That's an incredible production of a video of a random topic. I'd love for you to explain the process you take to produce such a video. How long does it take you, how much money it costs CNBC to produce, what tools you use and how is it even profitable to create such videos?
Hey Adrian. Glad you like it. CNBC International's digital video team produces these videos on a weekly basis, as well as our other series CNBC Reports - so the cost is built into the newsroom. We use Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects to create them.
It's profitable because they make money off ads and they stay relevant. Cable viewership is declining and online streaming is going up. They're profitable just by being on the biggest online video platform.

As a good Uber driver with a high rating, Uber offered me to invest before an IPO. The problem is, I think I need a lot money to strike it rich. I assume most drivers don't have a lot of money either.

There's a new thing going on known as asset backed ICO its rumoured that it might give a shock to underwriters as ICOs are unregulated and if they are asset backed they are just like stocks but not listed and in form of digital coins.
Would like to see a video on that if possible. Cheers 🍻

ipo (primary market) is not related to nasdaq (secondary market) as in the background image at 0:31. Check this confusion:)

Or people could take initiative and learn it themselves.
How is the share price determined and how many shares are generally issued
Example you buy a 20 million dollars motel. Than if you issue 20 million shares therefore the share is $1.00 but maybe you have 20 rich friends that want to buy in so you sell each friend or business partner 1 share each therefore each share is worth 1 million dollars each. So it really the book value of the business divided by the number of share issued. The $1 share is easier to sell to another friend but this is why we have IPO so easy to find buyer at the stock exchange. But if you have share values at 1 million dollars each no easy to find buyer. These are extremes but the maths the same. $20 million x $1 share equals $20 million motel or $1 million per share equals the same $20 million motel. Or you really could have 1 cent shares just 2000 million cents still the motel or company the same value
It would be nice if consumers bought lots of shares if company's they liked and then voted for whoever they thought would run the company the best
