In 2021 I lost my mom to cancer; when she was first diagnosed with it we were not ready for it as far as any precautionary measures we could’ve set up. I was 25 and my sister was 24. Even though multiple family members, including myself stepped in to help it was definitely a round the clock job in itself. Ish was right on about cleaning the bathroom, even her own self and extremities. As a child seeing your parent go through that takes a toll, idk what I would’ve done without my sister, dad, and aunties all stepping in to support. If my family at large wasn’t as close as they were both location and relationship wise, things would’ve been very different in those final days. Very traumatic being there during it but very blessed she at least transitioned smoothly.
I moved mine in with me in another state and it has been the hardest thing in life. The thing that's the hardest is dealing with companies, medicare, and other agencies trying to advocate for your family member. You have to really research laws and policies because you call and the people tell you just any ole thing.

Im dealing with taking care of my mom now. Ive sacifriced my life to make sure she is good, while still trying to get my young adults on their own and thriving. Its very hard, but they help me too. My daughter comes home on break she is a lifesaver. I still want them to live their lives so i dont put that on them. I have 2 brothers. 1 visits thats it. None of their young adult kids help. Niece has went to store a couple of times for her. So i say that to say it is life changing and i lost my 3yr relationship partly because of it. He is not a family man(foster child) so he font have that sense of loyalty. Its ok. God revealed him to me in the long run. So, im good on that. I do desire another committed relationship.

Everyone but Ish debated him from a standpoint that assumes the noncustodial parent is only financially responsible and not sharing parental responsibilities and living arrangements. I have mine 50% of the time and still have to pay for them when they are at the other parent’s house because she doesn’t make as much. This is the middle area that Ish is talking about

The talk about dealing with your parents morality is real shit. As a kid as soon i became conscious of the fact my mom would pass one day I would cry at night sometimes. As an adult I just try to be aware it's part of reality and stay strong but it's hard to wrap your mind around.

Im dealing with taking care of my mom now. Ive sacifriced my life to make sure she is good, while still trying to get my young adults on their own and thriving. Its very hard, but they help me too. My daughter comes home on break she is a lifesaver. I still want them to live their lives so i dont put that on them. I have 2 brothers. 1 visits thats it. None of their young adult kids help. Niece has went to store a couple of times for her. So i say that to say it is life changing and i lost my 3yr relationship partly because of it. He is not a family man(foster child) so he font have that sense of loyalty. Its ok. God revealed him to me in the long run. So, im good on that. I do desire another committed relationship.
