    The Mikov Predator spring knife is a covet-worthy automatic knife that is made in the Czech Republic and features an elegant build. The Mikov series is well-regarded for their "ready to work" no nonsense design. Rivet construction. The knife is opened using the small lever near the top of the knife. The lever rests flush in the handle when not in use and acts as a safety when folded down.

    Switchblades were just legalised about a year ago in my state (Michigan). Sadly the laws are still vague about whether I can carry it. Just bought this knife from your store!

    I live in Nevada, I'm pretty sure July 1st "switchblades" will be legal, can anyone confirm this?

    I just received one from BladeHQ, today. It’s the black ABS Predator version with pocket clip. The leverlock actuator doesn’t snap all the way back flush when you close the blade as I’ve noticed in other older videos. Are the new ones this way?

      Mine rests at half-way after I close the blade. I fold it down the rest of the way with my thumb. I figured that's the design. Not sure. Either way, I love mine. One of my best knife purchases ever. In a day of hype, exotic steels, etc. this thing is just a gorgeous workhorse of a knife.

    Quite a few competitive options at that price point that are miles better than 420. Neat design, especially the multi tool version, but if I'm going for an auto for around $100 right now, it'd have to be one of the new Kershaws.

      @VinEllis 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Xavier Yeah, but do Kershaws come in dark horn and look this classy? This is more of a gentleman's knife.

      +Vin Ellis For something like this I think it's all about what your money's worth to you. I'm not personally all that into the whole gentlemen's knife thing, but if that's what you like then yeah, this is going to fit the bill much better.

      Xavier It's a really nice knife either way.

      +Xavier You can also get them in RWL-34 which is ridiculously good steel.

      Springs break. It really is not that good of a knife.

    • @Bamblagram
      @Bamblagram 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it’s not that great of a knife lol. It’s a cool budget knife absolutely but there’s an ocean of knives that are far better than this, for not too much more in price either.

      @@JONNYCABANIThe spring is easily replaceable on Mikov autos. They actually have 2 springs, just-in-case one breaks or fails, it can still open with only 1 working (not as quickly though). The Mikov company sells replacement leaf springs for just a few dollars per pair. You can easily remove or replace them, without needing to disassemble the knife at all. These really are very good, durable, quality autos built using the old world kick-spring and pins type design. Compared to even the nicest Italian Stiletto the Mikov is better and tougher. The only other old-school knife that rivals it would have to be the older custom Buck 110 auto-conversions (depending who did the conversion). Not the new coil-spring Auto-Buck 110, but specifically the old leaf spring versions.

    IF (when?) the spring breaks, are they available through your shoppe?
    VERY tempting to get the yellow or OD Green ...🤔

    The lever/button is a bit wiggly on mine is that normal? The blade has slight movement too

      Blade play is terrible with these. The Lock up, not too trust worthy. Being riveted, luck of the draw on how much play and deployment speed.

    • @simfer_6782

      Very small blade play is normal on these knives

    Mikov Predator or Frank B Black Tactical?

      The Mikov by a mile. The Frank B black tactical is literally garbage. I own both and it's no contest.

    If you are left handed just write to the company and they will send you a version with the deployment mechanism on the other side.
