@@Boltzter open trapdoors in front of the lowest portal block (It basically forms a wall between the portal and the boat) you'll have to push them down into place

1. why? In 2 dim farm you dont care about the other side of the farm and boats are just add to the lag. 2. Smite doesnt apply to armour stand since its not undead mob and the only benefit you get is from sharpness since the damage bonus applies to the armour stand and then carries on with the sweeping.
@@EmdyMC Even then its not really useful but eh, seems like something that would just add up to the lag since boats go crazy also you completely failed to get that point through as you showed only nether setup that ended up in OW
@@Ajvej The boat lag is actually minimal, less than 1ms in my experience. It's the 15 seconds worth of mobs in the portal elevator that are most laggy. That does require careful design to minimize lag.
If you are familiar with singleplayer 2 dim mob farms that send mobs back to the dimension they spawn so the player can kill them then you know that for the time they come through the portal to the time they die they count to the cap, this practically removes that cap hogging
The boats are not all that laggy, less than 1ms in my experience. Boat looting farms can be laggy, but the lag primarily comes from all the mobs in the portal elevator, since you need to give them 15 seconds for portal cooldown. In a very fast farm that can be several hundred, so designing an elevator that minimizes collisions and pathfinding is important. If you prefer to sacrifice single player operation for lag efficiency, that is a choice you can make.
im using this design for a wither skeleton and blaze farm. i have problems with the snow melting from the blaze in the boat? have y'all foun any alternative design that don't use snow? still a really good and effective design, thank you so much! appreciate it!
You should be out of sight of the blaze, they only melt when they are aggroed on you hence why I lowered the player down instead of keeping the player at armour stand level. Could you send a video of it happening on the discord because it sounds odd to me
I built a wother skeleton farm using this design I have a problem where about 5-10 wither skeletons seem to be stuck at both sides of the portal, not entering any boats I have checked that i have enough boats, does anyone know what the problem might be?

My boats are appearing left-to-right instead of front-to-back. It's messing up my collection system (items fall on boat instead of into the powdered snow). I can't figure out why they're doing this. T-T Playing on 1.20.2

Is there any alternatives for ths design for 1.16 cuz i got a low end pc and the only version that works properly there is 1.16.5 and 1.17 lags too badly
@@EmdyMC why is that? im thinking for donut gold farms for example with looting (for more gold if afk xp is not priority), you dont have the big fall, so boat looting would take mobs out of cap faster? (bc no 1 hit kill) dashpums design and other portal based dont work for me on SMP servers far from others, and gnembon and other designs need spawn proofing which im not ready for. what would such a 1D boat looting set up look like? or is it not worth it? i imagine 2-3 swipes to get looting 3 effect would increase life time of pigman by a significant amount and BL could be useful
or because the witches' flux would not be enough to fill the mobcap?, im considering try to do sliced portals to increase to the max the flow of witches, and also make a perimeter
@vicentedaniel2509 they do but witch hut bounding boxes are so small and spawn rates are so low that you'd almost never reach the cap from a single hut
Kind of, replace the 4 powder snow that are in line with the obsidian sides of the portal with glass blocks that you can push in with pistons then for the central 2x2 you can have top trapdoors instead of the powder snow, again you need to push them in with pistons

WOW what a concept to find. this will revolutionize many different farms. With just 20 boats, you've effective increased the mob cap from 70 to 110.
nice to see u using boat tech too, I personally advocate for its hard hitbox more than its mob cap capabilities though

This is used for 2 dim farms where the mobs are sent back, smite was an error on my part, forgot about that.

Orientation shouldn't affect item drops, are you using rafts instead of boats?

Do too much amount amount of boats induce cramming? I set 26*2 boats and mobs die automatically.
Yes more than 23 boats a stack will induce automatic killing via entity cramming

Why need Armor Stand?
I have a problem, when I drop the boats, these are in the wrong direction, rotated not facing to the portal, what could be the problem?
Place the dispenser facing sideways instead of up into the waterlogged block

there is no use in them removing things from the mob cap in a 2 dim farm
There is when you send them back to the same dimension they spawn in (singleplayer 2 dimensional mob farms)

also the stacked boats make it marginally less laggy then just the mobs pushing eachother out of a portal
We're stopping them from counting to the cap, it's not about killing them quickly
