Was a really well played turn around, eldar mobility meeting the immovable object. The lack of warp spider hero really cost them late game when their melee game could have teleported in to target the slower moving chaos heavy units. With out the teleport, late eldar melee simply dont have the staying power to run in, get the job done and run out. For chaos xenomorph did his job, his team pointed him out but he still was a level 10 plague champion by the end. Couldn't keep a unit alive or read a map but bopping things with fist he did just fine.
lack of spiders in general. the most effective option eldar have vs plague marines are spiders and those two squads were a constant thorn in their side
Yikes. Multiple times Eldar lost units to retreat pathing going astray. Two Eldritch Storms hit that GUO and did nothing to it. Eldritch cannot kill a single shrine ='D Poor Eldar.
I enjoyed this but Galahad throws everything away for naught as usual. Surprised there was no notorious rage quit. Glad some of the changes are coming such as the minor speed nerf on CL tics.
Dawn of pathing strikes again. 3 or 4 eldar units wiping due to bad pathing (not the only reason though). Seems like the Nurgle strategy was superior to eldar trickery this time.
So saint throwing away all his units away was good for a red team, but wtf chaos nuke whip out half Saint army eldar nuke was not able to kill shrine and heretic tier 1 unit.
You are in luck if Eldritch storm gets a single tank (a small one, like leman Russ or Predator). Compared to other nukes, it's slow to come out and does very little damage.
@georgetheodoratos1397 I see how disabling vehicles allows for some synergy and exploitation. But not only does that only apply to vehicles (DoW 2 is very infantry-centric), can a nuke that causes so little damage even be called a nuke? For 500 red, you'd be forgiven for expecting more oomph.
@@v8enginepower201 Dawn of war 2 is infantry centric. But vehicles are tide changers. Being able to disable most of the end game units of most factions is absolutely game changing if used properl(as all nukes). Besides you forget that it is a very easy to hit nuke. Compare that to orbital bormbardment and Tyranoformation for examlple.Nids basically dont have a nuke altogether and the orbital requiers extreme amounts of setup unlike Rockz , emp. abyss or the nuke we are discussing.
You are only required to buy DoW2 Retribution for multiplayer. Other games/DLCs are not needed. In addition, Elite Mod is required but it is a free mod. All replays casted in this channel are from DoW2 Retribution + Elite Mod. Retribution is the second and the last expansion of DOW2. Retribution is a standalone expansion that does not require other games for it to work. Players created Elite Mod as patch support for Retribution stopped in 2012. For this reason, Elite Mod is also needed for playing multiplayer as unmodded Retribution is largely abandoned aside from single play purposes. Same can be said about Original DOW2 and Chaos Rising the first expansion. They are bought to enjoy single player content only. Elite Mod’s main function is the balance patch support for high level 1v1 scene. However, in addition, it adds some new content too. You should learn that when you struggle to keep units you need better teamplay. Which xeno did. He covered and was covered extremely well mid game onwards. Covering retreats and giving respite with his PC.
Terminators make the game again. I'm sorry but I thought that no single unit should have it all. Mobility (teleport), massive Health pool, massive ranged damage (storm bolter already great, autocannon even better), massive melee damage (specially with talons), able to get all sorts of infantry buffs from commanders and global abilities, not capped to a single squad, not expensive enough to make recouping model losses difficult (Not that it matters since they rarely die anyway). Not being able to retreat does not even matter most of the time. I assume the mod team will leave it as is, but I'd be glad if the curtailed all of that a little.
Termis are highly vunerable to infantry snares and considering that the farseer has access to a few abilities that can slow or lock them in place. And its disingenuous to say that terminators made the game, Eldar quite literally threw the game with the first avatar being thrown into Red's base and Sir Galahad getting his entire army wiped out twice.
@samuelvo6653 Oh, Eldar did throw the game. No denying that. I pointed out all those things just to highlight that terminators do, in fact, have all of them in and of themselves. I'm sure they can be countered and are not exactly cheap, but watching many matches in this very chanel one notices often it only takes a couple of termie squads overwhelm anyone who doesn't have them.
@@v8enginepower201 Same can be said about nobs, seer council, carnifexes, or guard super heavies. All the factions have t3 hurt everything units with clear and obvious specific counters which you'll need to have or auto lose. I'd say the IG superheavies are the easiest to hardcounter since they don't really have an answer to eldritch storm and termies are the second easiest to hard counter since you can mind control and teleport them into an unwinnnable situation with little to no counterplay. The warlocks were probably the least optimal choice here vs chaos as gravity blade/time field or antigrav grenade/web spinner both are better ways to force the teleport then hardcounter termies. Doom/mindwar would have also been a good option to shut down that plague marine and gravity blade/seer council can turn lightning claw termies hard countering the council 180degrees around to the council bullying the termies.
26:33 "Those lightning claws heretics are there" First time in 30 years The Lost and the Damned got something nice.

Xenomorph made up for his mistakes by being a gigachad on the Plague Champion
That Chaos team was suitably chaotic, lol
100%. Ame being in-character for the chaos lord, angry and impulsive. Xeno slow like Nurgle wants to, and Todd being Todd.
Ame is a cheeky little bastard, didn't even see any tanks or walkers but goes x2 Plague Marines just because of how good they are vs eldar.
really like the team chats reflecting the factions they are playing😂
News dropped that Relic went independent. Hopefully we can see some remasters down the line.
Nice but do they own right for DoW or Sega ?
@SordidusFellatio There is a mod named Forgotten Emerald that expands The Last Stand by a lot.
