Looks great for night photography and the view with the footbath looks amazing 😍. Definitely worth a visit in the early evening. Thank you Amy 🫶❤️ It's now on my wishlist 😊
Hi Amy - Cakes with Faces. My wife and I visited Toyosu Fish Market last week. We had dinner at a small izakaya at the far end of the "food stalls street". After eating we visited the Free Foot Bath on the 8th Floor of Toyosu Manyo Club late in the evening after dark. There were only a few others present and we had a great time looking at Tokyo Skyline from Toyosu island. The view is spectacular, and it's free of charge. Water temps were at 42C, hot but very comfortable. We will visit this place again for sure as we usually stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo Ariake on the nearby island of Ariake. Thank you for showing us this gem, and also for your book, both were very helpful in planning our trip. Greetings from Norway 🙂
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for sharing your happy memories there! I think the free footbath is the best part, and it's always good when there aren't too many other people so you can really enjoy it peacefully.
Heading back in February and I'm planning to go here in the evening for the view and footbath! I never would have known about this without your videos, so thank you 😊 Your information has been indispensable since my first trip in 2016 💖
We have gone past Shijo-mae station a few times, as we usually stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Ariake which is at Ariake Garden, very close to Tennis-no-mori station, Ariake Station (Yurikamome line) and Kokusai-Tenjijo station (Rinkai line). From Ariake Garden we have easy access to Shibuya and Shinjuku with Rinkai-line and Saikyo-line, and to Toyosu and Shimbashi with Yurikamome-line. We will for sure visit the Toyosu fish market area in May :-)
Thanks a lot Amy for another great video. I used to be a big fan of the Tsukiji outer market, but the last time I was there (March 2023), it was so crowded, that it was in parts unpleasant for me. However, Senkyaku Banrai looks so sterile and without the great atmosphere at Tsukiji, so I dont know if I would prefer it. I still have to decide if we go there next spring on our next trip to Japan.
Yes Tsukiji is extremely busy now, it's become such a popular place to go. If you're going to any other places in Japan by the sea, it's always worth checking if they have a local fish market. I've really enjoyed other markets I've visited, especially in Hokkaido.
I went there twice recently. The footbath is unreal and the best part of area. The food prices are too high just like old Tsukiji has become overpriced in the past few years.
Well done for getting tickets! I actually haven't been yet, so I might not be much help to you on this one. But there are some helpful tips towards the end of Rainbowholic's blog post: rainbowholictravels.com/blogs/japan-travel-guide/complete-ghibli-park-guide It seems you have to plan your day carefully to make sure you don't miss your timed entry, and make sure you leave enough time to travel around the park as it's quite big!
It's very different to the original Tsukiji! I'm sure you can find better food options elsewhere. But tbf, the styling doesn't feel tacky, like some of the new food courts that have opened over the last few years.
Tbf it feels more authentic than some of the new food courts in Tokyo, which are really tacky. But it's completely different to the original Tsukiji market!
Another location to put on my list. Thank you, Amy! Great video! 💜
Thanks so much!

Yes that'd be the best time for views! 😍 And to soothe your feet after a day of walking around Tokyo!
@@cakeswithfaces Thanks Amy. I could have done with that soothing footbath and view tonight 😂

You could take a free foot bath while enjoying the wonderful night view. 😚
I can only say it's the best. 👍
I really enjoyed the footbath!
I like the Edo styling, so I'd go there over Tsukiji!
I really liked the style - although it's new, it feels quite genuine!
Did not know about this place. I just went to Odaiba. Dang, next year! Thanks Amy, stay safe and healthy!
There's always somewhere like that for next time! The times I've discovered somewhere the day I got back from Japan...! 😅
Oh this looks really great! I will check it out in September!
Enjoy!! I loved the footbath!
Awesome job Amy
Thank you!! 😁
No problem

Thanks so much! The footbath is the best bit - and the view and fact it's free are a great bonus!

You'll be able to pop in to Senkyaku Banrai for a footbath at the end of a long day of sightseeing! ♨️
@@cakeswithfaces I may have to follow your advice :-)

I can't stand any seafood but I keep feeling the siren's call of the Japanese fish market.
I don't eat fish either but I've enjoyed visiting fish markets. It's interesting to look round, and they often have a few non-fish items.
When I saw the subject title, I was thinking of a foot spa thing where the fish nibble your dead skin!🤪
😂😂
I went there twice recently. The footbath is unreal and the best part of area. The food prices are too high just like old Tsukiji has become overpriced in the past few years.
The footbath's definitely the best bit! ♨️
please could I ask for your advice? with the opening of valley of the witches, how can I plan a day in ghibli park? my warehouse ticket is for 11am

And sorry I hope you didn’t get too burned when you guys put your feet’s in there 😅😅😅
It was a cold day so the water seemed hotter!
🛁🛁🛁🛁🛁🛁
The original is authentic. This seemed very manufactured. Interesting but I have seen it now.
It's very different to the original Tsukiji! I'm sure you can find better food options elsewhere. But tbf, the styling doesn't feel tacky, like some of the new food courts that have opened over the last few years.
Looks too touristy and artificial
Tbf it feels more authentic than some of the new food courts in Tokyo, which are really tacky. But it's completely different to the original Tsukiji market!
I’ll be sure to try a nice warm foot bath from Japan too something else on my list to do appreciate much for the info 🦾🦾🦾
It's perfect after a long day on your feet sightseeing!
