  • I take the 2022 Street Bob for ride and give my thoughts as they come to me. Not factual, mostly just my opinion, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
    I discuss the pros and cons of the Street Bob and identify who would get the most use out of the Street Bob. I talk about what's changed over the recent years.
    Enjoy, and drop a like if you enjoy the video.

    120-150 miles is a good stopping point when riding. Speaking for myself, it is at about that time that I begin to mentally checkout, and a quick break is needed anyway. Not every trip needs to qualify for an Iron-butt award.

    Just picked up a gauntlet gray ‘22 this past Friday and I love it. Coming from a sportster 48, it’s a massive upgrade. It’s funny that I’m actually stoked about having a 3.5 gallon tank. No more filling up every 55 miles lmao

    I have to disagree, taking this bike on long distance isn't much difference in parts, I changed the seat and added engine guards. Made my 1,300 mile ride enjoyable. The minimalistic dash makes it perfect to see the road and sights the world has to offer.

    • @thehdguy378
      @thehdguy378  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like I said, you CAN do it. It’s just not the bike I’d choose for longer trips. I have a softail as well and I plan on doing longer trips but I couldn’t imagine a 3.5 gallon tank with the way I ride. I’d be stopping every 100 miles.

    • @silkycherry

    I’d have to disagree with the whole BAR HOPPER category, I was told the same thing about my Indian scout and let me tell u with a small tank I traveled a lot more on my Indian then I did with my Electra glide . I don’t mind stopping every 100 miles for a quick fill up gives me time stretch my feet grab a drink of water lol I’ve met people who traveled on sportsters with the peanut tanks it’s just about making stops for gas

    • @thehdguy378
      @thehdguy378  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely agree. You CAN travel long distances on a Streetbob or any other small bike. You can go to Alaska on a scooter. It’s just whether or not it’s the best bike for the job. In this case (in my opinion) I don’t think it’s the best bike for the job.

      Agree. First time across country was on a 1200 sportster and that was before cellphones. The rider expectations have changed significantly. I traded my 2020 Road King in a 2022 Street Bob and I ride it daily and would have no issues going 300 miles daily on a trip. Stop to fuel every 125-150 miles and relax. It’s the ride that matters. Don’t need a radio or speaker just th road and on the street Bob you can almost reach down and touch it. Some people just waste good iron.

    • @Califunk
      @Califunk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@antoniobrowning1385 same I traded in my 2010 Electra glide for the 2022 street bob. People tend to think these bikes can’t do cross country rides. It’s not about ow big my tank is the part about riding is the adventure so a few extra stops for gas is nothing to me in my eyes it’s just part of riding

    Another great video, Chad. I 'bout shit the bed with your commentary over the GoldenDoodle haha. So I've got the '21 in Baja Orange and, like you, love the looks of the spokes but want mags. I'm the original owner and have put almost 7500 miles on it. Most of the aftermarket mags I've found are ridonkulously expensive, and I'm wondering if I can have my dealership put the new H-D mags on it when it's time to get new tires (damn..that was a run-on sentence from Hell...sorry). I'd like to get those Annihilators put on, and would even consider doing the chrome ones that come on the Softail. Is that something H-D can do? Thanks again for the awesome reviews, man! 🤘✌
