    Hey I just had a question and was hoping someone could help me. I drive a 2001 Honda civic and every time I go above 60 in it it starts to vibrate/shake. At first I thought it was tire pressure but I checked that and it’s fine. Thanks again, sorry for the long winded question.

    By the way, I've discovered that when something doesn't sell on FB for a while, it gives you the option to "delete and relist" - when it does that it apparently defaults the item to one that has "stock", so if you see something that is obviously not a stocked item as "in stock" it's probably been listed for over several weeks and relisted again using that automated function.

    I've been running a quick release for over 10 years now. It's nice having the steering wheel closer to me, not having the damn thing in my legs so I can heel-toe with ease, and being able to get in and out of my vehicle with ease since I'm a tall fucker by nature. Can't say I agree with your statements on quick release. You tailor the car to the driver. Not all of them have all the adjustments necessary for a comfortable driving position from the factory. Especially old Japanese cars. My Miata doesn't even have a tilt column, much less a telescoping one. Someone like me has to have the seat all the way back just to fit in a lot of these old cars, the quick release not only brings the wheel closer to me so my arms aren't over extended, but it makes it so I can get in and out o the vehicle with ease which is a pain with a wheel in place. Also makes it easier to work on under dash bits when I have to do that kind of stuff.

    Quick release ONLY makes sense if you have proper bucket seats where it's hard to get in and out of the seats if you have the steering wheel in the way. That's the main reason to have one and I had one just for that reason on my track car a couple of years ago. It looks fuckin' dumb if you have one when you're perfectly capable of getting in and out of your seat without any trouble

    Weird story on how I ended up with a quick release hub:
    Bought a bone stock 1985 CRX Si as my first car when I was 19 years old. Didn't do much to it for a while, but I found that the original steering wheel was just sticky and gross from decades of use. I am slightly taller than some and my knees kept knocking into the wheel. I bought a Mugen steering wheel and an OMP hub spacer. Then I thought it'd be nice to be able to prevent the car from being messed with so I replaced it with a Works Bell quick release hub. Buying genuine parts was very expensive but it feels great and because the Works Bell hub doesn't do the *ding* it doesn't encourage you to be a total dork.

    I think a quick release steering wheel provides an additional layer of thief protection. Not seeing a steering wheel should put off most thieves. My 240 has a pretty fat roll cage, I already know ima get shit on for it too, but I also have a quick release, just makes getting in a little bit easier so I have 0 regrets (until I get into a crash and die)

    just found the channel and going through all the backlog, i love it.
    Also my 84 celica autocross shitbox has the nrg setup lol. But i am too tall for the car so it was the cheapest way to bring the wheel to me with the seat in a spot that fits me and my helmet on. Removing it helps with getting in and out when codriving. Its not the show car, its ugly and the ugly wheel is purely practical. But i got it like 8 years ago so i dont think i noticed a trend, i just looked at a replacement hub option that was cheap... lol. I also skipped out on buying a wheel that had a dumbass catchphrase and anime eyes on it, so i really whiffed it.
    Keep roasting these hard parkers 👍

    I have a quick release in my NA Miata solely for the purpose of making it easier to get in and out of the car as it used to get in the way and it got annoying. same with adding scissor doors as it made it easier to get into when in tight parking spots as I do daily it and so many time's i have to squeeze myself between the door and the car

    • @araarathisyomama787
      @araarathisyomama787 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I can kind of see it on a Miata, because these things have fixed steering column, but the seats move pretty far back (tho I have an NB for reference, I'm 175cm and almost anorectic tbh...). But dude, scissor doors? Where do you live that you actually need them?

    I have a QR and Spoon Momo wheel on my DC2 itr. Two reasons, the 1998 UKDM stock wheel is ugly and has no airbag anyway and I store my car in a garage block next to my flat, so it’s another layer of security as a deterrent for opportunists (on top of an alarm and tracker). Couldn’t give a shit about clout, dings or it being a ‘trend’ as well.

    Hey now hold up... my big ol 6'4 as* really likes my quick release wheel as it helps me get more space to get in and out of my bucket seats (by get up I mean hoist myself out of the damn thing as the seat sits right in line with the b pillar). but then again its in my m3 track car and by no means a daily/street car

    I have a quick release but its cause it's an 87 mk3 supra and im 6'4". normal seats? barely fit. bucket seats with slider? barely fit cause it added an inch or so of height. left me going hard mounted bucket for the driver. got the quick release because even though the mk3 has a tilt wheel that will return to the desired setting it didn't tilt up enough for my long ass legs and because I got a deep dish because my legs pushed me away from the wheel to the point my arms were closer to straight when reaching for the wheel. also only reason I justified the wheel was because I wasn't losing airbags any way since there weren't any to begin with
