  • ** Just an every morning routine, we fuel and greese up.
    We actually don't use all the fuel we bring with us, but it's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Prb only burn around 1000gal/day give or take a few hundred gal.. that's pretty good! 🙂
    ** Thanks for following me around guys, I really appreciate it 🙂
    *** Follow me on Patreon for live and real time updates, plus there's some exclusive videos just for the $5 and up that I post for yeah! As well as Lenses and photos of what's going on during the day.
    Also Ashtyn and I are in the beginning stages of sampling merchandise which is also on Patreon.

    Now I understand why the combines are so nicely lined up all the time. Makes the fuelling and servicing much easier. Sure looks impressive seeing all that big machinery side by side.

    We started to do fueling and greasing for some machines in the evening and for some machines in the morning to spread out the standing around and doing nothing while waiting in the line to the tank time. Also getting to get in the combine or tractor in fresh clothes that aren't filled with chaff is a plus.

    I like the idea where farmers take a leaf blower to the combine at the end of the day so the unit is virtually “Dust Free” in the morning for servicing. Dealing with the dust at day”s end means the nightly shower takes care of the itch situation so you hopefully stay clean for most of the day🚿

    • @mikemitchell2554
      @mikemitchell2554  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That's true, save the cost of leaf blowers with on board air that the combine supplies. Believe it or not, leaf blowers, battery operated greese gun and such don't have a long life span on the farm, just one more thing to get run over or planted 😂.. So we wave that cost by using the Fendts air, and cheaper guns. Exept Susy... She's mine.. She basically gets tucked in every night and the guys don't dare borrow her.. Only Ashtyn can 😂

    • @gavinperry7237
      @gavinperry7237 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Mitchell I like “Gas Powered Leaf Blowers” for AWESOME POWER & portability but when I help out some farmers are specific to which leaf blower they prefer so don’t use “Leaf Blower A” on combine D or visa versa. They are a little noisy but you can blow off the entire combine in NO TIME💨💨💨 Possibly “Mother Nature” is your best leaf blower🤣😂

    • @gavinperry7237
      @gavinperry7237 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike Mitchell I am assuming the combine has to be running to get the best volume of air flow from the air hoses which can not be as safe when trying to clean out all the spots hidden by shields etc. Extra hours are also run up on the engines by using the on board air compressors during the service routine 💵💰

    Howdy, just throw a shop towel around your nozzle then you don't get all that chaff in there! Also, I was watching your seeding video trying to go up the monster hills. To get some good practice for shoveling bags when it's moldy just shovel the hill down to the bottom of the hill and then it'll be flat! And you'll be in great shape.

    At 3:30 with the gearbox oil dipstick; is there enough room to use a pair of pliers to pull that up, and out of that dumb spot? $799, 998.97 combine, and you have to lose skin off your
    knuckles to check oil?

    Hey mike . Enjoying your videos!! I’m curious how your farm splits up machinery purchases among the family? Does the farm buy equipment or do your brothers and you buy it separately?

    I know you may need more HP on your trucks but is it allowed to run triple trailers there?
