i did it third try with wildhunt heathcliff and prequod first mate yi sang (both level 40 uptie 3). You just need to win your clashes and play your cards right. Once wildhunt gets three moved avalible in one turn it should be ggs from there. Id reccomend getting a friend to use their wildhunt if you dont have him, and just gamble for prequod.
7:38 A huge thing I want to mention is that it's not random who you get. Right before this, she'll do one attack and two defensive skills. Whoever clashes that attack is the one spared. This way, you can set up the best unit for it

Honestly, watching this guide makes me both confused and in pain on how I got so far before, since on my first blind “let’s see if I can keep bullshitting my way through this canto and its ex conditions with underlevelled units lmao” run, I somehow got Dongbaek down to under 300 (I think it was ~232 to be exact) HP, got through the duel phase through pure bullshit since I didn’t know what that attack would do and most of my units couldn’t even successfully clash her basic attacks, and then died at the very end with her big attacks hitting back to back since my best Sinners either were dead, corrupted, or panicked. _Feels bad, man._ Hopefully, your advice will help me finally finish the job. THANK YOU, GOOD SIR got hard stuck here for almost a week with my level 25 team cuz i didn't understand the mechanics. Once i realized how important clashing was, i managed to breeze by no problem.
Steamrolled with EX no matter the level so far simply by having "The one who shall grip" Sinclair. Will try to tweak around my ragtag bunch, maybe Sinner Hong Luo will be as good at AoE as Faust with Rodion responsible for staggering Dongbaek with successive "What is cast" (exploiting both slash and pride weakness). Only trial and error will determine the remaining slots.

I got to the duel part with Yi Sang and used his Ego to win every clash, but Dongbaek pulled an aoe sloth move with 1 speed that I couldn't clash with out of nowhere and nuked my team. I don't know what I did wrong there since I won every clash...?
Ik im 2 months late and you probably know this by now but if you don’t win both clashes during the duel then she’ll use an aoe that will more than likely end your entire attempt (putting this here in case you didn’t figure it out already)

I don't have that much 3 stars sinners ;; really confused by team compositions... :( i do have shi assoc ismael, rodya, kurokumo hong lu, also the k corp honglu, g corp gregor, and spicebush but some other 3 stars ;; i still not having them--) i'm new player here, so i'm still learning a lot about this gameplay system ;; (so if i do have better team for clashing-- i just need to full uptier all of them???)
uptie'ing is crazy crazy useful here, a lot of characters arent great until you get your third skill on em what other 3* do you have? liu ishy, kuro hong lu and g corp work great for this fight spicebush i'm not too sure about due to it's reliance on pierce which is resistant but he might still work well here i'd recommend just rocking whatever team you're trying with and maxing them up - lvl 30+, uptie 3, etc good luck! ask on the discord if you need any more advice (:
Instructions clear i beat Dongbaek with Nclair Nfaust and Kurokumo clan Hong Lu and 3 other ids. Gave the extra slot to Nclair for him to be at low sanity most of the time
Been clearing with the story with 4*** and 1*** support and then I encountered this boss and I realize I can't win unless I somehow got 2*** since using base sinner suck since they can't clash for shit and they're like (level 17), guess I will be farming mirror dungeon and see how it goes once I maximize my character. Also, I really love N sinclair, carrying my ass by deleting 2-3 enemies in 1 turn. Update: I have killed the boss, instead of using base sinner to fill the capacity of 7, you can just run just 4-5 your strongest, that way your strongest will get more skill slots which is more worth it compared to just giving the slot to base sinner.

If you want to beat this boss easier you should consider leveling up your underleveled unit it will make the fight WAY WAY better
