Italiansupercarvideo, 19Bozzy92 and I filmed this Alfa Romeo Turbo Evoluzione IMSA at the Historic Minardi Day 2019 at the Imola Racetrack, a great event dedicated to modern & past motorsport to celebrate the Minardi F1 team.
In the video you can see the Alfa Romeo 75 racecar in action on the circuit: flatout acceleration, downshift, fast fly bys on the straight, little sideways and curves. You can see the on board laps and listen to the sound of the engine driven full throttle on the track.
To take part in the 1988 Giro d’Italia, the Alfa Racing Department brought the Group A 75 into line with the International Motor Sport Association rules. This produced the most powerful 75: the Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione IMSA. The 4-cylinder engine, 1.762 cm3, develops about 400 hp, for a car weight of only 960 kg.
The Giro d’Italia automobilistico was an event that combined the appeal of the racetrack with that of rallying, because it featured races on the top Italian circuits (Monza, Misano, Varano and Vallelunga) interspersed with special and transfer stages on the roads used by the biggest national and international rallies. To meet these characteristics, teams consisted of a circuit racing champion and a rally crew of driver and navigator. The Alfa Racing Department entered three cars in the 1988edition, and they crossed the finishing line in the order Patrese/Biasion/Siviero, Larini/Cerrato/Cerri and Nannini/Loubet/Andrié. The following year Alfa again monopolised the race with an all-Italian top three: victory went to Francia/Cerrato/Cerri, ahead of Larini/Biasion/Siviero and D’Amore/Noberasco/Cianci, the third-placed team driving a Group A 75 Turbo Evoluzione, followed home by the third 75 IMSA of Guerrero/Loubet/Andrié.

Io, ItaliansupercarVideo e 19Bozzy92 abbiamo filmato questa Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione IMSA al Historic Minardi Day 2019, all'Autodromo di Imola, evento dedicato al motorsport storico e moderno per celebrare il F1 Minardi Team.
Nel video potete vedere l'auto da corsa in azione sul circuito: accelerazioni, scalate, passaggi in velocità e curve. Potete vedere i giri con camera car e ascoltare il sound del motore turbo guidato a tutto gas sul circuito.
Per partecipare al Giro d’Italia del 1988 l’Alfa Corse adegua la 75 Gruppo A al regolamento "International Motor Sport Association". Nasce così la 75 più potente: l’Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione IMSA. Il motore 4 cilindri 1.762 cm3 arriva a sviluppare fino a 400 cv, per un peso dell'auto di soli 960 kg.
Il Giro d’Italia automobilistico è una competizione che fonde il fascino della pista a quello dei rally perché unisce gare nei migliori circuiti italiani (Monza, Misano, Varano e Vallelunga) a prove speciali e trasferimenti sulle strade dei più importanti rally nazionali e internazionali. Non a caso gli equipaggi sono composti da un campione della pista e un equipaggio, pilota e navigatore, da rally. All’edizione del 1988 l’Alfa Corse iscrive tre vetture che giungono in quest’ordine al traguardo: Patrese/Biasion/Siviero, Larini/Cerrato/Cerri e Nannini/Loubet/Andrié. L’anno seguente è ancora l’Alfa a monopolizzare la gara con un podio tutto tricolore: vincono Francia/Cerrato/Cerri, davanti a Larini/Biasion/Siviero e D’Amore/Noberasco/Cianci, questi ultimi a bordo di una 75 Turbo Evoluzione Gruppo A che precedono la terza 75 IMSA di Guerrero/Loubet/Andrié.

fa sempre impressione constatare che anche nell'ultima evoluzione della 75 Turbo Imsa, il motore, storico, gloriosissimo, che viene dalla Giulia 105 del 1964, che ha corso e vinto centinaia di gare su strada, in pista e sull'acqua, conservi ancora l'aspetto originale di 50 anni fa. Interessante la struttura di rinforzo della parte anteriore della 75 che, in varie interviste, veniva segnalata dai piloti per la sua tendenza a flettere
