The Crush Gun (C) I think is the strongest weapon because of the fact that the explosion counts as damage. Great against enemies that stay still imo. I agree that the Spreader (S) is way overused, I typically only use it either if I absolutely can't hit anything or if there's a swarm.

Ok I've beat this game 3 times on hard mode each time barely. Now I have to ask does this version of the contra have more damage output with the cobra missiles. By all means tell me I suck, but I've never destroyed the skeleton boss before he shot off his fire with cobra missiles. I'm amazed at what I'm seeing...
@cycobear86 I meant the 2d games in particular. He is a God at megaman so why give focus to the series "repeatedly" ? He needs to get his hands on strider,metal slug ,shinobi ,metroid and such from now on Who knows ,the guy probably plays pubg and dark souls simultaneously in his room but that doesn't mean he has give too much attention to megaman I love megaman more than anything but there comes a time when you gotta move on and bring freshness

is an exploit, you equip the two C weapons and switch pressing between both weapon button to skip the frame and shoot faster.
This guy does it without the exploit th-cam.com/video/UIO5rM3DaFQ/w-d-xo.html having to do Boss mechanics.
