Thanks for the video I was able to replace my fog light thanks to this video I got my new fog bulb from O Riley’s auto parts and it was H8 Sylvania made in Germany $19.07 total cost I removed the 3 t25 screws and swapped out the bulbs bam fixed went to put the screws back I only had trouble lining up the last screw closer to the ground took a few extra mins but I got it! Thank again for this video
Took me about 10 minutes total to change mine out that's also with the time grabbing my tools. 2 minutes just switching the bulb! (Sylvania bulb H8 12V)(T20) 2018 Tiguan 2.0T Thanks guys for your help ❤️❤️
Thanks guys! I was going about it all wrong until I watched this video. It took longer to back out the three screws per side than it did to change the bulbs.
Thank you for the tutorial. No idea why VW decided on H8 vs H11. H11 bulbs are a dime a dozen. Update: this took me 45 minutes to do because it's 25 degrees outside (-5c) and the plastic's stiff as a board. Used pry tools to move the fender liner and a flathead to disconnect the bulb
I drive a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan, If there is any sort of help I need doing something to my car I will reach out to these guys. Thank you for the video helped me fix my fog light
It’s because these Tiguans have cornering lights. When you turn the wheel to the right, the right fog light will come on. Dido if you turn to the left.
Do all 2018/2019 Tiguans with fog lights have the cornering light feature? Looking to trade in my 2016 Sportwagen for a 2018/2019 Tiguan and I'd hate to lose those cornering lights in the Sportwagen but I can't find any definitive info regarding the Tiguans.
@@markeike I just moved from a 2016 Limited Edition Sportwagen to a 2020 Tiguan SE R-Line Black. So happy with the deceision! It does have the cornering lights too.
I want to re-emphasize this. 2018 tiguan fog lights turn on as you turn the wheel (meaning if you turn the wheel to the right, the right fog lights up and the left one stays off..etc) got me confused because one of my fog lights was off without a dash warning and I replaced it only to find out as I was changing it that the car does it!
As far as we know you would not need to clear any codes if you upgraded your fog lights but if you do please let us know as we are curious too! Thank you for your support!
Guys... those bulbs can and should be changed from the front. You need only 5 Minutes to do that. Just read the manual that VW provides with every car... Absolutely no need to go in from the wheelhouse
You missed 4motion lol. I hate these fog lights, second time mine has gone out. 1st time was 2 days after leaving the dealership with the new car lol. Germans make great cars, they just can't wire shit for the life of them...
American VW or shall I say MEXICAN MADE VW!!!! These cars and I own a Tiguan SE R Line but it’s a lease, are pure GARBAGE!!! 187 HP snails that have issues! I’ve had to add coolant 2 times already and my lease isn’t up yet. Why’s that happening when there is NO LEAK! Cause it’s getting sucked into the engine when it’s not supposed to. I feel so sorry for the person that’s going to buy it after I return it.

We are sorry that we caused confusion.

nice video!
Thank you for your support! If you liked that one we have a video on a Miata as well!
No swearing or frightened loved ones!
How many takes?
What wheels do you have?
Those are the factory wheels for the Tiguan SEL R-Line.
Fog lamp BULB replacement, not “fog light replacement” (which would suggest replacement of the lamp assembly).
Thank you for your suggestion!
Fucking semantics....
Hi what’s the part number for the fog light? Thank you
I do believe it is 5NL941699 on the vw part network.

How do I get the video to play?
That sounds like a question for TH-cam support, sorry we are unable to help.
turn your wheel for easier access.... thanks guys

That is terrible to hear that your lights went out that many times!
