Congrats on this, such a fun and memorable event and a rare treat in the streaming world. The attention to detail are so excellent, and as someone who has worked on events for most of their adult life (in one capacity or another) this is just such a great show with an outstanding team. It’s so easy for those who have never been involved in producing something like this (a live beast of a show where Murphy’s Law reigns, with a million moving parts and hundreds of different people) to not understand how unprecedented and amazing this is on the platform. Massive kudos to everyone involved, and especially to QT.
I really treasure the moments where the nominees are serious, I feel like people shroud their genuine feelings too often with comedy and memes and it is really refreshing to get some heart to heart for once.

Such an amazing event. So well put together. It was so different from all the other corporate style award shows.
The only thing I am a bit sad now about is how people is just arguing like maniacs about who should have gotten some award or who shouldn't have...
I bet there will be people like that in this comment section too like chill guys...
im pretty sure it was viewer voted so. its not about being the best in the end its an award show and the fact that some of the smaller channels i was suprised to see even there was awesome. its only the first one. people can argue all they want but i think most people understand its still crazy to be apart of and watch.
It sucks in the short term, but long term…it’s great people are arguing about winners! I know that sounds odd given how vitriolic it can get, but clearly even people hating/being toxic see this as a meaningful and legitimate award. Hell, go on Twitter and look after any other big award show.

I'm so impressed with qt and maya putting this on! Would love to see another one next year.
This was the highest quality production of this kind on Twitch. The bar has been set so high and I really hope you're proud of yourself.

yo QT I just wanna say I think you guys absolutely killed this for the first year doing it and thank you for putting on a great show. It's odd we live in a world that it's "more fun" to hate on someone for trying to succeed or do big things with their lives rather than just be happy for them or enjoy all the effort they put into it.
I agree. It was even more amazing that she could put it all together and still host up on stage.
I really treasure the moments where the nominees are serious, I feel like people shroud their genuine feelings too often with comedy and memes and it is really refreshing to get some heart to heart for once.
Absoloutely insane, loved the stream, sticked around through the whole stream and loved every second of it
I'm so happy this worked out for QT. She took a big risk with this. Also with 300k+ concurrent viewers she will make bank from sponsors next year.
Well that was bloody impressive.
Really entertaining and funny stuff from QT and Maya, too. Heaps of funny moments, the atmosphere was great.
Really love that Sweet Anita presented an award, that was super cool to see. I was just thinking about how much more boring and lifeless this would have been if Twitch was in charge of it, or some event company or whatever.
The highlights of the night for me was QTs "no one will know I'm gay" joke, MoistCritical receiving an award with Penguinz0, and Stanz getting upcoming streamer with arguably the most drippiest fit at the venue

Ludwig screaming during the awkward breaks is too good 😭
Id say the show needed a boom mic on a stick for the carpet interviews and audience interviews. And an audience mic so we can hear the general cheers, boos, heckling. That way it doesnt sound so dead when people tell jokes erc
Yeah, boom mic would have been nice. I think they were following the interviews they're used to seeing where the mic can give the interviewer 'control' so that they can properly manage time. Problem is, none of the interviewers seem to be trained broadcasters so they just end up being more awkward with the mic.

The production quality of this event is simply mind boggling. Not so long ago, no one would’ve thought that people who play video games for a living would have the resources to do something this sophisticated. It’s really amazing how far streaming has come as a profession, and of course the level of dedication and talent individuals like QT have to make these events a reality.
