Thank you Jackson State for getting it right .. i havent seen this much intensity coming from a hbcu college band in a very long time .. its been over a decade since a band gave me what i really look for .. outstanding showmanship, staying true to identity and tradition, sophisticated arrangement, with the knock out blow at the end.. southern used to be my favorite but boy, the tables have turned. From top to bottom, J State brought that HEAT .. they took no prisoners. J State came to California and handled business. They understood the assignment. J State represented HBCU'S very well.. when a HBCU band in on the scene, the PWI's better watch out and be on notice .. because a HBCU band will take over the show, anytime, anyplace, anywhere .. thank you Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South .. coming from a Norfolk State/Virginia State Music Education Student.. shout out to J State all the way from Virginia
