Sarah is AMAZING! Tellos is solid. Added Infinite Loop and Paybacks to my wish list. A hidden gem for me is Invisible Republic from Image by Gabriel Hardman, Corinna Bechko and Jordan Boyd. It's a thriller/mystery following a reporter from Earth who goes to Mars to write a story after the rebel leader who took control and seceded from the Earth government dies. There is chaos from the government falling apart and Earth forces reclaiming the planet. He gets hunted by government agents and freedom fighters both to hide the truth of how a "terrorist" came to power and shook up all aspects of this future government.
Love your videos Omar, Im always watching them to decide which comic books/graphic novels to buy. And so far Im very happy with my collection, thank you ☺️👍👍👍
Holy crap, Tellos! I haven't though of that comic in so long, so good! I haven't considered Sara to be a hidden gem because that's what turned me onto TKO.
I am so glad Omar finally spoke about The Paybacks. He was the one who introduced me to Buzzkill, and since the stories are connected it frustrated me so much that he never mentioned this book. Fun fact: There is an easter egg/surprise appearance from a character of Ghost Fleet in this book as well. All three of these books are written by Donny Cates, so I think that might have had something to do with it ;).
I've recently finished reading Hercules: Wrath of the Heavens by JD Morvan. It's a gritty, violent sci-fi take on the 12 labours story. The artwork is gorgeous! Shame it was cancelled after 5 issues. I'll keep this one in mind though/
Hey Omar just a quick question. You have so many great videos man, but have you done one on Top Shelf production comics? There isn’t many so maybe it isn’t worth it at all lol. Love ya man.
Just read Paybacks & it was great! It’s fun, the artwork is awesome & you can’t go wrong with Donny Cates. Sara looks really good definitely gonna pick that up. Thx Omar.
Great hidden Gems this month! HERO is fantastic, the art is overwhelming. TELLOS was a must read just because Mike Wieringo, but all this fantasy stuff really turn me off. SARA is on my waiting list for so long that I'm gonna push it forward right now. I'm adding Infinite Loop and The Paybacks on the list, thank you so much. I just finished KILLADELPHIA, it's definitely a good recommendation for everyone 👍
Infinite Loop is a good series, haven't read it in a while but I might have to revisit it...I'd recommend Nobody Is In Control published by Black Mask for anyone who enjoys Department of Truth
Omar read these gems (Elric saga) Elric: the ruby throne Elric:stormbringer Elric:white wolf Promethea Transmetropolitan Supreme blue rose Injection five ghosts Middle west Joe the barbarian Carbon gray Death vigil The sixth gun The crow Simon dark Annihilator The last god
Hmmm, I could swear that Sara and Sentient was going to be released in hardcovers later this year, but can't find anything about it. Is my old brain making up stuff again? I want those. Great mix of genres fantasy, greek mythology, melanie, super heroes and war :D .... oh, about war stories, someone needs to sign Sabaton to do their songs into comics, they do so much research into them. Then give me a cent or two for the suggestion :)
They were up for preorder for the end of this year and then got pushed to 2022. Now they don't seem to be showing up anywhere... Hopefully they didn't get cancelled
Starlight Cats is phenomenal by Shane Davis and his wife Yantzi if you haven't read it yet. It's for all ages. Think Voltron but the cats are real and the Singapore girl will steal your heart.
it's spider-mans 60th Birthday next year. I'm hoping we get Vol 6 soon. and hope we get some omni news soon. Aside from Thor things look kinda dry next year for Ol'Webhhead
I really enjoyed Asgard Vol. 1 Ironfoot and Asgard Vol. 2 The World Serpent. Both are free to read on Comixology. Really loved the art and it's a fun Viking age monster book. Forgot about Tellos. Need to re-read that.
Hey Omar great video I always love these hidden gems. I hope you managed to read some of the books I suggested in the last video. Got another recommendation if you're interested? It's called The Warship jolly Roger by Sylvain Runberg, art by Miquel Montlló from Magnetic press. Happy reading brother 👊
Walt's Comic Shop is far from the cheapest in Europe, and has a really short catalogue. Also rates Berserk Deluxe as OOP, while it's evergreen. Bunch of overpriced books to be honest.
Mr. Omar, if you do get a chance, please check your email as I would like to send you a 120pp oversized tpb of GALACTIC RODENTS of MAYHEM. I know how much you like hidden gems, thought you'd appreciate one on the house.
Hey all you mintiest !!
Elsa Charretier's art is so so good
No longer hidden gems 💎 after this video 👍
Who hates Ladyhawke?! That was an awesome film. I love Rutger Hauer!
So many people do. I love it.
Thanks, Omar and Melanie for the quality recs!
You are welcome!
Ladyhawke!

I’ll have to check it out.
Cheers Omar. This was a particularly good hidden gems month. I’ll be looking for all of these.
Thanks brother.
I got Sara as a giveaway on a channel and I have not read it yet, sounds like I better get on that. Thanks Omar!!
You should NEVER apologize for mentioning Lady Hawk. It’s dated, for sure, but it’s also poetic.
My man!
Love your videos Omar, Im always watching them to decide which comic books/graphic novels to buy. And so far Im very happy with my collection, thank you ☺️👍👍👍
That is awesome to hear. Thank you.
The Paybacks show up in Donny Cate's new series Crossover at Image too.
Holy crap, Tellos! I haven't though of that comic in so long, so good! I haven't considered Sara to be a hidden gem because that's what turned me onto TKO.
Its so good Tellos that is. I will say that I don't talk enough about TKO.
The panelling in 'the infinite loop' is cool!
I love it so much.
That Tellos art is insane…
Wieringo was amazing.

Yeah. You know I’ll be talking about Ghost Fleet sometime.
Love these segments
I love making them.
My hidden gem of the year big thanks to you has to be middlewest, it's so good!!
Love that book.
Favourite Ennis for me would be the Authority/Kev books and his 90s Dredd.
Ohhh Dredd.
I love David Rubín’s art - the Fenrir issue in Norse Mythology is beautiful. Also have his Beowulf, which I wouldn’t say is as good.
He’s so good.
Thanos would hate having hidden gems!
😂
Elsa Charretier did couple of issues of Starfire for DC (her art is amazing there too)
Sweet
Great vid guys

The lab is a comics from Europe comics that I think you'll like.
Hey Omar just a quick question. You have so many great videos man, but have you done one on Top Shelf production comics? There isn’t many so maybe it isn’t worth it at all lol. Love ya man.
Lady Hawke was an awesome movie. My whole family loved it. Yearly rewatch for us.
Yes!
Are you going to do an overview of Batman The World? Seems like an interesting concept.
I don’t remember if I picked it up.
Just read Paybacks & it was great! It’s fun, the artwork is awesome & you can’t go wrong with Donny Cates. Sara looks really good definitely gonna pick that up. Thx Omar.
You are welcome.

Great hidden Gems this month!

I just finished KILLADELPHIA, it's definitely a good recommendation for everyone 👍
Oh thank you for reminding me about Killadelphia
5:43 okay for real, I didn't expect It at all haha
Melanie interviewed Esla and her art is amazing. We got her art book.
Garth Ennis’ war books are worth talking about way more than they are.
Always. Which means I need to seek out my old copies.
Lots of good stuff! Last God is an interesting book. Hybrid RPG and graphic novel.
One I always think of for a hidden gem to recommend is Limbo by Dan Watters. I think you'll dig it Omar (if you haven't read it already)!
I’ve not read limbo.
Infinite Loop is a good series, haven't read it in a while but I might have to revisit it...I'd recommend Nobody Is In Control published by Black Mask for anyone who enjoys Department of Truth
Not sure if you have talked about in the past but I recently read We Live Vol 1 from Aftershock and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Oh I remember when he was on the show in 2019 and he talked about this secret project. I may have to check it out.
@@NearMintCondition I am confident your daughters will love it and you will enjoy it.
Hell yeah. Sara is awsome. I just read and reviewed it myself! Garth ennis baby!
What is the TH-cam channel that Astonishing' mentioned for the Infinite Loop artist?
The link is in the description. Omar remembered to include it! :)
I loved the first trade of Colder by Paul Tobin. I collected the other trades and I’m probably going to custom bind them.
Dug Colder too.
it's spider-mans 60th Birthday next year. I'm hoping we get Vol 6 soon. and hope we get some omni news soon. Aside from Thor things look kinda dry next year for Ol'Webhhead
Monsters by Barry WIndsor-Smith was quite good, I read it after reading the first three Hellboy Library Edition volumes and was very entertained!
Probably one of my favorite reads in 2021.
Solid video, added many to my list. #stayminty
Hey, how are you doing? I feel like I haven't talked to you in a while.
Sara and Sentient from TKO needs to be on everyone's to read list
Sentient made it to my list of best stand alone horror Graphic novels last year.
@@NearMintCondition that's an experience everyone needs to go through.. Jess (Omnidog vault) loves it too
What??? People don't like Ladyhawk?? Howcome??
Speaking of David Rubin, have you read his Beowulf from Image?
I know! I haven’t read Beowulf yet.
Stray Dogs!
Omar, can I ask where you got those shelves and what they are? I need a second bookcase.
So I have my trades on Billys and my omnis on Kallax from IKEA.

I did too. But so good.
Somebody say Garth Ennis? :)

Here is 3 titles you should read and own Omar All British titles from 2000ad/ rebellion
Marney the fox
Charley's war
The Thirteeenth floor
Looks great
Surprised you haven't reviewed BRZRKR by Keanu Reeves. Would like to know what your thoughts about the graphic novel
I didn’t know it was out yet.
Just some few numbers, it's just overgraphic violence
So sad to see Infinite Loop vol 1 is OOP
It is but still cheap enough in the third party.
@@NearMintCondition excellent. Thank you
Have you read stray dogs yet? It's new but it's awesome.
Just finished it. It will make one of my top 10 reads of 2021. For sure.
Yeah, it's one of those books that are really something and don't come along nearly often enough.
Damn tellos is out of print.
Sacre bleu !! Speak pretty .... ummm .... Melanie ;)
Yes sir!
