I fell out of love with my plants for a good two years. It was prompted by repeated pest outbreaks. I kept most of my plants though. I recently fell in love with all my plants again. Anthurium are my newest obsession.
I will never lose my love for plants. I think you will always find new plants that you fall in love with and that's normal. But I have always loved plants and a home without plants is just an empty shell imo 😅 But I think many that saw their chance in making money from plants in 2020-2021 are not here anymore. Also the Swedish winter has been very dark so even with grow lights many of us have been struggling. I think we only had sunlight for 6 hours in November, December and January combined. That's really hard ever for us Sweds. But now it's only 2 months until spring and I can't wait 😍

Have you ever tried running a wick up from reservoir up into the moss pole? I've tried this with a couple plants that I have in semi hydro(majority of my collection is in aroid mix btw)and it helps keep the poles moist in my more arid climate.

Def started out with succulents, and cacti first. Then snake plants, and then moved on to aroids, then hoyas. Love having a variety of plants, even though I have under 40 lol. Still loving them all, and still on the lookout for some cool fuzzy, or silver hoyas!

I still love plants and forever will be but I can honestly say that I am not as attentive to my babies as usual 😢 it’s because of multiple things for me. Going back to office and preparing documents for a big change in my life! I’m definitely not over my plants but I consider this phase as my “hiatus”. Don’t worry Kevin I will always watch your videos! You are actually my reminder why I love taking care of plants 😊💚 keep going!

Still loving plants but the love had definitely changed!! Climbers on poles are less attractive to me to keep my house because of all the maintenance and I’m liking hoyas a LOT more due to their beauty and ease of care. I also really like crawlers a lot more. I’m Preferring having less plants and more easy care ones so I can enjoy them around my tiny apartment haha

I go through periods where I don’t love my plants and don’t want to water my plants. I might skip three days of watering then I’ll need to water forty or more plants in one day which I run out of fertilizer water. I make it by the gallon. And I have two gallons at a time. It takes me 24 hours to make new fertilizer water. I need to let my water sit in the gallons with the top off to allow for the chemicals escape

I go through phases with different plants, like I went through a huge orchid phase (I love that you get as excited over phalaenopsis as I do LOL) and then a sygonium phase and now I'm on a philodendron / Arthurium phase. Maybe one day I will tire of plants but it won't be for a while!
Also I'm kinda sad the sound was just falling ice cause I would be game for plants and ghosts in the same video 😂 Make a new genre, paranormal plant chores!
The key is to find the best medium for your style of plant care. I don’t believe that aroid mixes are inherently better than semi hydro, just different. I know I work better with semi hydro for most of my plants but I still grow anything more succulent (cacti, caudex, succulents) in airy soil mixes for the most part because I find it dries out faster than pon and my plants are happier. But with aroids and Hoya I am 100% a better plant parent with leca or pon.
You’re running a humidifier and I didn’t think you used humidifiers. I’ve never noticed it before.

When should I repot a plant that’s in pon? My New Guinea ghost has grown a couple big roots down into the wick and they sit in the reservoir so is it due a repot? Or should I leave it for a while? Sorry I basically get all my plant knowledge from you 😭
