maybe rockstar is just, burnt out on the GTA franchise, atleast for now, they do have other franchises that could do with a bit more attention, not saying the GTA franchise is bad but people and companies can get burnt out on ideas and with the push of people wanting another can be a bit scary, especially when you need to live up to the previous ones in terms of story, gameplay, etc rockstar has been a bit scummy time to time I can see that but ya know
I really liked that in gta 4 they took into consideration that guns are illegal in NYC so you have to buy from a nice man who holds onto to his 2a rights.
The Underground gun shops are amazing, not sure if it's true but I think 1 or 2 of the homeless guys outside the shop are guards keeping a lookout. Hopefully we get Underground gun shops in GTA 6, in an era guns are banned and you can purchase them illegally, do gun smuggling and stuff, taking out other competition, no matter what there will always be guns.

Not really, as Rockstar themselves said back in 2011 during the Q&A for GTA III 10 years, the original LC from GTA III was based of NY, Chicago, New Jersey and Philladelphia. While in GTA 4 it's fully based of NY and Jersey City
@@zussman_ when you stand in some streets of the red light district you can hear music of some clubs and. also some buildings in Hepburn hights when you stand near them you'll hear people talking or a house party music. You hear police sirens in the distance which gave the city a nice ambience and people lose their limbs when you throw a grenade at them. Small details compared to modern games but revolutionary compared to it's release date

God Liberty city in GTA 4 is always a breathtaking experience. So cozy yet filled with detail and life. Especially as a New Yorker it’s amazing to see.
I've been doing a playthrough of GTA IV for the past 2 months. Before starting a mission I walk/drive between weapon & armor pick up locations (cheaper & more convenient than buying them). That time between walking or driving, you really get to enjoy the ambiance, plus the npc dialogue is hilarious LOL
Better at what? Everything is so much more recognizable in 3. In GTA 4, every spot looks like it could just be anywhere random. It's so unrecognizable and generic looking.

In my personal opinion, the 3d era and HD era are IN THE SAME universe. It never made sense to me that they are separated from each other. When I play Nico in GTA 4, I have and want to have the feeling that I was here with Claude, Carl and Toni earlier before.

These 2 games are only 7 years apart. GTA 5 came out 5 years after GTA 4. Now its almost 12 years later and we still have nothing. GTA 4 came out 16 years ago. So given the massive improvements we saw between GTA 3 and 4 what can we expect after 16 years between 4 and 6? Maybe just maybe working windshield wipers? Yeah that's if we're lucky.

I'm hoping one day they connect the two Liberty Cities. The Francis International Airport could be a good connecting point. It was on the left side of GTA 3's map, but on the right side of GTA 4's map.

The GTA 3 liberty city doesn't really look like New York it seems its own original city vaguely based on New York. Gta 4 liberty City is a faithful portrayal of the real New York instead.

GTA IV is one of my favorites, I wished they remastered that too! It was a fun game, and had more in depth of Liberty City too!

At this point I'm convinced that Grand Theft Auto 3 Liberty City is it's just a mere prototype of Grand Theft Auto IV Liberty City, because when you do a side-by-side comparison of both games you going to find something out of place.
They take place in different time periods. 4 was more modern.

As a Native New Yorker, I can wholeheartedly say that both cities were done so well.
In my personal opinion, the 3d era and HD era are IN THE SAME universe. It never made sense to me that they are separated from each other. When I play Nico in GTA 4, I have and want to have the feeling that I was here with Claude, Carl and Toni earlier before.

I think 3D characters do exist in the HD universe, but the hd universe ones are different from 3d’s.

These 2 games are only 7 years apart. GTA 5 came out 5 years after GTA 4. Now its almost 12 years later and we still have nothing. GTA 4 came out 16 years ago. So given the massive improvements we saw between GTA 3 and 4 what can we expect after 16 years between 4 and 6? Maybe just maybe working windshield wipers? Yeah that's if we're lucky.

Awesome video but I have to disagree with the mafia house on 3:25 because the mansion that has a hidden sultan rs on north of the map looks a lot more like the place, the entrance of the mansion is straight away a huge reminder of the ps2 version

Really makes GTA IV look large when in reality its only less than half the size of GTA 5’s map
The map is still smaller to San Andreas.
I honestly prefer how GTA III is designed in most of this video. There are certain things that I think IV did better, but overall, I like III best.

The GTA 3 liberty city doesn't really look like New York it seems its own original city vaguely based on New York. Gta 4 liberty City is a faithful portrayal of the real New York instead.
GTA 3 liberty city is based off of New York, philidelphia, and Chicago. GTA 4 is based just on NYC and Jersey City

@@jacoba636 Ahh I see. Well GTA IV has the best story and protagonist in my opinion. You should try it out one day. I first played the game on a potato PC with the lowest setting possible and it still ran at 10-15 FPS. Didn’t keep me from replaying it 7 times lol
