I know why, because kids usually don't listen to such types of songs. I myself like all kinds of songs, both commercial, hearted and epic, but what I always felt closer to my heart were such types of songs, that's why I am of the ones here coming and listening to our underrated Anastacia, because for me that's music. They prefer watching half nude or nude 'artists' who use playback when singing, because the voice doesn't matter to them, what matters is how they look like. A pity Anastacia is everything of these in one, and even more, and still underrated.
Yes, I agree with you but music is more than a simple concept of classification... I mean, it gives us emotions in different ways, we just have to be able to let it be ours. Anyway, yes, it's very sad to see that some kind of singers are more popular than others, can't deny that...

I myself know it, as well, because I am a writer, and I know the emotions I go through when I start writing about something and later on I reach the stage of presenting it to others, in a unique way to show the way I saw it and to give people answers, or to make them question something. The same way we listen to these songs and find something in our lives that actually crosses with the meaning of that song. And that song doesn't even have only one meaning, dozen of meanings for the different types of people watching it.
No matter what Anastacia will always be Anastacia and she will be always remembered, no matter of the range of remembrance.

You gotta give her credit, after battling cancer twice her voice is still great. It may not be as strong as it was but Chemotherapy is very rough on your body, including your voice.
She never got chemo, she just struggles with a heart problem that can really tire her out

In some parts the backing vocals is much louder than her but I don't think it's an issue with her voice. It seems to me it was the fault of the sound engineer.
