Desert Whale in Africa 2024

Luckily I managed to go on another of my legendary a desert trips again. This time quite early, from end of April to middle of May. In the first week the weather was surprisingly very cold and windy,
and after that it got quite hot all of the sudden.
This year I went even deeper into some empty areas in the east part of Morocco. Going over the huge "Plateau du Reccam",
and then from the salty plain "Schott Tigri" to
"Ich", an oasis near the Algerian border.
Heading through a lot of dirt roads into the "High Atlas"
visiting "Lac Isli" and going over the highest mountain pass "Tizi N ' Aït Hamad" with 3005m. I went back over the Middle Atlas to Nador, and took the night ferry from Melilla to Motril.
The total distance of 2740Km were made in 14 days.
I enjoyed every second of it,
and I hope this film will be able to reflect that to you in many ways.
I wrote down many of my thoughts during the trip,
and it might give you a glimpse of how mind blowing and changing such a journey can be!
