Imagine rockstar would release a game named "GTA Liberty City Stories 2" which takes place in the HD era Liberty City in the 1960ies or 70ies where all those old railway are still intact and being used.
What did you say? Ruin another good game? For what? To end up being a fail like the "Definitive Editions"? No, thanks. Sometimes it's better to just leave things as they are.
Nice video, really enjoyed the work that you put in to finding, exploring and documenting these old railway tracks. I find it really awesome how these tracks seem to snake around the industrial areas, sneaking in and out of tunnels, popping out of buildings and crossing roads out of nowhere. Throw in the ripped up rails, abandoned train cars, trash and rusted out wrecks of cars and we get to see a whole different aspect of Liberty City; a dirtier and grimier version hidden away from the glitz and the glam of the gleaming skyscrapers. Keep up the awesome videos boyo!
Did you know that NY used to have elevated railroads long before the ideas of a subway system was conceived? A lot of these old tracks is also being utilized till this day. (Mainly the Manhattan system, I think?) Could it be these abandoned sections that they pay homage to? Still though, very interesting to read the reflections in some other comments suggesting these lines, both commercial and industrial, being used as shelters for homeless people.
Seeing as how it is a suppose to be a replica of New Jersey/ New York, I think that the other side of that tunnel would be in Easton Station which is Liberty city's mix of Penn Station/ Grand Central Terminal which is completely underground.
I think of the railway in gta Chinatown wars these old track are there and when gta iv come I think freight train has banned in Liberty City only subway NICE VIDEO BRO
Well... When i visited new york a while ago - it was like that in many places i've been to... Random abandoned tracks in ex industrial areas. Now it all changed.
Plz make a GTA V version, I saw some old tracks in GTA V in some videos, though no actual videos on them, but that would be awesome, I saw once tracks that wee covered by a road and stuff, PLZ do that, that again would be awesome!
At 2:01 i found that abandoned rail way when i was trying to ditch the cops, some how the cop cruisers were spawning from up the rail way and i was thinking how was that possible since the rail ways are disconnected, weird
im thinking too hard. the was old Train Track.why the train worth on Industrial park? and old bridge... 😃 And the train go to city on city and unknown tracks. and the freight train go to harbour . and that the train im not see That Head of freight Train... Ok

and is easy to find abandoned freight railway and freight train cars in GTA IV
do you think all those tracks were connected at one time

at actor industrial park i found a freight railway abandoned and train cars at GTA IV the lost and damned tlad
Hmm, I think the tracks are part of the NYC (New York Central) railroad. I think the dukes tracks lead to just after grand central. That’s my claim.
