Most messages in marriages is only on submission of women. And it is misused by supression, discrimination and exploitation. Bible says husband is to be like Christ, even to give away his very life even to her.

There is no harm by saying Manthrakodi,
Because it simply means ‘blessed new clothe’
Manthra means blessed
Kodi means new
Priest or pujari blessing the cloth before it give to the bride groom
We find mending through the contextual interpretation
It’s my personal opinion
