Happy NewYears guys stay safe your driving skills are excellent that night driving in the city can be a challenge and exciteing I did it in Chicago back in the nineties
When the actual video first starts showing that lowboy making the turn, I call that a back n jack maneuver! I never knew the proper term for it, so I made my own term! Not to mention that I use that maneuver quite often living here in Washington.D.C. where our streets are just as tight as NYC, especially when I was doing lowboy for a local construction company. We had to take those milling machines, etc., into the neighborhoods. Our streets were not made for trucks, period. So, you'll have to do a back n jack pretty much all the time! It can be pretty darn challenging with a 389 pulling a lowboy, with 7 axles all together, but I always got it done. That's what makes it all the fun. That's why I'd choose a long-hood every single time, regardless of how tight the turns are. Nobody wants a truck to maneuver like a four-wheeler, even in the city. It takes all the fun out of trucking! Then, it always helps to be able to see that long ass hood our front, vs. not being able to see it at all in an aero-truck! As far as NYC, I love driving a truck up there. That place will definitely put your skills to work. For the newbies, that place will definitely make a real trucker out ya!
