Looking forward to seeing y'all's journeys through BMTH and Babymetal's back catalogs 🤘 definitely 2 bands that are not afraid to explore sound and genres and constantly mix things up and keep themselves fresh
I'm glad you touched on how BMTH highlights features. To me it is crediut to the band as musicians to be flexible, and how they let the other artists shine, and for young artists like Youngblud and Babymetal it can really make a difference in their careers. I hope you do delve into the babymetal catalog because even after being a fan for years, when a new song comes out you never know what to expect - each song is different.
for me if we talk about genre bending me think Babymetal is Masters on that category because they have 40+ song that sound different every single one of them. big respect to BMTH for giving Babymetal big part on the Kingslayer song.
On the "Being a bunch of nerds" subject, the answer is YES, DEFINITELY. Parasite Eve is a survival horror game from the 90s, Dear Diary is inspired by Resident Evil, they got Mick Gordon from Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal (2020) to help produce the more aggressive electro synth metal vibes of the album, because they've been playing videogames during quarantine, they are (specially Oli) huge Kojima fans since the olden days (Sempiternal has a song called Shadow Moses, that is a plot point from Metal Gear Solid, a classic Kojima game). All in all, they are pretty much a buncha dorky nerds with aggressive metal energy and insane talent.
Which song is my favorite depends on my mood every day. Sometimes it's Dear Diary, sometimes it's Kingslayer. Every song on the whole album is different and great. Thank you for your reaction!
I've been listening to BMTH since their first album, and I've always loved them, even Amo, but this EP is the best thing that they've released. I fully stand by this, and my favorite songs are Kingslayer and Butterflies. Also you guys are great, I love your opinions on songs! Keep up the good work.
I hope to see a few reactions to their albums Semptiternal and That’s the Spirit too! Their last album Amo could be really interesting because of his experimental sound and well, the Royal Alber Hall live concert of course. I’m a big fan of BMTH so i will follow you on your journey discovering them. I just mentioned those albums but they have a lot of good and heavy stuff too in their other albums. It’s up to you, i will be there☺️. Keep up the good work guys and good luck for the channel , you are great!
My favorites are Teardrops, and Butterflies. This is one of my favorite albums to come out this year. Thanks for sharing your opinions and thoughts with us. Also Alice I love your new hair. 🖤💜
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast If you guys are interested Epica is a great band with clean vocals and dirty vocals meshing together beautifully. Try one of their newer songs “Abyss of Time” or if you want to try an older one do “Cry for the Moon.”
I've really enjoyed watching your reactions to BMTH's music. You have such a genuine reaction each time. I'm definitely going to be spending the next few weeks checking out some of your reactions to other bands and artists!
You should check the sempiternal album and that's the spirit (doomed is in this album) by bmth Also if you want an album that really like a one song, check number[s] by woe is me, a bit rnb metalcore typeish
Man this album was great af just with the opener i was blown away it was a great ride can't wait for whats to come next year they're really talented great song writers but for my favorite feature it has to be amy lee i loved evanescence back in the day n it was amsome hearing her with 1 of my favorite bands!!!
All year my choice for Album of the year has been Polaris with “The Death of Me”. If you haven’t checked it out you should. It is one of those few albums that I can just listen to start to finish and don’t hop around. This EP is really making me reconsider. I’d love to see you react to Polaris if you haven’t heard them before.
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast do you think it would be something she might enjoy? I was thinking Marytr (Waves) or Pray for Rain for the more emotional side of their work. I also love the video for Masochist.
BTW, girl - I'm really diggin your hot-pink/red-ish eye makeup. Shit's fire. Noticed on a previous reaction, thanks for rocking it again girl🤘💕🔥 Also incredibly refreshing to see INTELLIGENT musicians and artists - real people - discuss real art. Album is a masterpiece, BMTH, Oli & Jordan are living legends of music of this generation. As usual, this won't be truly realized/recognized/praised until seen in hindsight. But for years to come, they will be THAT influence. Same as they were greatly inspired and influenced by the Legendary band Linkin Park, so much that it is obviously audible in this masterpiece. BMTH is the "S. H. I. T" that is the healing of many souls, mine for sure. ❤️ Not comparing musical styles, just impact.. This whole vibe and EP is the equivalent of Nirvana's "Nevermind" impact back in the 90's. None of us that lived thru that(me) at the time, really KNEW THEN what became hugely evident and goes without any arguments now. BMTH entire career is EPIC and this EP is like THE climatic scene in the best life and will certainly be seen as a far-reaching, historical music influence that changed everything in music after it. 🤘💯🔥 💥You'll see...BET🤘
My 14 year old sister said the exact same thing about Kingslayer sounding like an anime intro lol she loves that, she’s very into her anime phase but she’s loooving BMTH my favorite is 1x1 because I connect to it on a deep emotional level, my head feels like that 24/7 but Teardrops and One Day are tied for me as well. Anything with Amy is honestly amazing, I’ve loved her for forever, I get goosebumps every time I hear her voice and her with Oli was just holy shit, so beautiful! And the deeper meaning behind it takes it to a whole new level! I love them all honestly. All and all I’m happy that the guys are doing what they want to do and what they love and people are here for it. I’ve been listening to BMTH since the beginning pretty much and I’ve loved them every single step of the way. I’m so glad you both loved it! 🖤🤘🏼 I need this to be album of the year even though it’s just an EP but it’s sooo good man.
