They should've made the peel off wax "cover" all the way to the top so that the user could peel off as much as they need/use it comfortably and so the product doesn't get wasted in the packaging.
I thought the same! I love that primer and how it melts in your fingers. So weird how it’s all melted in the jar. I think it was sitting outside too long and didn’t let it sit in a cool place.
Beckie Jane Brown well I worked in Lush as well and took my magical moringa to Beijing when I went to work there and it all melted in the heat, plus all the corn starch was in the bottom and all the oils rose to the top so it was almost impossible to mix again and now the last bit I have in the pot is pretty much only hardened starch
I love some of their products so much (twilight spray, big shampoo, respect your elders soap bar, their lip scrubs, whipstick, etc) so I don’t think it’s overrated, but they sure are VERY overpriced!
@@Brynwyn123 Ok, so there must be a misunderstanding. I'm not saying that plastics in the environment are a good thing. I hate it when people litter. What I'm trying to get at is that if your efforts on zero waste makes for an inferior product that falls apart if you hold it too long then it's not worth it. A better alternative would have been to put the foundation in one of there cardboard tubs. Those are recyclable. Or a biodegradable plastic case. Please note that Tina's review is the only one I saw of this product. It's not for me and my oily skin so I'm not going to look further into this product. Maybe it's a great product but Tina got a bad batch. Maybe it's a great product and the whole falling apart is just Tina.
I'm sorry i know im not the only one but this product seems really unsanitary and gross. It's in really horrid condition and it's not long lasting product it's not temperature friendly this would melt in a makeup bag and I see a big mess happening, this would get really messy and dirty overtime use. What were they thinking???? I love watching your videos❤❤❤
EXACTLY OMG, i was just thinking that they should've put a little bit more effort in the packaging, the way it comes in the box looks soooo unsanitary and although the peelable wax thing (or whatever it's called) seems like a genius idea, it would be much better if it had an actual packaging that would protect it from getting dirty and messy
cutelonelygayasian No I completely agree! It doesn’t come with a lid and your fingers (which have a lot more bacteria on it than you think) have to touch the product to peel the wax off. And it doesn’t even come with a lid? You know how much bacteria will get into the product?! Foundation from the dollar store would probably be more sanitary.
This was a trial run for this product. I'm sure they are listening to feedback about the packaging and everything else. There is an optional tin you can buy separately. I think the main problem is the shape and how it is awkward to hold. The package is easily dealt with, as is the shape. People are so quick to call this product unsanitary but that's not really the issue. We all have unsanitary things all over our homes, including in our makeup kits.
as far as making it more sanitary; maybe if they dipped more of the product in wax so that more of the product was covered in wax. That way it'd be less messy and you could just peel the wax off as you needed more and it'd keep the product cleaner and fresher.
@@darril6486 i love lush, but the packaging is just ot professional at all. they could've put a capt or something rather than let it like that, the product smearing everywhere.
Yes, the packaging could be better, but this is great for people who are environmentally friendly and want to use less wasteful products. A solution to the container would be to maybe buy a small stainless steel container (there are travel sized ones out there) and transfer the entire foundation into such a container. You'll get rid of the wax that way, and then you can ensure that the product is sealed when not in use.
Natalia Maliga your going to have to purchase more face clearing products once it breaks out your skin ? It was a nice thought tho from lush i wish more brands were like that.
No, even for zero waste people foundation sticks in a recycled cardboard tube are more practical and hygienic. Lush just fails at ZW packaging and designing which things can be packaging free
I love the idea of the metal container. It would be awesome if they shipped the foundation in it then you could return it to them for a discount, like with their black plastic (?) tubs for bath products
Eco friendly and zero waste products are good, but Lush’s makeup is soooo poorly made. I used to use their tints for a week until it broke me out everywhere. Coconut oil is sooo bad for acne prone and oily skin. They don’t really know what they’re doing when it comes to makeup, they should either just stick to bath products or get a cosmetic chemist who knows what the heck they’re doing
@Alana Maloney, uh what? She meant there's so many foundations to choose from that this one from Lush just isn't worth the money. It may be environmentally friendly, but it's not sanitary nor practical. As for the last part of your comment, yea that's not really accurate. I take care of my skin, as many people do as well, and a lot of the time I don't wear foundation, but when I'm going out somewhere and want to get dressed up I'll throw some on. I'm not hiding my face lol, I just like to do a full face of makeup sometimes. That doesn't equate to not taking care of your skin though. 🤦👍🤣
This foundation looks so messy and unsanitary. After swiping it over your face over and over again, imagine all of the germs and bacteria that would be on it. Plus, there's no way to clean it. If you leave it in a hot and steamy bathroom, it would also melt all over, lol. There are so many cons to this product, it's a hard pass for me.
Allister Waurick you just spray alcohol on it. Most profesional makeup artists spray their cosmetics in order to rid it of bacteria before using is on their clients. It does not damage or “remove large part of the foundation” as you said.
They did p much everything wrong smfh 1. That no-waste goal can be solved with refillable containers like they do their face masks. Customers keep a nice, strong plastic container they can get sanitized and refilled at the store. This would reduce waste, ensure repeat customers, and potential discounts for recycling containers at Lush stores incentivize consumers to keep up the no waste trend 2. Coconut oil will turn off every MUA in the industry. If you can't talk to actual chemists and estheticians, at least glance at r/skincareaddiction to wake up to the ingredients consumers want to see 3. Not only is this product perceived as unhygienic for MUAs, but the 40 color shade range means very little if this entire collection excludes anyone with oily/combination/sensitive skin AND can't meet the typical Lush price point. I'm glad Lush is trying and it looks like they've pulled the product to retool it, but it's just embarrassing to see how out of touch they are when THAT was their aim and THIS was their product.
Everything aside..I respect lush cosmetics for being so environment friendly and sustainable...they are really trying their best. I hope more brands get inspired from this❤️🙏
Honestly if any other company sent out a product that was literally unshippable and arrived in such a bad state people would tear into it, but people are kind of up Lush's arse. The eco-friendly angle is commendable but it sometimes comes off as a gimmick when they're charging an arm and a leg for a completely impractical product. They should probably work a bit more on refining their alternative packaging rather than just getting rid of it all.
I was skeptical when you said you reached out to Lush.. but later on the review I can see how honest you were about your experience. It’s refreshing to find a youtuber giving their real opinion. I subscribed!
Just a tip from someone with overly sensitive skin, if you feel any itchiness or an immediate reaction DO NOT use a makeup wipe to remove it as they contain high amounts of alcohol as a preservative and therefore will further iritate your skin! I know it's a pain, but you're better off going in with your usual cleanser to clean your face and start again. Thanks for the interesting video! You and Beauty News have really confirmed that this is just not a practical product :)
LUSH's packaging is notoriously terrible. Everything I own from them that isn't packaged in a bottle winds up a mess. They need to figure out a functional way to be "zero-waste"
Ke La agreed, my shower turns into a lush pan with product all over the place, I don’t use the tins because I don’t any the product to stay wet and grow mold (which has happened before) so I mainly stick to their bottled products.
Aadin Heals, they actually suggest that you let anything that doesnt have packaging to sit out and dry before your next use with it...so it doesnt grow mold. if you buy those products at least expect to take care of them
is the actual no-waste product not functional or is your lifestyle built around unsustainable habits? So many people cry hygiene, but as someone who works in research and microbiology, something like your lip balm comes into contact with your bacteria filled mouth and you're ok with that. every time you go swim in a lake or the sea? this formulation has negligible water content and microbes are not that easy to grow on fat and waxes. sure, things like makeup brushes actually do need cleaning due to dead skin cells and dust, but there are a lot of things we do built around unnecessary ideas of "cleanliness" that can be cut down for sustainability.
I mean it’s also not hygienic or practical because if you drop it once you’re fucked. Zero waste is great, but this product wasn’t. The design needs to be revised.
The problem is that if you drop it/when you need to put it down it’ll pick up the crap from the other surface and stick to the coconut oil and go into your skin again The only thing that would fix it is potato peeling the crap out of it each use 😂
This would not last even a car ride. It has wax and foundation and if left in your bag would make a mess and melt together and all over your belongings. I think they need to go back to the drawing board with this. It seems like a great Idea in theory to help the environment and help create less waste however it wasn't very practical given the products shape and lack of resistance to different climate's.
It would be so much better if they just put it in maybe a reusable metal or tin box without the wax (kinda like an altoids container). It might be more expensive but certainly more sanitary. And it would still cater to those who are living a zero waste lifestyle. The way it is right now is definitely unsanitary and you would never be able to bring it anywhere. And if you live in a hotter climate it won't work in general
Tina, something you should take into account is the philosophy behind Lush products. They're cruelty free and plant based, which is a much better alternative to many other products which are tested on animals and with various degrees of unfriendly chemicals. In terms of packaging, better cardboard than plastic. Easily fixed with a Lush tin. For very hot countries, keep it in the fridge, like face masks. And speaking of bacteria, people should see their own 'clean' make up under a microscope and they'll be shocked. But hey, horses for courses!
Juan Trump lush doesn’t clams to be all natural. It’s a fresh, organic, and handmade brand that’s cruelty free. It’s leaning toward natural preservatives, but some products contain low amounts of synthetic preservatives. However, there’s usually a natural alternative for those who choose to avoid synthetics. As for being vegan, also not true. It’s a 100% vegetarian company and about 85% of the product range is vegan, but lush uses honey, lanolin, and eggs in some products.
Everyone complaining about the sanitary side of things.....all while using stick foundation which is the exact same concept 🙄 With that said, I wouldn’t expect much different from Lush as this concept falls in line with all their other products. In all honesty, your skin looked absolutely beautiful and radiant once you completed all products. I was extremely surprised, in fact. Love the concept and hope Lush can iron out the kinks as I truly believe a more naturally-made foundation would be well received. Possibly even the next “big thing”.
Amber Rangel it’s gross because there’s no cap, and if u accidentally leave it out in warm temperature the wax could melt. overall, the idea is good but executed very poorly
Annie H. It doesn’t need a cap, it came in a container or you could put it in your own container......I would definitely prefer that it did have some sort of cap though. That would make it far easier to travel with. Regardless, the bacteria on your makeup brushes (and your toothbrush 😉) are far worse than this product, lol! I think the product itself looks beautiful on her but I do agree that the execution needs some work.
Amber Rangel definitely! i personally just think the packaging was lacking in sanitation and functionality. i think there are better ways then wax for the handle, maybe it could have been like a cardboard or something. i also agree with you on how it looked on her, the formula itself seems very promising
Annie H. I agree.....I’m surprised they pkgd it the way they did 🤔 I get the recycling and all that but surely they realized what kind of damage would transpire from shipping it that way.....or maybe they didn’t? I mean, common sense would tell you it’s going to bounce around in that little box and make a big ol’ mess!
Morninga is a plant high in antioxidants and vitamins in parts of Asia and Africa we eat the leaves and drum stick in soups and can be made into powder for smoothies and since it is high in calcium it is given to people with low calcium levels. The oil is also good for the skin 👍🏼😊
Even though Lush claim to be full of natural ingredients they aren't suitable for sensitive skin, most of the foaming products contain SLS and the natural fragrance oils can be very irritating. I really struggled to find products that would be suitable for my own sensitive skin needs, and the ones I did try were nice compared to the rest of the range, but very seasonal and unavailable at any other time. I can't even enter the physical stores due to the suffocating mashup of scents and had to order online. They have some very cute and fun products, and I love their take on skincare, but their makeup leaves a lot to be desired and it's important to not conflate "natural" with "gentle". It's worth doing your research and checking whether some ingredients are comedogenic or more likely to cause a reaction; just because it's "chemical free" doesn't make it suitable for people with sensitive skin or allergies, so read the ingredients lists carefully before purchasing.
the most annoying thing with “chemical free” anything, for me, is that everything contains chemicals... everything is made of chemicals. if it was “chemical free” it wouldnt even exist.
OMG YES! I hate that "chemical free" tagline, green-washing can be really dangerous because it's inaccurate. Everything is chemicals, there's no such thing as "chemical free" and many "natural" substances are actually very dangerous such as cyanide and mercury.
Australian brand Sukin is a lifesaver. Incredibly gentle, no nasties what so ever in the ingredients and cruelty free. I recommend it to anyone with very sensitive skin.
Why didnt they make a lid for it? and how could they just send it without any plastic protector? looks unsanitary.. But Tina you look beautiful as always
Mimi M-va Yeah, I like lush very much, and I think that the concept of the product and the idea behind the packaging is good. But yeah, it’s not really hygienique :/

And it doesn’t even come with a lid? You know how much bacteria will get into the product?! Foundation from the dollar store would probably be more sanitary.
Audrey Hoang I know it’s gross. I understand that lush want to be all natural and no waste (which I have no problem with) but sometimes it’s just a bit much and it’s just down right vile. I would have sent it back and like you said, bought a drugstore foundation as that’s better value and at least hygienic!!
Did u ever think u could share somebody’s liquid foundation but u shouldn’t use this product if it belongs to someone else cus u could break out bad all those germs and bacteria
Hey Tina! I'm no sure if anyone has commented this as yet but I am from Trinidad (Caribbean) and it's actually Moringa pronounced Mor-ring-ga, it's a plant that is considered a super herb that had numerous health benefits ,we use it as tea and it helps with tens of health problems, so if they're using pure Moringa leaves then I assume it's gonna be really good for your skin! Just thought id share! Greats videos! 🇹🇹❤️
Wow, a lot of hateful comments about lush, I really like lush products, I use their shower gels and jellies, body scrubs, massage oils, body butters, all that jazz, and I really like them My favourite is the Scrubee body butter, it smells amazing and leaves my skin so soft especially when it’s colder weather
Lush is something you absolutely love, or really don't like. I think it's more important for them to be environmentally friendly rather than environmentally damaging like other beauty companies do. So instead of the over use of unrecyclable plastics, with other things like papers, glass, etc to make their packaging alluring, they would rather forego the bells and whitstles. I, personally, appreciate their minimalistic, recyclable, reused packaging. And they only use natural, vegan, cruelty free ingredients. Usually it is all handmade, as well. So, again, it's what is more important to you. A formula that has questionable ingredients, or one that has ingredients you could easily purchase without being a chemist. I feel, at this time, you have to choose what is more important to you, plus realize there will be sacrifices on either side. Your skin did look amazing before your skin reaction. But I really appreciate how fair you were to Lush even though it wasn't for you or your skin. That's why I keep returning to your channel and have for the last 2 years!
kerri some honey is vegan, it depends on whether it was harvested or collected. Although since they are such a big company, they might not have the time to collect honey so...
I think the packaging would be better and more travel friendly in one of those EOS lip balm containers. Also, I was wondering if you could do a video on an affordable high school makeup routine. It would be helpful. Thanks everyone for looking at my comment! ♡♡
They're trying to reduce waste which includes plastic. Their black pots are recycled when returned by caring customers who also want to make a difference. If they make smaller packaging like eos, more than likely they won't be recycled. I say they make glass pots like the ones for their lip scrubs.
This company has such a great ethical standpoint in their mission and policy towards the environment, people and animals. You should use more of their products!
You should definitely try and use more Lush products. Their ethical values are amazing, their products are very natural and hand made, which is amazing, and they're very good. It's my favourite brand ever
Moringa is a very healthy leaf vegetable from the Philippines. It's very useful in many ways and keeps the skin healthy and promotes healing. Ideally if you're trying to cover up blemishes or scars, the moringa oleifera helps also to heal it. 🤗😊
Moringa is widely known here in the Philippines as "Malunggay Leaves" . Its smells really funny but has many nutritional value to it, breastfeeding moms makes soup with it to produce more milk. We drink it in tea too. It's super nutritious, we used and eat it everyday.
I've tried various different foundations from Lush. I so want to love their makeup, and support their make up like. But literally every time I have used their foundation it's like a freaking oil spill on my face. It doesn't matter what I use to blend the make up, it always ends up a streaky mess. But I think a lot of people have said the same. ☹️
A environmentally conscious company is absolutely something I can stand by. I love the direction they're trying to go with their products, I hope they see this video and take some suggestions from the comments in order to improve their products.
Moringa is a green leaf vegetable that is very nutritious. We eat it in the Philippines. Eating the leaf also helps produce more milk for lactating mothers...
I have to get this even though I hate every aspect of this foundation. Packaging is horrible, not very practical to use and probably contains tons of fragrances but 45% oil? Yes please! I know coconut oil is more on the comedogenic side but my skin is sooo extremely dry I feel like no amount of oil can clog my pores. I’ve used products with coconut oil/ coconut alkanes in the past but never experienced clogged pores before. Anyway, I’m glad to see a foundation full of oil because everything nowadays is oil-free this oil-free that. Hopefully this works out for me so I don’t have slather 5 thousand bottles of facial oil on my face every morning before putting on foundation. It really sucks to have dry skin.
Moringa! 😂 it's an herb, we use for tea in the Caribbean, my whole family uses it. Sometimes we mix it and crush it up with different oils and a little clay and use it as a mask for the skin. I'd tell you what else is in it but my mother won't tell me 😭 but moringa is definitely amazing. AND GREAT FOR THE GUT. My aunt has GERD and she drinks moringa tea every morning with honey because it tastes very strongly (nasty af) on it's own. I use strawberry with it because I really hate the taste and smell lmfao but it makes a great tea. Good for nausea or any kind of tummy issue. ☺💓
is there any case or paper to put it in because if its get dirty and melts in your makeup bag you just wasted your money of course its good its zero waist but if you have to throw it out after a few use because its destroyed its just ruins the hall pourpose of no waste ??
No that isn't what zero waste means. Zero waste means it can be reused or biodegradable to the point that it won't stay in landfills for years (or the ocean). So it would be a waste of YOUR money. But it is still ZERO waste. Because even if you throw it out, it does nothing bad to the planet. And the case IS the box.

it's pricy because it's made out of natural products.. right? i never tried any lush product before
I love some of their products so much (twilight spray, big shampoo, respect your elders soap bar, their lip scrubs, whipstick, etc) so I don’t think it’s overrated, but they sure are VERY overpriced!
imagine being the person at lush that approved this.
"no cover? Terrible coverage? pore clogging oil? THJS LRODUCT WILL BD GR8888"
So now my questions are: how would you store that foundation after using it? Back into the box? Will it melt again? Especially if it's a warm weather?
It would be 100% better if they made lids
I think there going for the no waste gimmick. Although I agree that I would have preferred a lid.
notsofrilly im sure they could create a recycled/recycble lid. Or make it like the shampoo bars where you buy a reusable tin lid
notsofrilly it's not a gimmick, it's important. Look into the effect of plastics in the environment if you think it's all just buzzwords and gimmicks.
Foundation from the dollar store would probably be more sanitary.
it's meant to be package free to reduce plastic waste, that's why it has no lid or anything
I think the point of the product is to be zero waste, wich is a thing now.
Totally agree ! Why this company just doesn’t spend some budget on packaging?? To at least guarantee the hygiene ??
Great zero waste concept but poor execution on the sanitary aspect and practicality, could be useful for winter though to give that dewy look
I think they're going to listen to the feedback and improve on the design.
Uh what about stick foundations? It's literally the same
Then put it in a container! Jeeze people, are you too stupid to find a jar or tin around your house? Please use your heads.
@@juniperjadey they have way less surface area and therefore are easier to clean
as far as making it more sanitary; maybe if they dipped more of the product in wax so that more of the product was covered in wax. That way it'd be less messy and you could just peel the wax off as you needed more and it'd keep the product cleaner and fresher.
The packaging is definitely not user-friendly. Looks cheap and messy.
Their product is definitely better to buy in-store. I've seen so many negative reviews on the online orders.
It's TRUE. Buying in store is better. Plus Lush tried to be waste free as possible. So a lot of their products have minimal packaging
But its eco friendly which is WAY more important than your opinion.
@@darril6486 you can be eco-friendly while still having proper hygiene.
Natalia Maliga as well you can take lush pots back and get free stuff
This product will not survive in the jungle of foundations.😒
@Alana Maloney, uh what? She meant there's so many foundations to choose from that this one from Lush just isn't worth the money. It may be environmentally friendly, but it's not sanitary nor practical. As for the last part of your comment, yea that's not really accurate. I take care of my skin, as many people do as well, and a lot of the time I don't wear foundation, but when I'm going out somewhere and want to get dressed up I'll throw some on. I'm not hiding my face lol, I just like to do a full face of makeup sometimes. That doesn't equate to not taking care of your skin though. 🤦👍🤣
Alana Maloney actually this foundation is bad for the skin because it has coconut oil in it
Alana Maloney Uh, you do know the people who wear makeup and it’s flawless have good skin?
What?
You can make it sanitary easily, just put it in a tin.
Yeah, plus for that price ($26.95 AUD) I could buy a foundation that's cheaper and has hygientic packaging 😞
satinboys totally agree!!
I wonder if u could spray alcohol or something lol
Allister Waurick I’m sorry but you just confused me so much lol
Allister Waurick you just spray alcohol on it. Most profesional makeup artists spray their cosmetics in order to rid it of bacteria before using is on their clients. It does not damage or “remove large part of the foundation” as you said.
They did p much everything wrong smfh
1. That no-waste goal can be solved with refillable containers like they do their face masks. Customers keep a nice, strong plastic container they can get sanitized and refilled at the store. This would reduce waste, ensure repeat customers, and potential discounts for recycling containers at Lush stores incentivize consumers to keep up the no waste trend
2. Coconut oil will turn off every MUA in the industry. If you can't talk to actual chemists and estheticians, at least glance at r/skincareaddiction to wake up to the ingredients consumers want to see
T. Mack surely they can use plant based plastic to keep packaging more sanitary
Recycling doesnt equal zero waste, imo they should make a tin twisting packaging like a gluestick and you could go there and refill it
Madeleine Tanner and we can use compostable plastic like bags etc.
Then just send them your points instead of putting it here. That should be more useful
T. Mack couldn’t have said it better myself
Everything aside..I respect lush cosmetics for being so environment friendly and sustainable...they are really trying their best. I hope more brands get inspired from this❤️🙏
You are the best youtuber I get bored from watching other TH-camr but I watch you from 2 years and I didn't get bored
Thank you so much!! Sending you lots of love ❤️❤️❤️
Tina Yong OMG thank you
I love how she uses foundation in her actual skin tone and not 2 or 3 tones darker/more orage to pretend she is tanned
We love a non-trump-skin queen
Lol
Artemis Holmes usually most makeup wipes don’t contain alcohol in it and it also says it on the packaging
Aadin Heals, they actually suggest that you let anything that doesnt have packaging to sit out and dry before your next use with it...so it doesnt grow mold. if you buy those products at least expect to take care of them
Put your no-container bath products in a little holder that is well drained, and don't keep them inside the shower. It's so freakin easy.
Ke La My sister once owned a facemask from Lush and it started to drip through the packaging and there was face mask liquid everywhere ugh
@@Ali-pb6jb first world waste isnt really an issue compared to other places
is the actual no-waste product not functional or is your lifestyle built around unsustainable habits?
Yes! Thanks for this educated comment!
preach it!
Macki, you can drop a lipstick, mascara wand and anything else too.
The problem is that if you drop it/when you need to put it down it’ll pick up the crap from the other surface and stick to the coconut oil and go into your skin again
The only thing that would fix it is potato peeling the crap out of it each use 😂
You should try their shampoo bar! It's package free and smells delicious. Cleans my hair really well too
Oh yes I’ve seen videos on how that’s made- looks really cool!
The oat and float is my favorite!
I love their shampoo bars the honey one is so hydrating for my hair!
I’ve never been a massive fan of lush makeup but I would 100% recommend their skincare and body products like the soaps, lotions, bath products etc.
You are so confident when you are film a new video here .I always love to watch your beautiful smile on each your video
Did you try it? I'm not sure you can say it wouldn't last if you haven't tried it
@tina you might be having a reaction to the rose hip oil in the primer. It makes my skin break out almost immediately too
It would be so much better if they just put it in maybe a reusable metal or tin box without the wax (kinda like an altoids container). It might be more expensive but certainly more sanitary. And it would still cater to those who are living a zero waste lifestyle. The way it is right now is definitely unsanitary and you would never be able to bring it anywhere. And if you live in a hotter climate it won't work in general
Sunday yes 😊 and LUSH actually sells tin containers
@@cawfee-pv9ib well, they could use glass jar? many skin products come in glass
The highlighter is great, it looks very bright and the color is very natural !
Yiann SC lush has loads of unhealthy chemicals in it.
Juan Trump please care to explain ?
coats loads of articles out there, lush isn't a natural or plant based company. They are hand made, vegan and less packaging
Piper I'm not talking about what lush claims, I'm talking about lots of people that think lush is natural and organic. It's neither.
If they wanted to be eco-friendly they could have made a separate reusable container where you can store it.
hi
Me, a rat. BTS, the Pied Piper they sell those already especially for their bar products such the shampoo and conditioners
They should have sent it in their tins. The tin would be more protective and the tin reusable.
I love that this is super low waste! And I feel like it's just as higenic as any pencil or stick product...
Very well said!
HappyG agreed. I stick to their shampoo bars and conditioners, which are awesome.
the most annoying thing with “chemical free” anything, for me, is that everything contains chemicals... everything is made of chemicals. if it was “chemical free” it wouldnt even exist.
OMG YES! I hate that "chemical free" tagline, green-washing can be really dangerous because it's inaccurate.
Everything is chemicals, there's no such thing as "chemical free" and many "natural" substances are actually very dangerous such as cyanide and mercury.
lunaxtics yea i do understand im just an angry science man 70% of the time
Australian brand Sukin is a lifesaver. Incredibly gentle, no nasties what so ever in the ingredients and cruelty free. I recommend it to anyone with very sensitive skin.
Why didnt they make a lid for it? and how could they just send it without any plastic protector? looks unsanitary.. But Tina you look beautiful as always
Mimi M-va they are moving away from plastic I believe. I think they want to be more environmentally conscious.
Ci Nguyen Actually that’s the main aim of the Company.
Ye I agree but there should be some protection of the product. When she opened the box it looked like someone put their nails in the foundation.
Mimi M-va Yeah, I like lush very much, and I think that the concept of the product and the idea behind the packaging is good. But yeah, it’s not really hygienique :/
yeah:)
14:04 wow if I had skin like you Tina, I wouldn't even know when I'm finished taking all the foundation of because your skin is so perfect I see almost no difference between you wearing foundation and you not wearing any..
God I wish my skin was just nearly as flawless and perfect as yours lol
The background color is perfect. It makes your video look so clean and well put together.
1:28 hell no I’m not putting something on my face that wasn’t even remotely sealed. Who just throws a foundation stick bare into a cardboard box?
or wraps in a tissue. I can't get my head around the way they have sent it to a consumer. It's just disrespectful.
Magical morninga is my life! I love it as a primer and it literally has lasted me so long. Your room must be suuuper hot because I live in Texas and mine has never melted. Put it in your fridge Tina :)
It’s actually Moringa! I just had this pointed out to me as I’ve been saying Morninga too, so weird!
The packaging is horrible! How can I put this foundation inside my makeup bag without it being smeared everywhere!
U look gorgeous as usual btw love u
Ma- Adalsa I think they could at least added someting to the box so the foundation would rest so it would go everywhere
Put the product back in the box it came in. It's so small and thin that it shouldn't take up that much space in your bag
notsofrilly I don't think that's what she was getting at. It'll still rattle around the little box and smear.
It’s unhygienic tho
Rosa Vanesa yeah a lid or something!
The packaging could be a bit better. It’s unhygienic I think 😖😖🤮🤢is the bottom wax as well??
So Da, they should just wrap all of them in thoses tissues XD
Rose :D yeah that would be better. But it’s still waste a lot of it 🙄🙄
So Da No I completely agree! It doesn’t come with a lid and your fingers (which have a lot more bacteria on it than you think) have to touch the product to peel the wax off. And it doesn’t even come with a lid? You know how much bacteria will get into the product?! Foundation from the dollar store would probably be more sanitary.
Wow, a lot of hateful comments about lush, I really like lush products, I use their shower gels and jellies, body scrubs, massage oils, body butters, all that jazz, and I really like them
My favourite is the Scrubee body butter, it smells amazing and leaves my skin so soft especially when it’s colder weather
Just FYI but not all lush products are vegan, some have honey in them.
kerri some honey is vegan, it depends on whether it was harvested or collected.
I like that idea of the EOS packaging! As for back to school, sometimes I feel too old to be filming back to school looks... 😞
Tina Yong I understand. Can't wait for new Tina Tries It every week! It gives me something to look forward to. 😊
They're trying to reduce waste which includes plastic. Their black pots are recycled when returned by caring customers who also want to make a difference. If they make smaller packaging like eos, more than likely they won't be recycled. I say they make glass pots like the ones for their lip scrubs.
I’ve been wanting to see if this works! I’m so glad you did this. I love you so much! Girl power! 😊
This company has such a great ethical standpoint in their mission and policy towards the environment, people and animals. You should use more of their products!
You should definitely try and use more Lush products. Their ethical values are amazing, their products are very natural and hand made, which is amazing, and they're very good. It's my favourite brand ever
If you need a foundation living zero waste, you can find pressed foundation in beuatiful cardboard package, it's much cheaper and more sanitary
Where?
Tina keeps saying morninga when it's actually moringa. 😂 the mind plays tricks on us
"Isn't talc carcinogenic? [puts it on anyway]" Legends only.
Moringa is a very healthy leaf vegetable from the Philippines. It's very useful in many ways and keeps the skin healthy and promotes healing. Ideally if you're trying to cover up blemishes or scars, the moringa oleifera helps also to heal it. 🤗😊
Thanks for the review. Won’t be wasting money on this product. Your skin is beautiful on its own.
she was right about the coconut oil reaction cuz I was like "YEET"
It’s crazy how quickly that reaction came up! I’m surprised that lush products actually caused that!
What gross packaging! Coconut oil will melt right off your face too!
Maybe it has other ingredients that hold the foundation in place.
It's not gross. All makeup has the potential for bacteria. Transfer the stick into a clean jar or tin, problem solved.
Moringa is widely known here in the Philippines as "Malunggay Leaves" . Its smells really funny but has many nutritional value to it, breastfeeding moms makes soup with it to produce more milk. We drink it in tea too. It's super nutritious, we used and eat it everyday.
Love that you’re honest with your reviews
I've tried various different foundations from Lush. I so want to love their makeup, and support their make up like. But literally every time I have used their foundation it's like a freaking oil spill on my face. It doesn't matter what I use to blend the make up, it always ends up a streaky mess. But I think a lot of people have said the same. ☹️
Sarah Green because they put an incredibly excessive amount of oils in there formulations😖
by just looking at it, i can already feel my acne flaring up
I started breaking out as soon as she said 40% coconut oil 😂
@@joyuna 😂 lol
The foundation looks satisfying
A environmentally conscious company is absolutely something I can stand by. I love the direction they're trying to go with their products, I hope they see this video and take some suggestions from the comments in order to improve their products.
Moringa is a green leaf vegetable that is very nutritious. We eat it in the Philippines. Eating the leaf also helps produce more milk for lactating mothers...
For me this would be a winter only foundation. It won't melt and my skin will be super dry so it should be workable?
Grant Ding it will still melt from body heat
Yeah I think in winter time it would be better to use
I love your voice and accent it sounds so unique. 😻
Sooo it’s just grease paint
OMG 😱 your skin is so flawless 😍
The sleepy lotion, sexy peel soap, bath bombs, lip scrub and cupcake mask are the best if you guys are looking to try lush! Obsessed
You’re glowing !!!
It's Moringa. It's actually quite popular now in the caribbean.
Thanks for the info! I was reading it as morninga oops! 🤭
...And Africa...
Try laneige water sleeping mask its soo amazing
Oh yeah I just got to the rest of the video. moringa kind of smells...bad...LMAO I'm so sorry 😭😂
Please do a skin care video!!!! You’re glowing 😫😫💕
I love your new background 😋😘
Hehe thank you! It’s just a piece of cardboard lol
is there any case or paper to put it in because if its get dirty and melts in your makeup bag you just wasted your money of course its good its zero waist but if you have to throw it out after a few use because its destroyed its just ruins the hall pourpose of no waste ??
I think you’ll need to put it in your own container cause the box won’t be enough to protect it
No that isn't what zero waste means. Zero waste means it can be reused or biodegradable to the point that it won't stay in landfills for years (or the ocean). So it would be a waste of YOUR money. But it is still ZERO waste. Because even if you throw it out, it does nothing bad to the planet. And the case IS the box.

highlighters a win. generally i do like lush but its out of my budget but the foundation shape seems quite awkward, except for the contour part. i really want the twilight perfume they have
