Exactly the same with Double Dragon. it pisses me off that in every history of Contra video AMERICANS completely miss out the Arcade that is the real Contra not the shitty NES one. America is so brainwashed by the NES compared to Europe

wow.... the arcade port looks much better visually than the NES counterpart. also run the speed at 1.25 as the sound is kinda slow on the video.

Look how many lives you get for killing the heart
Not like you need them or anything, but it's well worth the challenge
I'm pretty sure this game doesn't have a loop option, so those lives are unnecessary

I think I avoided weapon items at the beginning to get the barrier power-up on the waterfall stage. It only appears if you have the normal gun.
