    Good evening from Tennessee. Thank you for this clutch video! I hope you don't mind my ignorance, but I have a question regarding the steel plates for the clutch on my 2001 Vulcan 1500 Classic FI. Finally got around to tearing it down and getting ready to order parts. The steel plates (7) are listed as 1.6, 2.0, or 2.3 which is best...whats benefits one over the other? I am also ordering the MS Spring. Thank you for the time...want to order the correct parts.

    Hi there.
    I am running into an issue with my limiter starter torque. I have the supplies to change it but am scared to tear it down. Have you ever had to replace this before? If so how difficult was it? Thanks in advance!

    Just new here and have a quick question, do you need to put in clutch gripping additive in the oil for the clutches?

    hello good night friend, I would like to know, if you could help me, I have a kawazaki vulcan 1500cc 1992 I bought the bike some time ago, and it came with a problem, that when I accelerate it in first gear, it slips out of gear , but it's like she escapes and engages again, and as if I had very quickly, I had pulled the clutch lever and released it in seconds, but this without having lost the clutch

    • @TheOldMechanic

    Why take the nut off if just changing the fiber plates? The plate will come off still exposing fiber plates no?

    • @TheOldMechanic
      @TheOldMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Snatch,The nut has to come off as the frictionplates are behind the clutch spring plate, and the clutch spring.

  • @josephgomez8033
    @josephgomez8033 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Someone help can’t get that hub nut off even with a impact wrench 🤦‍♂️

    • @BadVirgil
      @BadVirgil 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe use a brake cleaner or carb cleaner to clean the nut then use a loose nut.sit for 5 minutes and try again. If it not working, put in first gear and try with an extended drive bar. Probably it Will try to turn over but there is a Bolt you can look on between thèse 2 gear at the right.
      Good luck!

      @@TheOldMechanic I replaced the gasket with one from online it is almost exactly the same only difference is the material it’s made of… I have another I might just take it off an redo it a second time
