I really wished this game got more attention than what it did, I hope it got enough to warrant a sequel. I absolutely adore this reboot, love the way the cars handle, they’ve managed to create an amazing foundation to build upon and improve for a sequel so fingers crossed! Considering this was your first video mate you did an awesome job I’ve subscribed and look forward to watching more of your content in the future. Happy I’ve found someone that likes this game just as much as me!

i bought this game yesterday because of those fond memories from the original Race Driver Grid... i was so disappointed that the career progression that was in the 2008 one isn't in the new one - and multiplayer is just an empty lobby :( nice video though - especially since it's your first. its also the most in-depth one i found on this game so thank you!
Hmmmmm, I’ve not touched any settings, on PS4 apart from turning off the rewind feature and sometimes I put game on hard mode. I may check out the dead zone settings that you did. I don’t really mind the Nemesis system and yes, they will try to take you out of the race. I don’t mind it, really. I find it funny that when my team mate crashes into me, he automatically becomes my enemy. Even though it was his mistake.
I know right, the nemesis system actually kinda makes every race feels a bit more different and dynamic, though I kinda realized. The AI that become your nemesis basically turn on Rubberbanding mode 😅
@@jagadhie I’ve kinda changed my opinion of Grid, somewhat. I still think the actual racing is really fun but the game is so shallow. Even with the added seasons. It’s just more of the same and nothing new. I had fun going through the career mode but after finishing and then playing some more, I realised just how little tracks there is to race and not enough variety. I find myself hovering over every event and I’m just like, Na. They really missed a trick . I’ve just bought a Logitech wheel and I’m planning on finishing the seasons 1-3 but I’m deff gonna be playing games like Dirt, over grid. When I set up wheel, peddles and rig. I think my wheel might work with ps3, if so, I’m gonna go back to original Grid, as I remember enjoying that a lot more .
@@grahamkelly8662 and unfortunately friend, they won't have anymore seasons. which, to be quite honest with you, I don't think it would help the game that much at this point, the whole game is simply pure racing over and over again. and yes I agree on your point that it is very shallow. I personally like a racing games where you start with a very slow car or no reputation at all, that way you can feel and see your progression by the time you finish the game

My main issue with this game is something I call ubisoft syndrome. Unloading on player multiple activities from the get go with no glue that keeps it all together and makes player to want to go through those activities. Racing is fun, if there was some driver storyline, some progression from one car category to the next, it would be amazing. However having this grid uncovered at the start with no story makes it (in my opinion) repetitive and boring after a while. Its just another race to uncover next race to race to unblock next race. Same voice over from the race commentary at the beginning of each race is lazy as fuck. If it was up to me I'd murder Kristen wfho knows all things motorsports.
The rebind on pc is stupid btw; you literally have to press rebind; unbind, and then rebind again to the button you want. The default buttons are like wtf?!, normally it would be up for acceleration or W; but noooo they bind it to A. That make me like confused to the point I had to rebind every single button. Still; I like this more than NFS Heat, way more. Still can't beat project cars 2 though.
I kinda think he did good, but maybe the hype wasn't there. I mean his sections were like top streamers, but the voice was monotonic. I for one is like that; I record, and then playback and find myself deleting it just because I felt it was boring and nobody would be interested.

Grid is designed for 360 degree steering and strong ffb with a wheel. That's where it shines as the ultimate arcade track racing experience.
