@@joelb1299 You can literally pause the video and see 8 completely synchronized blue explosions from the mine. And i stand corrected, since "only" 7 of them were dying zealots, the other one was a dragoon hit. Even if they were meant to tank, 7 of the in just one mine volley is awesome value.
@@elpantruca9777 Right, they were being hit by tank fire from high ground. That zealot push led to Protoss containing Terran on high ground, then Protoss was able to harass with shuttle drops. That small zealot sacrifice not only costed Terran more in minerals, but the gas loss for the tank kills it set up for was excellent. Terran got stuck on that side of the map pretty much the rest of the game.
That was in fact a spider mine hit and not a seige tank hit, and it was a good mine not a very good trade for protoss. Yes they need to be tanking hits from spider mines but that's with 1 or 2 zealots and not 7
I think Motive got out of the majority of the engagements at a disadvantage, but he out-macroed soso so hard that he just kept coming back with more units.
So so played pretty darn well at this game. He tried to kill some Protoss bases towards the end. I was counting on him. If he could taken the Center map Motive would have a hard time to defend his base towards west side. So far so good for both players.
It feels like almost every time I watch PvT I just see Terran getting demolished by storm. The value they can get out of those seems insane to me - what's the counter? I'm struggling to think of a game I've seen that seemed fairly even where the Templar was countered, like, if I see Toss has Templar and Terran isn't already overpowering them, it's gg at that point.
@TheGero95 gotta love when people whine about protoss and shit like storm while they moving shot vultures for infinite probe kills or use plague for free damage.
Why is it not a big deal that protoss (and zerg) always seems to have 3-4 bases, more workers and supply when terran only has 2? Doesn't this snowball and make eventually taking new bases much harder like we saw here? Terran can't defend that many bases at that stage can they?
terran army is slow so its hard to defend before you have big enough army, zerg needs a ton of gas to buy usefull units and protoss is just really fast at maxing out and expanding
Zergs have low drone count they don’t typically oversaturate their bases unlike toss and terran. Starcraft is so special because it is asymmetrically balanced. Also zerg doesn’t have their production centralized they have to produce out of all their bases.
@filippetrula1234 this is a mistake. What you see in this single game demonstrates the actual reason perfectly. Zerg and Protoss win by map control, not base count. Having map control breaks the map into high ground islands which further incapacitate the Terran army. It is pretty difficult to find this out about the game.
Its so silly how braindwadgoon can endlessly waste units against terran but against zerg they would be ruined of they play a wasteful game... just shows how nuch terran needed cheap anti armor like the marauders.
x2 attacks not good in a row?who needs to do good attacks when you play no skill race where you take 3 main bases + many more bases. And doing attacks all game while terran cant do anything until 20 minutes. Then terran tries to do some attack and he cant win anymore because he did 1 mistake.
Finally a Terran loss, amazing how imba it is that Terran can manage to hold on for so long despite only having 50% of the economy. Blizzard needs to hire me to rebalance the races: I'll do the following changes to the Terran race to balance up the game. Siege tanks - Siege mode animation time increased to 5seconds - Range reduced by 1 - Hit point reduced by 50 - Gas cost increased by 25 Marines - Stim duration reduced by 30% - Stim cost 10 extra health Medics - Health reduced by 20 - Mineral cost increased by 25 Ghosts: - Lockdown mana cost reduced by 25 Will wait for Blizzard's call to arms, to rebalance this game.
11:42 best spider mine i've ever seen. 8 zealots taken out inmediately
If by 8 you mean 4 and it those zealots were tanking mines and tank hits for the goons. More impressed with the Protoss play there.

And yes protoss play was really good this game but take a minute to appreciate a good unlikely valuable explosion

Yeah this was just macro winning the match, not a lot of good micro from Motive really just zerging it up with endless waves.
For a short time he had 83 workers. Can't even recall the last time ive seen a pro match with that many workers.
It took 3 rewinds to get the gist of the game. Wow, I knew I didn't have what it took to play Protoss, but it is deeper than Terran for sure.
Why can't SCV'S attack air if they can repair floating buildings?
They use repairing ray for that

Thanks for the casts!
great game and once again great cast thanks tosis
Great Protoss play!!
Good gaming but yeah I would second that the engagements were pretty well both ways I would say it's just the mackerel game mode of ran away with
Protoss units coming from nowhere like cheat code

Preemptive drops and shutting down shuttles. But yeah it’s hard for Terran to snipe HTs, at least Zerg has mutas.
Terran tried to drop, it is a very expensive strategy with little compensation. 1 dropship is equal to a siege tank.
I'm rooting for soso so that a Terran can finish in the top 3.
Terran always win tournaments
protoss always cheat with their arbiters and their shuttle n sheeit. blizzard needs to nerf protoss!
Protoss is a more mobile army than Terran. If they can expand, of course it will be to their benefit, same as Zerg.
I thought terran will build 4 drop ship and drop some units here 12:28
Arty the caster is my favorite Arty.
Arty the burper is my 2nd favorite Arty
“🅱️rotoss… excuse me”
I was expecting more than two drops honestly lol
why no zealot speed all game basically?
Artosis said it would be risky. Really interesting point...
This it's just like legacy of the void with protoss and zerg getting the medals and Terran only there for the honorific mention.
Watch ASL... see 50% won by Terran... rethink opinion. Thanks.
Terran players need to defend better. Even Flash lost to Bisu when he let Protoss roam the map. It is a big mistake for Terrans to lose map control.
Go beast for the win of the final
Soso played well, much better K/D ratio
I'm always confused with the proper pronunciation, is it zealot or is it zealot?
great game
GG
hey gaiz!
he is sucking the resources right off that map.... just like mario and luigi...
God I hate Protoss
Storm storm storm meanwhile Terran did countless number of micro and positioning
How many protoss in current ASL? And who won the last two)
@TheGero95 gotta love when people whine about protoss and shit like storm while they moving shot vultures for infinite probe kills or use plague for free damage.
damn, no gg
Bring back ban/unban

@@charlescook5542 but if zerg get enough drones and bases it's usually gg
Terran bases and troops are more efficient, they don’t need to expand as much. 4 base Terran = 6-7 base Toss

Well they improved Terrans in SC2. Now there’s no challenge to play them
2nd
I love protoss. It’s the weakest race but it’s the most beginner friendly
Try playing this game against Terran. I don't think they are beginner's picks.
another boring pvt..

this aint funny chief
d22-soso, memory unlocked. Anyone remember him from the old blizz tournaments?
