I want to add to the point where you said sir's habit of not confronting kids. I feel it is because of his own daddy issues. He never had emotional support or in a way strong bond with his dad so he wants to cherish each and every moment with his own kids. He wants to prove himself well as a dad (he surely is ). He just is scared about loosing bond with kids by scolding them. I don't intend to give unsolicitated advice but you can help sir by talking the issues out . And yes if you don't realise enough - you both are amazing people, amazing partners , amazing parents !!!

I think I agree more with Dad on girls not staying out late evenings somehow in our Indian society these days Moms are taking wrong meaning of Independence , and not passing it to girls as they themselves think we don’t want anybody permission to go out with friends etc which is wrong. After marriage family is more imp than friends , spend some time with Husband , Still ladies has to lead by example..we hear so many incidents happens in news & moms knew about all what girls doing still not stopped either open minded ness or so called fashion and suffered at the end.

Kieran I adjusted for long 20 years not only in laws but also extended in laws .. I was missing myself … but four years ago a big issue came in my life .. I chose myself .I’m very happy, I work ..no bull shit from anybody and do what I want .. and on my own wish.. do not please anybody because they all never cared for my feelings and health ..I almost went on for nervous breakdown … then I overcame the betrayal they did to me and they know they did me wrong.. its only me I don’t care
