They are both great looking. I love how you include errors you encounter….and we all experience those. So your ‘fixin’ them is invaluable!
My tree trunk on my tree kept floating. I tried a few things and slowed it down..lol. But sometimes there are ‘happy accidents’ and I like the way it turned out.
Thank you! Yes we learn from our mistakes and from others. Can't wait to see your project.
They are both so beautiful!!! Thank you for all of the resin tips!!!
Oh wow that video is a few years old. I have since learned that the reason there were all those spots( fish eyes) is because I did not use a coating/ doming resin. The resin I used is a casting resin or a thinner resin that works best in molds.
@@crazyglasslady Interesting. There is always so much to know! Thanks again for sharing!!!
Absolutely Love Them, Especially the Blue one! ❤❤😄
Thank you!😊
Oh my goodness. I can’t thank you enough. I’ve just done my very first resin picture on canvas. It is really pretty, but, I could of cried when I came home from work and saw that just like yours the canvas around the edges are all patchy. I’m now more hopeful I can at least try to fix it because of your brilliant video.Fingers crossed. I love your finished Xmas trees. Thanks again and love from England. 🙏🤗
What kind of resin did you use? Because since I’ve made that video I have made some more videos showing that it might’ve had to do with the resin more than anything else.th-cam.com/video/CX-2ChcJke8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PL4l2IsO3RiLUtOr

WOW! Love these projects! I appreciate your honesty about the resin issues you experienced! Thank you.
Thank you! So since then I have been using art resin and I really have not had that problem again.
Very pretty thanks 😊
Thank you!😊
Gorgeous 🎄🌲
Thank you! 😊
Those are both so cute!! This video is just what I was looking for. I have been looking for something to see how pouring resin over crushed glass that's already applied to canvas would turn out and this is the first one I could find. So glad I came across it because it not only answered my questions but inspired me for some XMas projects too! 😊
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing Ive seen these similar on Pinterest and wondered how they do that🤔 finally! Found someone that shared how to❤️. I have a question since I’m new at this, The tree topper did you just place in the resin or did you pour resin over it? And I’m guessing everything stays in place because the resin acts like glue? Thanks in advance
Thanks so much! 😊 yes I just stuck the topper in the resin it dries rock solid. I am happy to answer any questions you might have.
These are beautiful!!! You make it look so easy!
Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Thank you, and you are welcome!
Very pretty
Thank you! 😊
I really enjoyed your videos such pretty work, thank you for the idea of using the mod podge I'm sure gonna try it, thanks for sharing
Thank you, and you are welcome!
Yes, I get that same splotchy look with my resin. So annoying. I will try and use your method to fix my picture. Thanks for sharing.
Good luck! Now that I have been working with resin for awhile I have not had the same problem. I am wondering if it had some kind of reaction to the spray paint I mixed with the paint. Or if it was the resin. I think they have doming and casting epoxy resin. I have been working with the brand Art resin now alot and I have not had that problem.
Loved this video! New subscriber now!
Yay! Thank you!
I have an update to this video th-cam.com/video/CX-2ChcJke8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JCPJlMO6NuMnhGXr

THANK YOU. I'm still learning.
Beautiful 💖💖💖
Thank you! 🤗
Very pretty, you've been inspiring me. I just made my first Green tree on a frame. And I decided to try it with modge podge. It turned out well, and I decided to add another layer of Glass on top so I'm redoing that that's drying now. Thanks again.... Just wondering what do you do with your creations after you make them? Imagine you run out of room in your home to show them.
Thank you,I would love to see what you created. Well I’m going to give most of them away I volunteer at a food pantry and I will bring some up to the volunteers and the big snowman my daughter already claimed and then I have some cousins not too far away I’m going to give a couple of the Christmas trees to yes I am getting quite a collection
Love this video! Very informative! I think I'm gonna give this a go!
Thank you! Love to here about it . Happy to hear I'm not the only one thinking about Christmas already!
Thank you for sharing your talent!! Very appreciated!! When you reapplied resin to fix up the issues did you sand the previous resin first? I have been told by a resin company to do that but I didn't notice that you did. I would rather not if I dont have to LOL.
No I did not. I did not know anything about sanding at that time. They say that you are suppose to sand so that the new resin has something to hold onto. So I did a big red heart a few moths later thats when I learned all about sanding. It turned out a mess and I sanded and reapplied the resined and it turned out beautiful.I tried multiple grit sand papers the learned 80 grit was the best to use. It's one of my videos. I am learning as I go. LOL
Wow! Very pretty!! It looks like the issue with the resin might have been some oil on the canvas. Could be from the spray paint (I’m not sure what’s in it) or it could even be oil from your hands. Regardless, you fixed it and it turned out great.
Could you share why you wished you’d taken the tape off earlier? I was wondering if the edges floated out nicer if you took the tape off early? I’d be afraid it would run off uneven and make a mess. I love your videos and SO appreciate your advice❤️
So that video was from last year and I have learned so much more since then. I think the reason the resin didnt stick in areas had more to do with the resin then anything and I repoured with the tape around it so that it would create a resivour so that the resin had no choice but to stay there. I think it had thickened up to much had went down the sides uneven. That was why i said I would take it off earlier. I now use art resin and I have not had any problems with it sticking so I no longer use tape except when I remember I put it on the back to prevent the resin drips from creating drips on the back.
I hope that helps
Yes, that does help! Thank you for your help!!😊
Great!
Hi, I used epoxy Craft Resin. I’ve just tried taping around the edges like you, but I’ve just done a stupid thing. I used my utensil to stir it an d lots of old bits came off on to my picture. Aaaaarrrrrh. I’ve tried to pick them out and I’ve added more sparkles to try to disguise the mess. OMG, is this a learning curve or what. I think I’ve spoilt it because of my impatience to get it finished. Thank you for responding. X
So I did this video a couple years ago and I recently discovered that the reason this had all the blank spots or fish eyes had more to do with the resin . If you but the coating or doming resins like Art resin or Ks resin you will not need to tape I will link the video showing you that . Yes those stir sticks can be a pain if you do not clean then sometimes you can sprinkle glitter or tiny crushed glass to hide it . if everything is on the surface you could sand and re-pourth-cam.com/video/CX-2ChcJke8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4rCqQHkHG7NaCcJ3
I love the look of the thicker resin, it just gives it more depth on video. I just found your channel and subscribed and now I’m watching all of your videos. Have you tried Plaid brand Gallery Glass? I’ve bought it at Hobby Lobby in the past but not sure if they still make it.
I’ve heard of gallery glass but for some reason I thought it was in smaller quantities and they used it for jewelry yes I have a hard time with resin on canvas I’m used to doing it with resin and glass with the frame around it
Beautiful!♥️
Thank you!
The tiny Christmas decorations.. I am trying to find on Amazon but can’t find. Not sure what search words to use. Any idea?
Which ones? I don't think I used any in this video? Hobby Lobby , and walmart have small decorations for the miniature trees.
Where do you find your crushed glass at a decent price ?
Michael's craft store they always have the reflective silver which you can color any color with the 2 different translucent spray paints or with alcohol ink. I do not recommend alcohol ink for regular glass but for the crushed glass it seem to hold up fine. then at different times of the year they have different colors and they are only out for a short time and quickly go to 70% off. But you can always find a coupon on line for 20% 0ff. Hope that helps
Do you have a Etsy store?
No, I don’t sell anything
