  • We finally get our engine breakdown fixed and get out of Sitka. We have some great sailing in the Gulf of Alaska, have some of the best fishing of our trip, and leave Alaska returning to BC.

Hi, thanks so much, appreciate it. Our boat is a 1986 Truant 37' sailboat.

Keep trying you might get one big enough to keep some day! If that was a buzz bomb just don't try any thing bigger because a two or three hundred pounder will brake that rod and there goes all your line. Were you anchored where you caught them? How deep was that?

haha, ya, not a bad problem to have hey. Ya we anchored in that little bay and I just started jigging for fun and caught em right there off the sailboat, we were anchored in about 40 feet of water. That bay was crazy full of life.
