Love isn't the answer to every problem, but I believe that Freddie believed in love since he was a little kid until his death. Also, he gave a ton of money to charities. And every Christmas, he used to throw a party and open his house to those friends who had no family left -in some cases because they were gay and their families had abandoned them. Freddie was their "mother": that's the word he used.
There's a part of this song that ALWAYS makes me think of The Lion King.
Yeah and every Christmas Freddie gave lots of food to the poor.
Yeah Peter said they were invited round for Christmas dinner
Peter had to ring everyone to check if they had somewhere to go,if not invite them around
And everyone had to get a preasent for everyone
I I think that was really nice of him
Great reaction HAP. I just love your rambling on. I am going to throw a couple of songs at you from QUEEN'S first album QUEEN. I first song I got is DOING ALL RIGHT. The harmony between FREDDIE, ROGER and BRIAN are off the charts. The second song is MODERN TIMES ROCK AND ROLL. This song was written by ROGER and ROGER sings lead on the album but if you watch it live at the Rainbow concert in 1974 FREDDIE sings lead. I just how you interpret how the songs are going. I just love to watch you break it down. You got alot of QUEEN to go. Thank you HAP. Take care and have a good evening. Your girl, QUEEN BEE.
Ive never heard this before, but of course i just started 6 months ago listening to queen. Im just amazed how this mans voice is so dam strong.and the icing on the cake is freddy performing the song.oh my god, hes got it all 👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 and hap ireally love your reactions, you get so involved in a song.😍😍
Another great song from Innuendo, one of my favourites from it is “Ride the wild wind” with some of Rogers finest drumming ever....great track that I’d recommend you check out. It’s fantastic either with vocals or as instrumental
I sent Haps the same request for exactly the same reason, Roger at his best.
Love that song!
@@bigmallly7863 “the eye” instrumental version which is available on TH-cam is awesome, really brings out the drumming and superb guitar solo
@@markpalmer7215 Excellent............Downloaded ready for the car tomorrow.
FANTASTIC SONG ALOT OF WORDS BEING TOSSED AROUND. I AGREE WITH YOUR ANALYSIS. YES THE ONES WITH ABUNDANCE IN THEIR LIVES WILL BE QUICK TO SPEAK AND PROMISE. SOME WITH SINCERE HEARTS, OTHERS JUST EMPTY WORDS. BUT SO OFTEN IT IS THE LESS FORTUNATE WITH LITTLE TO NOTHING AT ALL WITH THE BIGGEST HEARTS WILLING TO DO ALL THEY CAN BECAUSE THEY LIVE WITHOUT AND STRUGGLE. THESE ARE THS PURE OF CONSCIENCE. BUT THE OTHERS HAVE TO LIVE WITH THEIRS. A VERY REALISTIC ANALYSIS, HAP! AND VERY INTERTAINING!!💜💜🙏
Love that on a couple of times you mentioned people who have no homes and should be recognised as real people. I help out at a soup kitchen twice a week and those in need are real people and not always as you would expect the person to need help with food, clothing or just to sit and listen to them.
The words you are looking for is "gospel music". When you add Brian's guitar, I call it "Gospel rock"! The harmonies sound like a choir. It's beautiful and Freddie's voice sounds so strong!
Freddies most used lyric was of course "Yeah", it is the last "song" on thier last studio album "Made in Heaven".
Roger Taylor has a new album ready to drop, cannot wait.
Is this the world we created is a great one too.
Brilliant and extremely heartfelt reaction to a very beautiful, intelligent, and insightful song 🎵
I think you got out of this song exactly what Freddie/ Queen, wanted the listener to get. I've said from the beginning, you've got a gift, and indeed you have.
Freddie was a gentle & kind hearted man while he was alive, and imo, his thoughtfulness about others was evidenced by songs like this one. Thanks for another awesome reaction! Ps; still looking forward to reaction to "The Great Pretender" by Freddie (when you have time, of course) please.
I love it...thank you for playing it...
Jesus was track 9 on Queen I album, All Gods' People was track 7 on Innuendo album.
That's RIGHT!💕
Great reaction! I think we are God's people is saying that we are all deserving of goodness and life affirming qualities and that we shouldn't forget and judge others or perceive them as less worthy for any reason. He points to politicians to say look and listen as a way of saying that they need to be grounded in what's really going on in the world and people's needs. That's my interpretation - of course, this may not be at all what they had in mind...
I thought exactly the same as you that that section was very reminiscent of American Gospel preachers who almost sing their words. My first time hearing and I closed my eyes half way through to concentrate on all the different sounds coming every which way into each ear! Another very original Queen song.
Great reaction! I think the lyrics mean that people should help each other and open their homes for those in need - "give freely, make welcome inside your homes". That's what Freddie did, he gave money to everyone who needed it and helped in every way he could.
Wonderful song! What a song of fresh music! Love your reaction to it!!❤️❤️❤️
It would be nice to listen to Jesus now for comparing, from Innuendo album is my favorite video I ´m Going Slightly Mad, thank you for your good job
Reaching those on the edge of the night. Accept everyone. Welcome everyone.
Mike Moran and Freddie wrote this song. Mike Moran is the one who wrote the songs for the Barcelona album. Freddie never liked doing songs about politics or religion, but he was so very near death doing Innuendo that several of the songs on the album are very deep. They are all credited to Queen, but Freddie wrote most of them. They are a reflection of a dying man. If that’s not meaning, nothing is.
Please don’t forget to do Tie Your Mother Down live at Wembley 1986 Saturday 7/12 night. I think it’s better than the Friday version you reacted to. Also, Love of My Life from 1986 Wembley. It’s so very very different from the one you did from Rock in Rio way back. It will show you this mans amazing relationship with his fans.
👍👍
According to mike this was meant to be on Freddie second solo but they left it to do the Barcelona album
It was recorded end of 86 or early 87
Brian did guitar on the track so they offered it for innuendo when they needed another track
I think Freddie and mike would have been credited for all the songs if theyd done the solo as they were on Barcelona
But mike prodominatly composing the music and Freddie the lyrics
But they both contributed to both
Tim rice wrote two of the Barcalona songs
No. Freddie wrote the songs. Mike played the piano
@@janetschulman7649 I saw an interview with Mike Moran & he said that Freddie was “out of lyrics” so they both asked Tim Rice to write the lyrics for THE GOLDEN BOY & THE FALLEN PRIEST. The music was already composed by Freddie. Tim said THE GOLDEN BOY is Freddie!! Freddie was quoted in the interview: “Not everybody has a Bernie Taupin”. 😄
@@debramoore7513 yes. He hired someone else to do the lyrics for the fallen priest and one other.
THANK YOU for this great interpretation. I never thought that Freddie impersonated a pastor in the middle of this song. You have a point! He experimented a lot with gospel and religious themes in Barcelona album (this song is from that period).
Hap thank you for this awesome reaction! Excellent ☺️ can't be better than your insightful and honest reaction(s). That's why I(we) listen to what you gotta say. I feel this song! It is a genius song like you mentioned. Have a lovely day 🌹
Che bello rivederti Hap 💖 una buona recensione 😉 grazie per il piccolo viaggio insieme. Un bacio 💋 dall’Italia 🌹🌹🌹
Sorry I got you into bother over the Young Pappy reaction, Hap! 🤣🤣🤣 I haven't listened to this one for a long time so thanks for a great reaction. 👍
"Rule with your heart, live with your conscience"...it would be good, wouldn't it?
Great, very smart lyrics, Queen as usual are very insightful... Maybe they could be making a reference to some of Freddie's charity work, he did a lot of them. Or maybe not, who knows?
Love the Innuendo album.
Thanks, Hap, loved your analysis of it 🧡🧡🧡
This is a special song, its again so so different. This song always reminds me of Donkey Kong because I always picture the jungle when I hear these instrumentals and the soundtrack on Donkey Kong Country games are out of this world. Anyways Freddie does so many high notes in this song and its so cool but especially the high note in the background at 4:58 is a F5 its sung with Full Force and belting its just soooo Powerful. 13:41 when you talked here I just randomly looked at your background and saw your lights, they change to you talking? wow just noticed it now... xD That's cool. Thanks for reading out of the Book its always interesting, Great Reaction. And the line ''So sad it ends as it began'' (yes the line from White Queen) cant be more true with Queen. There is so much more great music to explore, Hope you will react to very underrated stuff one day that I found, would like to see your reactions. But everything with time.
Liked your reaction and the good old faithful book 👍😊
I love this song because it's one of those where it shows how strong and powerful it's his voice even though his body is deeply weakened by AIDS
“WE’RE ALL GOD’S PEOPLE” ....”Gotta face up - Better grow up. Gotta stand tall & be strong”.......... MADE IN HEAVEN .... “When stormy weather comes around it was made in Heaven. When sunny skies break thru behind the clouds I wish it could last forever, yeah!” 🤣 HAP, you’re the preacher man right now. Hallelujah - Let us be thankful 🙏🙏 He’s so incredible!! 😇 AMEN!!
Freddie the preacher, love it, there other Gospel inspired hit was of course "Somebody to Love"
Did you notice that from 19.3 on the Yoube Chanel Queen Offical with the Name Queen greatest, 50 moments of the band put together by Rodger and Brian will be published weekly. This should also include surprises and unpublished material. I am so excited.
Great reaction !! I would’ve NO idea what this song was about w/o ur amazing interpretation. U really feel the music! Someone mentioned here about it & I really agree w/ that u’ve got gifted. Thanks! 👍🏼🎶💜
I believe the preachers say: Praise the Lord! Hap, you lost me in your monoloque, almost forgot to concentrate on the song! 🙂 (that was a compliment, btw) I agree, reality can be hard and this beautiful message of universal love can't be applied in life all the time, but we can try, or dream about it, right?
A lot of Freddie's songs mentioned God, Jesus, Angel, good vs evil from the beginning, The Innuendo songs, per Brian was in a way helping Freddie to reach the end before it came. Freddie was raise to believe in God, (I feel he thought about God a lot in the end, my opinion.) Great reaction.
Freddie was not religious and definitely had nothing to do with jesus. the lyrics of Innuendo sums up how he felt about religion, although before I think he just didn't care.
@@linaskranauskas
Peter said he did beleive in God but didn't like the hypocrisy of religions
Jim said he found him several times praying
@@linaskranauskas religion is different from a belief in God, religion is a man made thing, it causes division. Freddie wrote a song called Jesus, many songs had mentions of the Lord, devil, and a angel in Black Queen. Freddie stated God was looking after him, at Wembley at the end of the concert he said God bless you. People who do not believe in a God would never say that. I don't find it hard to believe that he did believe, but maybe he just didn't voice everything to others, that would fit Freddie's personality. As I said, it's my opinion only.
@@deboraclark5791 I agree with you. You can not listen to many songs on Innuendo or It's a beautiful day on made in heaven and not see that.
I saw an interview where Freddie points upward & says “He’s looking out for me”.
Hmmmm .....
They relate because they were very poor at one time. You leave home when your 18, sometimes 17, 16 and you have zero. So you relate.
Gospel church and good song sung by Freddie.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love it. But then, there are very few Queen-songs I don't love, lol. I even love Delilah... keep singing it to my cats, but they don't share my enthusiasm.
I love Deliah so cute and fun 😁
@@nataliebagshaw2773 That must be a sign of a TRUE cat lover, cuz I like the song TOO.
11:24 😂😂 you made my day
I loved that reaction of him 🤣🤣🤣
Great Reaction and I feel the same way about _Innuendo_ - it's an amazing album. Reminder that "Home" is also a metaphor for the body, the brain, and/or the heart. Beautiful!
Thanks for the info!
Perfect analysis! 👍🏻 I truly respect and look forward to your thoughts. Thank you 😊
You pick up on everything , all the changes , your interpretation is spot-on lots of the time !
Love your reactions Happ3!
If you like this one you would love 'let me live'. One of my favs :3
I played music in high school and college bands, but I didn't really listen to a lot of popular music, so a lot of this is new to me. I'm really enjoying listening to the music you're playing and your reactions. I'm surprised by the religiosity of this song. I saw a documentary that said Freddy's parents were Zoroastrians, and while I don't know anything about their beliefs, maybe Freddy was raised with those beliefs and values and they were coming out in this song. Hope that made sense. I'm going to listen again because I was typing most of the time you were playing and reacting! I might have gotten it all wrong! I haven't listened to "Jesus" yet, either. I'll listen to it soon.
'"Make welcome inside your homes" HAP'S OUR HOMES AREOUR HESARTS, Welcome all who are "deserving"
❤️❤️❤️
Sounds like a Disney type music
Hapz what was your first ever song of Queen you reacted to
Please try Rock meadly from 1977.
Live with you conscience.
(I was getting a notice that my original comment didn't post but I do see it. Hope you can too🙂)
Happy please play Roger Taylor's "Old Friends".
You Talk about Aliens and sont wear your NASA Shirt😁
Hap, with you please react to Salvador Sobral’s “A Case of You” ? thanks
Love Queen but not one of my favorites, still a good song, dont get me wrong,no bad Queen, lol,Mike Moran wrote with Freddie most of the Barcelona songs,I think this song was meant to be on that album but then queen did it,U havent done Machines from Queen, older song, havent been on again much, sorry, always appreciate your channel
It is a brilliant song. Do Don't Try So Hard

@@HAP3SPEAKZ Just seen, sorry, I actually commented when you did it haha
Gospel music. He loved it. ESP Arethas gospel
Hap , I had to pause the video to answer your question , they are evangelical preachers , typically below the Mason Dixon line which divides the North from the South ( the US Civil War ) sorry for getting very slightly political in my description 🤐👍🙂
Good to be back on your channel , I've been having some personal time since my mother suddenly passed away january 18, I finished restoring my Ibanez ROADSTAR 2 guitar that I bought new in 83, I need to finish a song for my mother , my guitar is a reflection of my mom I guess ,I would love to send you pics of her as she is today , she sounds incredible, sustain forever , how can I send you a picture of my guitar 🎸?
Please react Keep Passing The Open Windows Hap, love the lyric
Heyup Haps, not one of my favs I'm afraid.................Queen & Gospel don't go together for me................I would be far too biased if I liked every Queen song.
they do go together just fine. Somebody to Love wouldn't exist without gospel
Hmmm. This song I wouldn't say I'll listen to it again. Obviously the music and vocals were great but there are soooooooo many Queen songs that are better. It was my understanding that Freddy was not a very religious man but maybe toward the end he found it again?
