Some great tips to have before riding these slides: 1. Cup one of your hands over your nose and mouth. It helps keep water from shooting up your nostrils and let's you breath throughout the slide. 2. Please do the BLUE slide first. 3. If you decide to ride the much more intense GREEN slide, don't try to lift your head. It's something like 3Gs through the turns so please keep your head back. Probably the wildest and most fun waterslides in the state.
I did the green first. I’ve never really done water slides much before because I don’t like heights or definitely the walk up steps hand out in midair. I was up there to try the blue and said screw it im trying green. The anticipation is the worst part when your just in the capsule waiting. Once you drop the bad part is over before you even can count to 2. I tried to look but felt like my face was being blasted with a fire hose.
I rode this at night and I must say I felt like I was not going to make it. The anxiety is REDICULOUS as you wait for the trap door to drop, then, it is SO fast!!! The water was rushing in my face and I just wanted to survive it! I can say without a doubt that it was a the most thrilling ride that I have EVER experienced, including coasters. I am still undecided as to whether I enjoyed it😉.
What I found funny about these two slides is that all the workers say the blue slide is the more intense one than the green so when I went on blue it was really nice and had low expectations for green but then was super surprised by the SUPER TIGHT FAST curves and air time drop at the end.
I am so glad other people had the same experience as me on the green slide, had no idea when it was going to drop and I didn’t have my nose plugged, so just BREATHED IN water as I went down. And because I panicked with the water going into my face I unravelled my crossed position and was hitting all the walls as I went down. It was also the first ride I went on, I had no idea what I was queuing for until I got there😭
I experienced the green trap door slide yesterday, hands down the scariest ride I've ever been on, worse than any roller coaster. Stepping into the chamber and the anticipation of the trap door releasing, then free falling down the tube at such extreme speed with water shooting in my face start to finish... nuts, someone would have to pay me $50 to do that again 🤣
In terms of intensity I rate this ride 10/10 extreme intensity, 3/10 enjoyability. Compared to Velocicoaster in Islands of Adventure 6/10 intensity and 10/10 enjoyability.
Did this slide on my 10 year wedding anniversary. It was one of the coolest and most gut wrenching rides i have ever done! Can't wait to go back and do it AGAIN!
It’s absolutely insane that on these slides, you’re falling for around 20 seconds. That might not seem like much, but 20 sec is an EXTREMELY long time to fall down a waterslide. I went on both of these back in 2019. They were without a doubt, the most intense waterslides I’ve EVER been on. You don’t realize just how truly long of a fall that is unless you’ve been on these.
i rode the green one and i literally thought i wasn’t going to make it. i was basically breathing in water because there was SO MUCH OF IT GOING UP ON MY FACE and i had a little panic attack when my legs uncrossed and i had trouble crossing them again because of the force pushing down. it was so exhilarating but nerve wrecking so i’m still on the fence whether or not i liked it.
EXACTLY! I went on the blue one and had the same issue. Glad to say I faced my fear, but now I can have a reason not to do it again. 😅 I had to tell myself the whole way down I was gonna be okay, and I couldn’t even enjoy the ride since my head was forced to look up. Even when you get to the bottom the force of water was too much, I didn’t know where I was.
I had a very similar experience😂 I rode the Green one and i’m so glad i faced my fear, but the two worst things about it was #1 - My back got TERRIBLY scratched up by the slide #2 - So much water flew in my face and got into my mouth and lungs i was coughing for the rest of the day
JeffFrmJoisey yeah I rode both tubes and they're really intense, it slows down a little towards the bottom but for the most part you're going crazy fast the entire time
This two slides are INSANE! And I tried any kind of ride in my life. The green one is ridicolous, I could not keep my head up because of the massive forces and the speed.
My friend had back pains after this. Me? well I now have a fear of tubes. And a fear of drowning. Oh and the noise of the mechanism that releases the floor.
Ok so like, I might be the only one here who LOVES the sound of the trapdoor opening idk I’m really weird but it’s fun and these slides are really fun, I love em owo
I went on this and held up the line.. I was literally crying stepping one foot in one foot out... I did it because I didn’t want to go back down the stairs
I remember going on the Ko'Kiri Body Plunge. To be honest, the most scariest part for me was the anticipation of the drop because you're never going to know when you drop. I wouldn't recommend the Body Plunge for people who suffer panic attacks but I would recommend for people with a fear of heights, it helps with overcoming that fear!
Me too! And I’m a good swimmer and everything and know how to expel air from my nose when under water, etc! And I’ve always loved thrill rides and drop slides but the green slide almost killed me, I swear! My head was literally banging on the slide and when I would try to lift it so it would stop knocking back, I couldn’t do it bc I was going SO fast so it would just slam back down from the insane speed of everything and water was just shooting down my throat and nose! It is such a fast slide... I felt like a bullet! It was insane! I’ve never been so stressed out and scared in my life!! Gahhhh!!! 😱
That looks like a whole lot of fun! Never been on a trapdoor slide with that length before. They should build more of those back here in Europe! Also, killer video man.
I just went on the "GREEN" Slide, 2 days ago at volcano Bay. I have never suffocated and almost drowned the whole way down a water slide. Half way down I was gasping for air and the water shoots up your nose and mouth at the same time. Good luck 👍 green one was the worst
I'm so impressed by the length of these slides. I love the drum theming inside the box too! Adds to the suspense and makes it fun. I've never been on anything like this, but love roller coasters and thrill rides. I'm a bit apprehensive around body slides. How do you think I'd fare on these? Also can curvy chicks ride these? I'm not obese but not skinny either haha. I'm afraid of heights (I still go on big rides) but the sensation of height isn't really there as you are put in a box unlike other water slides. Also are the segments painful as you go down? Some slides can burn on the way down.
Katya Weikel most of the slides have a weight limit of 200lbs so if you're under that you're fine! As far as them being painful, I'd say they're about as comfortable as it can be falling down 125 foot plastic drop lol, much less pain than going down the taller slides at Disney's two parks
I LOVE the lengths of these, agreed! Love the blue slide, the green one is a bit intense but I love the airtime drop at the very end. Blue one does not have that
Jay Alford most of the pools at the end of the slides are 3.5 feet at the deepest, with the exception of the OhYah and OhNo drop slides which drop into a 10ft deep pool!
When we went to Orlando this was the first slide I went on. Me and my sister took the long walk up and saw a small group of people just waiting at the top in line, realized they were deciding if they wanted to ride the slide. Since they couldn't make up their mind they let us go first. Me being the mischievous child I am got an idea. I walked on to the slide and right as I just started dropping screamed as loud as possible, you don't even want to know how loud that was. So then wanting to see their reaction, we went back up and lucky for us, they were still there. Now they were looking pure white they let us go ahead again and this time I screamed even louder, all in all! After that we stopped, the virtual line getting longer. Never knew if they actually went down. We had a pretty good time! ; )
I went on the blue slide and honestly it was fun! I could breath and even talk in the slide and water wasn’t hitting my face. One thing i hated ALOT is the slight cracks on the slide. You go fast so your skin is constantly being hit and scratched every time you hit a bump which made a red mark on my back for 4 days.
Blue slide today.. Cracks on the slide were hitting back of my head unacceptable ! Tried to raise my head and finished with a very bad neck pain. This ride is just not safe enough !
When I visited there 2 mounths ago, no water park even close to volcano bay rank, best park in the world, especially the red free fall slide you cant breathe! Also the place is so beatiful, you must visit this park, best attraction ever!
The green one is more intense. The G forces pin your head back on the slide for the first few seconds. Keep your mouth closed early on, or you'll suck in a ton of water. The last half of the slide is smooth sailing.
I went on this today (blue) and it was SO FUN! And I get scared of the poles that are like 8 feet high you can ride down. Just always listen to the lifeguards I accidentally uncrossed my legs and I started going up. Scary but fun
For people who want to do this but are too scared read this!!!!!!!! Ok so first of all I’m only 11 years old and have anxiety. But one time I was at safari joes h2o (my fav water park) and there is this slide called the looping banana slide! It is the highest and fastest ride there. The first time I chickened out but I went up again later and actually did it! Tbh it’s not that bad. There was no countdown on the ride for when the trapdoor opens but it was about 7 seconds. I was terrified and my little brother went on it too and they are only 9!!!! It was scary when the floor first dropped but what can you say it’s a thrill ride lol. Anyways it was really fun! So fun u went on it again :) the second time I went on it the kid behind me was sooooo scared to go on it! So I hyped him up. I told him how fun it was and stuff. He said we was the same age as me too! I went and he smiled at me as I was going down awh anyways I waited for him near the slide and when he came out the bottom of the slide I cheered for him :)))) so yeah that’s my story the only complaint I would say is that you might get water all in your face and nose but it’s worth it haha
I’m 12 years old and I went on the green one for my bday, it was rlly fun! I honestly don’t remember much bc I was basically choking on water the whole way down but the drop was literally not that bad. The drop was my fave parr!
I went on this last week (the green one) let me tell you I nearly had a cardiac arrest at the drop 😂 you cant see or breathe as you go down so fast and the water sprays all over your face 😑 when I got to the bottom I was shaking like a leaf from the adrenaline and my body actually hurt from the force 😂 Ps. The stairs on the way up are torture 😩
Not only were there a million stairs but before I went, usually it takes five seconds after stepping in the tube for you to get launched down. The ride sort of broke down with me in the tube and I stood in there for over a minute.
Im 12 and this was so fun, last time in aquatica i pussied out and knocked on it before i started, but this time it was SO fun though! I missed a lot ehen i didnt ride it in aquatica. I couldnt breathe this time but i still went twice. I so recommend it, my soul literally left my body for a few seconds!
Swear down that felt like 10 minutes on that slide, thought I’d never come out but on this vid it’s only like 10 secs. Couldn’t breathe either scariest ride I’ve been on
I got on the blue and green one! The green tube was faster!! The worst part was the stairs!!!! 220 steps to climb! It was worth it! The best water park ever!
I rode a slide like this at Kalahari and couldn’t breathe the entire time. These look like they are even longer. I’m going to universal later this year and idk if I should ride these.
I rode the blue one, and omg whoever was in charge of sending me down was such a troll! He was giving me a countdown with his hand when he was going to drop me, but when he showed 2, HE PRESSED THE BUTTON! I remember being livid with him back then, but thinking about it now, it was pretty funny, especially because I was so shocked i completely forgot everything they told me when i entered the tube
The heartbeat sounds when you're waiting inside the chamber is anxiety inducing the first time I went down. Crossing your arms and legs is weird but when you drop, it keeps you from futilely trying to save yourself from plummeting
I posayed out of the red one but i did the green and blue one, the drop was lowkey crazy on those. The green one makes your head hurt because of all the turns.
For the green one i enjoyed it the first time so i went back on it but it was completely different, like i couldnt lift my head and i was getting whipped about. Didnt go back on it after that
Worst part is waiting in that capsule for the floor to drop out. After the initial drop youre moving so fast no time to be scared. Slows down a bit maybe 10 seconds in and then speeds up again. Felt like I was going at least 50mph. Went on the green one😮
I was planning to ride it, but I didn’t. I guess I was thinking about it too much. See now, I am not scared of the ride itself, just the door. I can’t go now, because I am going home rn. I went with my father, and he gave me his TapuTapu since his timer was done, however I didn’t go. My friends did, but I didn’t. My friends were like, “ Please!! You would make it more fun! “ But, again I was over thinking it. My friend was screaming and scared at the same time, but she went anyway. But if I had gone, maybe the blue. Which is more mild? Like, more settling? Ik none, but the one that’s more comfortable.
Some great tips to have before riding these slides:

Stormtrooper 8 worst part for me is standing waiting for the floor to drop
The dropAMD while you slide down...you drown in the water.
My worst part was the fact after I rode this my back and my butt were red for a week
Stormtrooper 8 can u tell me where is this place from which country plz
Yes! And waiting the floor to open got tricked 5 times

Fifthrider I imagine that guy, talking to you, and when you don't aggree with him on something, he just drop you in the slide xD
You ain’t lying. This was an intense ride. Feels like you are touching nothing at all first 15-20 ft
as a UOTM, this is hilarious LMAO
If you like the sensasion of drownining this is the one for you. I went on it and i was gasping for air all the way down
Andreas Ek you gotta take a deep breath before going down

Sorry
Isn't that why people go on water slides? The thrill of almost drowning?
I kinda like that feeling. It adds to the craziness
What I found funny about these two slides is that all the workers say the blue slide is the more intense one than the green so when I went on blue it was really nice and had low expectations for green but then was super surprised by the SUPER TIGHT FAST curves and air time drop at the end.

xXSp3ctęr Xx yeah but it’s mostly the initial drop that’s scariest

The green one is ridicolous, I could not keep my head up because of the massive forces and the speed.

I LOVE the lengths of these, agreed! Love the blue slide, the green one is a bit intense but I love the airtime drop at the very end. Blue one does not have that
Being that I can't swim worth shit, I wouldn't get on this slide solely because it ends up in a pool of water & I'd freak the hell out LOL.

I did all there like five to 10 times!!! There are amazing!!!!!!!
Elevator goals! Mr.Disney u dropped multi millis on this shindig what's a few more grand??
Its all fun and games until you go on it. Bro I hate how they let you go at their time and u never know when. I’m never ready ! 😂
What? How does anybody like this? Couldn't breathe, banged my head twice..cry cry
When I saw the green slide my *LEGS* were so dead that this Vid made my legs die XD RIP LEGS
Not only were there a million stairs but before I went, usually it takes five seconds after stepping in the tube for you to get launched down. The ride sort of broke down with me in the tube and I stood in there for over a minute.
No wayyyyyyy😳😳😳😳😳
Oh wow! I would love to face the gear and do these but I don't know if I could, probably back out when I got up there! Thanks for sharing.
yay finally a non click bait one
Im 12 and this was so fun, last time in aquatica i pussied out and knocked on it before i started, but this time it was SO fun though! I missed a lot ehen i didnt ride it in aquatica. I couldnt breathe this time but i still went twice. I so recommend it, my soul literally left my body for a few seconds!
Have you guys ever tried the one in camelback aquatopia its pretty good
Swear down that felt like 10 minutes on that slide, thought I’d never come out but on this vid it’s only like 10 secs.
Were both slides similar, or was one more intense?
The green one is definitely more intense it’s much jerkier and I remember it did hurt me a little bit after words
You guys are so brave I’m scared to go on this trapdoor slide!
This looks so cool but I'm pretty sure I'd freak out until it dropped.
Wow this is a nice slide ... thanks for sharing :)
I ride trapdoor slides for a living... This one made me the most nauseated.
How much money does that career entail?
@@joshuadarts2687 😂😂😂right
Just started working here. I love the place
These two slides are literally anxiety simulators. However they are really fun and a good laugh thinking back on them.
People on this would be like “hmm this doesn’t look bad...right” *trap door opens* “AHhHhHHHh”
I posayed out of the red one but i did the green and blue one, the drop was lowkey crazy on those. The green one makes your head hurt because of all the turns.
For the green one i enjoyed it the first time so i went back on it but it was completely different, like i couldnt lift my head and i was getting whipped about. Didnt go back on it after that
I love these slides the only thing is looking down from the staircase…👀
Just when there for winter break... Definitely do it 👍
Was I the only one who yelled
ITS MAUI TIME
As a reference to moana
Awesome ride for sure.
WHAT THE HECK IS THE DRUMMING AT 1:08
it's part of the ride to give people anxiety when their waiting in the capsule
i loved this sm when i went, next time planning on going on the straight one. when plugging your nose make a little cup so you can breathe
But, again I was over thinking it. My friend was screaming and scared at the same time, but she went anyway. But if I had gone, maybe the blue. Which is more mild? Like, more settling? Ik none, but the one that’s more comfortable.
Don’t worry! It’s a similar story with me. But now since I didn’t go, I have been like, upset
So, you feel like, you’ll be bullied for not going on it?? When all your friends had?
I guess
I just got worried because, of the drop
I see.. nothing to be embarrassed about though!
This actually looks like fun.
this was amazing I rode it 3 times in a row
that looks like a nice place to go
If I ever go down to Universal Orlando, I am so going on this water ride!!!
Very interesting footage. Consider these the most intense slides there?
Water Slide Database These and the Ko'okiri body plunge which is just a straight 70 degree, 125 foot drop
Just went on the capsule in icon of the sea it's awesome
