Easily and Simply Extend your Jeep Wrangler ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Wiring

- This is a very simple and easy how to on extending your ABS Wheel Speed Sensors on Jeep Wranglers equipped with ABS Wheel Speed Sensors, this technique may work on other vehicles. The test vehicle was a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited.
Follow the factory instructions to remove your ABS Wheel Speed Sensor from your Jeep and/or other ABS Wheel Speed Sensor equipped vehicle.
The instructions in the video are basic electrical splicing.
Tools needs:
Wire Strippers w/wire cutter
Electrical tape
Correct sized Shrink wrap
Solder /Shrink Wrap connectors or solder and a soldering gun (Soldering with a soldering gun technique is not performed in this video.

Zip Ties

Thanks for your video! had a similar problem with my sensors, i hit a bump on the road and the sensors got stuck between the springs, a truly christmas three showed up on my display. I will fix them based on your video.

I think I got the wheel speed sensors from Amazon, I soldered the extension on the new Wheel Speed Sensor wires

Wire color doesn’t matter
The gauge matters try to get a gauge wire that is close to the abs wire
If it ends up black or red it’s a bonus

What was the gauge of your extension wire?
I tried to match the gauge as close as I could, I think it was 14 or 18
Worn out pocket knife with wire strippers sitting right there on the bench…. Then finished it all up with electrical tape in lieu of shrink wrap…. Geeeez….. Going to look all janky with those colored wires….
