I mean, Taylor is a living proof of her parents’ great child-raising skills but the way they were so polite and kept thanking and welcoming each other in the beginning just shows that Taylor and Austin were trained to be nice and polite.
I agree. There’s a video of Taylor and Andrea watching the announcements for the nominees of the CMA Awards the year Fearless came out. And the thing that struck me the most was that they both clapped their hands for the other nominees before Taylor’s name was announced, even though they were just sitting on Andrea’s bed watching it on TV. This told me that their respect for other people is absolutely genuine, and not just some pose. As you said, that’s great parenting.

There's no chance of falling out of love with Taylor if you have ever listened to songs like this. People will never understand that before the catchy pop songs, (not that they are bad) there are meaningful and heartfelt songs from Taylor which speaks to a whole generation.
This was from my generation. This was my favorite song when I was no older than 10. I loved her older music so much, I still do. her newer stuff isn't bad, it's just not my type of music now-a-days (which, old Taylor isn't either now-a-days) But this era was always my favorite.
I can't listen to this song without crying as my dad is gone now. He taught me about the trees and why the leaves change in the fall. At 13 I was horribly bullied, no one talked to me at school. I have his eyes, he gave me a pretty house to live in and always told me how beautiful I was. I didn't know it then that those were the best days and I would give anything for just a couple minutes with him. Go call your mom or dad, tell them you love them every time you hang up on leave because you just never know it may be the last time. I never knew that last time I said I love you and waved goodbye that it would be the last time.

I just discovered this song, so I must not be a true Swiftie. I always liked some of her early songs, but this one. Like a few others here, I am an old dude whose tastes run more to classic rock and pop, plus being pretty stoic, but this song... I lost both my parents in the same week in 2021. They gave me the best days too. There are lots of songs about young love and heartbreak, but there is nothing that remotely approaches the feeling of safety and love and comfort a parent can give a young child. My dad carrying me in half asleep from the drive in theater. My mom letting me crawl into bed when I had a bad dream. Thanks for capturing this and the wonder and joy the eyes of a young child sees in the world. I have a chance to be a parent a second time around with my grandson. He looks at me with the love and wonder I hear in this song sometimes. Best thing in the world.

I just wanted to share how much I can relate to this song and to Taylor`s pain regarding her mother´s cancer. My mom has cancer and is about to die in a few days or weeks. There is absolutely nothing the doctors can do to help and she is suffering a lot. My mom has always been extremely kind and strong, and she has always done everything in her power to help me and my sisters to have the best life possible. She also helped me when my friends started to become mean to me when I was 13... Just as Taylor I have a loving and supporting family and even though my mom won´t make it I really hope that Mama Swift does! Stay strong!

This was from my generation. This was my favorite song when I was no older than 10. I loved her older music so much, I still do. her newer stuff isn't bad, it's just not my type of music now-a-days (which, old Taylor isn't either now-a-days) But this era was always my favorite.

I can't listen to this song without crying as my dad is gone now. He taught me about the trees and why the leaves change in the fall. At 13 I was horribly bullied, no one talked to me at school. I have his eyes, he gave me a pretty house to live in and always told me how beautiful I was. I didn't know it then that those were the best days and I would give anything for just a couple minutes with him. Go call your mom or dad, tell them you love them every time you hang up on leave because you just never know it may be the last time. I never knew that last time I said I love you and waved goodbye that it would be the last time.

I lost both my parents in the same week in 2021. They gave me the best days too. There are lots of songs about young love and heartbreak, but there is nothing that remotely approaches the feeling of safety and love and comfort a parent can give a young child. My dad carrying me in half asleep from the drive in theater. My mom letting me crawl into bed when I had a bad dream. Thanks for capturing this and the wonder and joy the eyes of a young child sees in the world.
I have a chance to be a parent a second time around with my grandson. He looks at me with the love and wonder I hear in this song sometimes. Best thing in the world.

I just wanted to share how much I can relate to this song and to Taylor`s pain regarding her mother´s cancer.
My mom has cancer and is about to die in a few days or weeks. There is absolutely nothing the doctors can do to help and she is suffering a lot.
My mom has always been extremely kind and strong, and she has always done everything in her power to help me and my sisters to have the best life possible. She also helped me when my friends started to become mean to me when I was 13...
Just as Taylor I have a loving and supporting family and even though my mom won´t make it I really hope that Mama Swift does!
