Here are some suggestions: Beyond the Western Deep. Its basically Game of Thrones with anthropomorphic animals (spoilers, that will be a theme in most of my suggestions). Its the story of these groups of animals separated by race and how they each conquered the land they live in. So far there are 2 hardcovers out but you can read it all online in case you want to try it first. Kairos by Ulysse Malassagne, one of the reasons I recommend this book is because it will give Omar a hard time trying to pronounce the authors name and we all love that. But more importantly this is the absolute best depiction of what true love is outside of Vinland Saga. If you want to teach someone the difference between true love and selfish love, show them this book. The art and story are a weird mix of ghibli and chibi style that I absolutely loved. If you give any books on my list a chance please let it be this one. It's such an underrated gem. There is one stand alone hardcover. Ava's Demon by Michelle Fus, do you have a girl who is about to hit those years in which they love edgy art and Tumblr cringy stories? Get them this book, they will not put it down. Just look up the art online and you will see what I mean. So far there is one hardcover out but again, you can read it online for free. Bianca Little Lost Lamb by Paolo Margiotta. It's the story of a anthropomorphic lamb trying to seek revenge against a group of lions. The story is dark and the book is bloody despite the art making it seem like it's a kids story, it is not. Only one standalone paperback so it's not that much of an investment. Short, sweet and will leave you wanting more. Probably has the best character designs of all my suggestions. Colder by Paul Tobin. A disturbing look into the world of mental illness. The antagonist is basically Joker and Loki mixed together. He feeds off peoples insanity. Literally. And he has been keeping one man alive for hundreds of years just so he can keep making this man more and more insane because it will be the best meal ever. But what happens when this man starts fighting back? It's the definition of craziness. Their fights take them into the debt of human understanding of what makes us who we are. It's a crazy trip. Feels like Morrison and Alan Moore had a hand in making this. Unnatural by Mirka Adolfo. Did you like Zootopia? Did you think it was kind of missing some blood and sex? Whelp do I have a book for you! Fantastic art and character design. The story is a bit soap opera-ish but it can be forgiven by how good the characters are. Not because they are "good" but because they are real.

I will add that Marvel Boy is very Morrisony which was not great for me (I'm probably in the minority for not being a Morrison fan), but if someone really likes Morrison's style they will love it. Speaking of Boom not sure if it's hidden but Giant Days is a heck of a gem.

Hey Omar I think you should check out Sing no Evil if you haven't already! It's about a Finnish metal band trying to break out. It has some of the best art I've seen and the pages really do come to life , it's definitely a lesser known book that no one talks about. I picked it randomly at my lcs and was really surprised. Check it out man!

I highly recommend The Stuff of Legend by Th3rd World Studios. It is a mix of Lord of The Rings and Toy Story, with a splash of Alice In Wonderland. There are five volumes out with a 6th (possibly final) volume planned at some point.
This is not a graphic novel but a manga. As a new reader, I just came across Star Blazers Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and I love it. I have read the 1st & 2nd volumes but I cannot find anything else on the title. My question is do you know if the publisher has canceled the book or anything. I will definitely check out D4ve, thanks.
I'm bummed Spider-Girl Complete Collection Volume 3 wasn't on the list. I know it's a complicated inclusion given the first 2 volumes being difficult to find, but it's a great book that not enough people know about. Spider-Girl Omnibus 2022!
