I have a autoimmune disease also and I too feel sick and tired most of the time. The fatigue is often worse than the illness itself because it renders me physically immobile but my mind is all over the place, not a good combination at all. Although I wish none of us was going through what we’re facing it does help to know that I’m not alone in this. We’re not all down at the same time so we can draw strength from each other and that’s what I look forward to watching her videos and also in the comments. My thoughts are with you and I hope you have more good days than bad days.

Dear Romee, yes you are a mess. One big beautiful, cute, and gorgeous mess and we dearly love you. Please don't be so hard on yourself or try to explain a difficult day. We see things you may not be aware of, and I just want to say, "You go girl!". By the way, you look so cute in your hoodie. It definitely accents your pretty face, beautiful eyes, smile, and of course those lovely little cheeks. Please keep posting as there are so many who are with you. You are not alone. Best wishes sweet lady. Love ya, Rick

Dear sweet girl. So sorry that you are back in the hospital. I learned to crochet when I was 24 years old while I was going through my mother's illness and her death. I needed something to concentrate on other than that. That was almost four decades ago and crochet still helps me through "stuff". Glad you discovered it. Keep crocheting and we'll keep praying for you and sending positive thoughts your way. You really rock the short hair! Love and hugs from Texas, USA.

I have been watching your videos from the time you told all of us you had cancer up until this very day. I want you to know how much you mean to my heart. It warms my heart to see your hair growing and I think your hair looks so darling! I love your sweet genuine soul! I also love how honest you are! And girl! When you said you hadn’t brushed your teeth all day until your night time routine! I can relate and I think all of us can relate to that at some point in our lives. I love you I almost cried when I saw your darling hair coming back because I saw you with long hair I also saw you have to go balled and I want you to know how grateful I truly am for all you have done for me by sharing your story so openly with me and the world! You are brave, strong, tender, loving, and beautiful from the inside out. Thank you for being a bright light to all of us! XOXO 💗

You look absolutely beautiful with your cropped hair, it suits you so well! I understand perfectly what your saying about sleeping in late, i've had fibromyalgia for almost 25 years and i sleep in late very often. One thing i have learned through the years is to listen to your body, he's telling you that you need your rest to heal. Please don't be so hard on yourself, you are gorgeous, precious and so damn strong and your human too! You've been through so much and yet you still think about making other people feel good, you are wonderful Romee, don't you ever forget that. I'm sending you lots of love from Québec, Canada! 😘 ❤❤❤ 🇨🇦

We got diagnosed around the same time and always seem to go through some of the same things at the same time. All through cancer treatment i got up 730. Took care of my dogs, made coffee, a little something to ear, morning meds and so on. Staring a few weeks ago I started going back to sleep till 1030. My oncologist told me this due to some of the symptoms I was having sleeping in would make it better. It's helps. Our bodies are in overtime trying to repair. Sleep as late as you want.
Same with the water. I keep a cup by the sink and every time I go in kitchen I drink 8 ounces.

I love to crochet and I think it relaxes me and helps me forget out the things in life that stress me out (mostly work) because the counting of stitches is like how people say if you can’t fall asleep, count sheep, well crochet doesn’t make me fall asleep, but it relaxes me and helps me de-stress and it think it’s because of the counting :-)

Hi Romee!!! Thank you for sharing challenging parts of your life. Our lives are mirrored a bit even though I'm 67 and you're a young woman. I'm not being treated for cancer but I have lived with severe depression; symptoms began in my early 20's and got worse over the years, then general anxiety and a touch of OCD set in about 15 years ago, resulting in going on disability at age 55 on the recommendation of the Dr. who treated me for depression for 30+ years. I am single, an only child, no children, live alone. My 88 year old mother has been in memory care for a year due to dementia and my 90 year old step-father lives in their home alone with a little 10-year-old dog he rescued last year for company. He is more active than I!! I used to crochet & knit when I was a teenager, then began needlepoint in my early 20's. I've forgotten how to crochet & knit but want to start them again. It seems so comforting. The color you are using currently in your crocheting is so soothing.
Over the years I have read that one's home is a reflection of their mental state. I am just emerging from an almost 2-month depressive episode. During that time I went about four weeks without taking a shower. I've now showered twice to be able to go out in public when I absolutely need a few groceries and cat food and don't want to be ashamed. I still haven't washed my hair. It really needs to be cut. Do you order your head coverings online? I would love to get a few for my "bad hair days." Those who have never lived with mental illness nor with a loved one with such don't understand why we may look "healthy" ie. no outward physical issues, but it is an "invisible disease." I haven't changed the sheets on my bed for at least two months. I recently acquired a queen size bed and only have one set of sheets and have also not been able to face laundry so most of my wardrobe is piled up in the laundry room. Every dish/glass/utensils were dirty and in the sink for at least a month and I DO have a dishwasher but literally no energy to rinse the dishes and place them in.
Due to the illness causing isolation, I don't have any local friends and my mother was who I could always call when I was having a major anxiety attack and her calm, loving voice would calm me down. Now she is losing parts of her memory and, due to my illness, haven't seen her in two months - which makes me feel extremely guilty - that then leads to me feeling absolutely worthless. You are so right about how awful one can feel about themselves in this situation. I almost become paranoid when I don't step out of my apartment for days/weeks then, when I do and see the sun and people going about life, things look different.
I have a good relationship with my step-father but, again, during a depressive episode, even picking up the phone is "too much" and I live, almost cowering, in fear that if he calls I may hear bad news about my mother, him, or his little dog. His daughter died about four weeks ago. She has been very ill with end stage renal disease from diabetes for the last five years and on dialysis. She changed from going to a dialysis clinic 3x/week to daily dialysis at her home, which is a slightly different process. Depression causes time distortion for me so it seems she was, of course ill, but doing well recently then I received a call that she was in the ER, very ill and was to be admitted to Hospice. I felt good about that as I used to work for Hospice and knew they would get her pain under control and help her be more comfortable. I imagined maybe 4-6 months of her father, me, friends being able to visit but, instead, she died in the ER the day after she was admitted. It all seemed so fast!!! She and I are only several months apart in age and, since we were adults when our parents married and lived different lives and in different locations, in 46 years I only saw her twice until she moved to the town where my parents and I live after my mother was placed in memory care. I wish I could have gotten to know her better.
I can tell I'm feeling a bit better. I had been out of my medication so am back on that; took a shower two days ago to go out to get the meds and loaded/ran my dishwasher. My dark thoughts are easing up and I truly want to live my version of a "normal life" again. I knew I relied very heavily on my mother and since she's been ill, even prior to going to memory care, I feel like I'm living in a nightmare. The way you have faced your illness, Romee, encourages me. Thank you again for posting your journey - I'm sure it is a great help to those facing cancer but also to those of us who struggle with "invisible illnesses." God bless you and can't wait to see the first item you crochet!!!

Hola Romee!, I saw you for the first time two days after you told us about your cancer diagnosis. I have seen every single one of your videos, all of them. I love your attitude... When you are full of energy, when you are down, when you cry, when you have not brushed your teeth and you are wearing a dirty wig... Yes, always!!!. You look super cute with your new hair!. I am sorry you are in the hospital now. You were so happy about being back in your apartment... I cannot stop thinking what might have happened... Un beso enorme from Madrid! ( I know from your videos you are doing Spanish. Next time I will write a few lines in my language for you to practice!)

Romee when you do something and suddenly stop and stare at the camera, I just crack up!!! You made a noise with some dishes and did it 😂😂😂
I do not have cancer, but I do have chronic depression. I make myself make my bed as soon as I get out of it. I try to immediately brush teeth and shower. It really does help me mentally! I find that if I am ready (regardless the time of day) I am more likely to leave the house for whatever I think up. Leaving the house is very good for me. I turn on many lights in my house and leave on all day. It is more cheerful.
Your hobby is good! Make a throw size blanket for yourself or a friend ✔️ Check out that thing where you make a throw with real chunky yarn and use your fingers to do it??? Those chunky throws are popular in America 😉
    Be easier on yourself ♥️♥️
    Take care.

The world tells me things in the most bizarre ways so im asking everyone i know if they've been diagnosed with cancer but in lighter way. I fear the worst and why would TH-cam recommend videos like this to me otherwise? It's a sign. And i dont mean to come off rude! Things just hapoen like this for me. It's never clear. Its always signs and me figuring out what it is.
With that said im grateful TH-cam showed me such a beautiful soul. Your videos are so light hearted as enjoyable even the bad news ones.
Dont let it stop you from doing what you want to do. These videos are inspirational for the next person who's searching for answers and some hope.
I feel honored to have come across your channel. You are such a sweet driven person. I wish you nothing but the best in hope and healing.
I dont know what else to say except keep fighting like the woman you are and kick cancers butt! We're out here rooting for you. Keep smiling!
This has also made me want to make an appointment to see why one of my lymph nodes is permanently swollen and some days it hurts and others it's fine. Doc said wait and see if it goes down with antibiotics as i was fighting an infection for 3 months at the time but now its months later and still a knot. Im one who would rather not know but i have kids now so i have to though of course fear gets the best of me as always.
    😘😘😘😘😇😇😇😇🤗🤗🤗😉

Lady birds can bite, I usually let them crawl onto paper before putting them out the window 💖
My daughter is crocheting a temperature blanket 😀 you select several colours of wool and each colour represents a range of temperature say orange represents 20-30° so as you do a row each day you choose the colour wool that represents that temperature. There are tons of TH-cam videos about them. And if you miss a few days you can easily just carry on from where you left off by keeping a diary xxxx so sorry you ended back in hospital, thinking of you 🙏⚘ ps. I love the look of that dinner. I'm half Finnish and that sausage looks like makkara 😋

Romee, when my hair first started growing back, I didn’t like how I looked and avoided mirrors. People always said I looked good, but I was sure they were just being kind. Well, you really do look beautiful with your cropped hair… and I really mean it. I wonder if everyone feels uncomfortable with their appearance as their hair is growing. On a side note, my hair grew back really curly at first and looked nothing like it did before chemo. It took some time, but it’s pretty much back to normal. 😀

Oh wow, so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope you get to feeling better fast and get to go home soon. I know being in hospital is never a good time. Hopefully its nothing serious but something minor.
I was so happy to see that you have found and like crocheting, I have crocheted since I was a pre-teen and I am 62 now ugh feeling very old now. lol. I am not good at following crochet patterns but I make hot pads, throw blankets (good for curling up on the couch or in a big chair. I have also made bedspreads and baby blankets. I bet you would love some of the super soft yarns you can get they are so snuggly for blankets. Please show us your progress in your videos and its ok if you are not making anything, just relaxing with it is awesome. I used to find it destressing when I sat with my mom when she was doing chemo treatments hers took almost 7 hrs at a time 4 days a wk. So I had alot of destressing to do. She used to take her snuggle blanket (as she called it) with us and she would wrap up in it for her long nap during her treatments.
You got this ....Just remember keep a positive outlook as that effects your physical outcomes (or at least I believe it does)... See you soon, take care.
