The fight in Ocean Gem happened almost two years before the SU present, and Connie didn't confront Lapis directly in person. I'm sure that Steven has told Connie about what's happened with Lapis since then, so if there's friction between her and Lapis it won't be from what happened in Ocean Gem. The same applies with Peridot.

I kinda do too, but at the same time that would also probably be a catastrophe for Lapis and enough to completely take her out of the action considering the past trauma she has with fusion. If it is by accident she wouldn't even be able to prepare herself for it mentally. I don't know, but I'm thinking about it kind of as if someone who's been locked in an abusive relationship got an accidental kiss - the lack of control over the situation would make it almost as bad as if it had been intentionally forced on her until she's able to calm down and be rational about it and a battle wouldn't really offer enough time to calm down.
I just keep thinking it would be a great way for peridot to show compassion and not be her usual snarky self, helping lapis through her terror and trauma

I still don't believe Lapis is a Crystal Gem. Sure she's playing nice with them, but that's because she has to. She only cares about Steven and to some extent Peridot, but right now she's "acting like she's in retirement" like Rebecca said. I believe her true feelings will surface soon and they will be a great conflict between her and the Gems. After all there still a lot of unsaid things and resentment there. Garnet even referred to her as "[Steven's] friend." not theirs. I really don't see Lapis ever become a Cristal Gem under any circumstance. Yeah she lives with one, but that doesn't make her one. She still doesn't care about the Earth. She'll help because it's in her best interest right now, but that's it. Plus all of Lapis and Peridot's relationship developing off screen is suspicious to me. I think Lapis is just pretending to be OK, and that shes ok with everything. So a Crystal Gem? No. Unaffiliated ally? Sure. But perhaps this episode will change that? Idk man. Doesn't seem like it.

If she declares herself a CG, it would be because she's planning something imo. I think her really becomeing a Crystal Gem at this point would fly in the face of her entire character. Jasper may agree to fuse with Lapis to form Malachite and take down the Diamonds, then when Malachite (under Lapis's control) becomes drunk with power and decides to destroy everyone, Jasper takes over one last time to crack her own gem with her fist so that Malachite goes down. Thus Lapis is stuck in a form that can't be recovered or healed completely, so Steven has to shatter both gems in Malachite to save everyone else.
CallMeRemy It just something I came up with off the top of my head. I didn't work out all the plotholes and such yet. Basically what I'm saying is Jasper will do a reverse of what Lapis did the first time they formed Malachite. That is, Jasper would willingly trap herself in a fusion in order to trap Lapis into being stuck with the one Gem who is capable of withstanding Lapis's abilities on her own. If Lapis is stuck with Jasper as Malachite, Jasper can use that to her advantage by sacrificing herself so that they both get poofed/shattered and Lapis won't be able to attack anyone else again. Of course, this is all on the assumption that Lapis will turn against Steven and the Gems while Jasper gets redeemed and joins the side protecting Earth. We don't have any onscreen evidence yet, but I would imagine that if a gem (or multiple gems) got cracked while being a fusion, the fusion itself would show the affects of being cracked rather than the fusion coming undone and one Gem person has a cracked gem and the other doesn't. I'm not a Jasper/Lapis shipper or anything like that. I know they're bad for each other on every level. But I think they're interesting characters in their own right. Tbh the only people I ship are Steven/Connie and Lars/Sadie (and Ruby/Sapphire obviously).

I have a feeling it's going to be something like: Lapis and Peridot are bored, so first Connie takes them to the Big Donut. Peridot decides the donut oven is too inefficient, and while tinkering with it, she causes donuts to fly out like missiles and the oven catches on fire, leaving Lapis to put out the fire. Somehow Peridot gets poofed by this and they have to carry her gem around until she reforms. Then Connie takes Lapis and Peridot's gem to visit the car wash, where Lapis does meepmorps with the hoses and sprinklers. Hijinks ensue, and when all seems lost, Peridot reforms with her star and "fixes" the car wash. Then Steven comes home and decides he really really wants a donut and Greg wants to check up on the car wash. After Connie does her best to keep them away, they find out the Big Donut is a burnt out wreck and the car wash is completely flooded. Then...star wipe!

I really want a episode where after they bring back the Ruby Squad from space (If they do) The Crystal Gems would try to calm them down, but nothing worked. Finally Garnet unfuses because they think that Ruby will make them feel better. BUT when they see Sapphire...all the rubies fall in LOVE!
Great video man! Here are my thoughts/ predictions on the upcoming episode..................................... 1) Connie meets Peridot, Lapis, and Veggie Head 2) after some wacky hijinks, a threat of some sort appears 3) Peridot either fuses with Lapis, taking down the threat with Connie's help. Or Peridot gets poofed, Causing Lapis to go berserk. 4) Once things settle down, the Roaming Eye returns, and Steven utters the final line of the episode "So what did I miss?".
Well it's a possibility that it's an episode based on what happens at Beach City during the episodes that got leaked... Not done with the video yet so if he says that....yup
My guess about Steven's appearance in the episode being limited to the first few seconds in the phone call on Connie's end (telling her to protect Beach City) and possibly landing back home right at the end. Honestly I kind of just want some hijinks between Lapis Connie and Peridot of all of them going overboard about protecting the town in their own quirky ways (eg Peridot trying to install lasers everywhere and Connie trying to stop them from almost destroying people)
I bet it's gonna be like crack the whip it starts after Steven leaves Connie lapis and peridot hangout corrupted monsters attack and maybe/hopefully we get a lapidot fusion
I swear when I clicked on this I thought it was Awestruck Vox from The Roundtable until I heard "Slice of Otaku" and I actually replayed the clip then checked the channel name
I suspected that with Lapis' raw power, Connie's finesse, and Peridot's smarts they might be a good team; they haven't really interacted so I don't expect them to get along or coordinate well but I assume by the end of the episode they'll have that moment of "we need to get our act together" and succeed as a team. They won;t be perfect, but they'll get the job done, like any heroes thrust together in an unexpected scenario.

Midnight Graphics Well Jasper is very closed minded with her combat strategies, using her own weapon and being very hot headed in general. While Lapis is more open minded and being a terraformer gives her that attribute. Lapis can use beach city's water supply to fight, which is a large supply.

while you were talking about the fighting potential of lapis and peridot - lapis beeing the wildcard/muscle, while peridot relies on tech-gadgets and is really hard to poof - i thought: this will be the reason for their failure. lapis will eventually poof peridot by accident because both of them focus on their individual strenghs instead of working as a team.

I really want a episode where after they bring back the Ruby Squad from space (If they do) The Crystal Gems would try to calm them down, but nothing worked. Finally Garnet unfuses because they think that Ruby will make them feel better. BUT when they see Sapphire...all the rubies fall in LOVE!
If Connie was the main character she'd be asking for answers way back in season 1

Great video man! Here are my thoughts/ predictions on the upcoming episode.....................................
1) Connie meets Peridot, Lapis, and Veggie Head
2) after some wacky hijinks, a threat of some sort appears
3) Peridot either fuses with Lapis, taking down the threat with Connie's help. Or Peridot gets poofed, Causing Lapis to go berserk.
4) Once things settle down, the Roaming Eye returns, and Steven utters the final line of the episode "So what did I miss?".
I'm surprised that Peridot didn't get cracked when a boulder smashes on her head and Amethyst gets cracked from landing on a rock
let's be honest lapis is going to be carrying the B team

My guess about Steven's appearance in the episode being limited to the first few seconds in the phone call on Connie's end (telling her to protect Beach City) and possibly landing back home right at the end. Honestly I kind of just want some hijinks between Lapis Connie and Peridot of all of them going overboard about protecting the town in their own quirky ways (eg Peridot trying to install lasers everywhere and Connie trying to stop them from almost destroying people)
I bet it's gonna be like crack the whip it starts after Steven leaves Connie lapis and peridot hangout corrupted monsters attack and maybe/hopefully we get a lapidot fusion

I suspected that with Lapis' raw power, Connie's finesse, and Peridot's smarts they might be a good team; they haven't really interacted so I don't expect them to get along or coordinate well but I assume by the end of the episode they'll have that moment of "we need to get our act together" and succeed as a team. They won;t be perfect, but they'll get the job done, like any heroes thrust together in an unexpected scenario.

Midnight Graphics Well Jasper is very closed minded with her combat strategies, using her own weapon and being very hot headed in general. While Lapis is more open minded and being a terraformer gives her that attribute. Lapis can use beach city's water supply to fight, which is a large supply.

Anyone else hear the title Storm In The Room and immediately think of the Geode, which contains a storm that probably instantly poof any gem in the area if it were to be released. Or maybe Lapis gets the ability to create rain but either way.

while you were talking about the fighting potential of lapis and peridot - lapis beeing the wildcard/muscle, while peridot relies on tech-gadgets and is really hard to poof - i thought: this will be the reason for their failure.
lapis will eventually poof peridot by accident because both of them focus on their individual strenghs instead of working as a team.
