  • G'day folks, some visual changes take place. The Gypsy Wagon starts to take on more detail as I tackle the thousand and one little jobs, starting with the two main windows, which I'm loving. And a front door that I love even more.
Thanks for watching and as always, stay well!
    Mark.

I have to say that door is a masterpiece. The former mirror, now window frame is amazing. I love that you thrift and upcycle on this project. Really looks great.

When I saw that mirror on marketplace I knew exactly what its new use would be. 🙂

I agree with everyone else. That door is brilliant! I was wondering if you were going to cut it into a Dutch door or not - I was not disappointed. I'm looking forward to the completed wagon.

I like the latch that you put on your window, the simple screw you originally had looked like it would stave someone in the back when they sat there!

The screw was just a temporary thing to swing the window before the latch went on. But guess what?! Latch be gone! ...had to make a change.

This is an absolute work of art- what a joy to watch it slowly coming together. It's my dream to build a caravan one day, watching you do it has been very inspiring. I agree with the comment below- that door is a masterpiece.

Just when I think it might be getting less involved, it gets even more involved! 🙂

Nice wagon! What will you pull it with? What's the type/name of the bird crowing at 14 seconds?

    • @RedPathRambler

      Thank you 🙂
There may be a possibility of pulling it with a friend's horse, but I will be working on a way to shift it with a vehicle.
That is indeed a Crow crowing at the beginning. One of the many bird species hanging out here.

@@RedPathRambler The horse would be awesome, but the vehicle doesn't poop and need to be fed.
I heard a kookaburra, too. It's quite a cacophony there.

Great work. It would be interesting if you had weighed every bit of everything used in the construction to know the total built weight when finished although a public weigh bridge would save you that trouble no doubt. Keep going…getting warmer but not necessarily dryer. 👍🏻🙏🦘

Thanks Grahame. Yes it would be interesting. I've been (casually on occasion) searching weight capacities of these carts. I have found a site discussing carts with a picture of one that looks very, very similar to mine, but doesn't mention carrying capacity. At the moment the woodstove and the vanity unit with the marble top are easily the two heaviest items in there. But I think I'll be curious enough to transport it to a weigh station to find out in the future.
