      Nice one. But if "we" only at least look at anything anymore. Other than the same old bs or emerged in a iphone or ipad. "I, pad!" Who needs family ("I have friends, you know?" And they all just happen to have iphones and ipads. Obviously we are all keen spirits and friends for life with uncondicional love"... or an active mentaly truly awake matured common sense based society, "we have 35 new apps to "explore" this week ;), while wefatten the wise guys offshores that sell us these pearls of evolutionary behavior that will solve the worls problems, now that we are all using them the wright way". Yes, as usual, we are. I would like to remind any twert here an unfortunately life fact: we are supposed to be the most evolved yet the only species capable of ruin it´s own ecossistema, at the same time (unless we have something to say about it!) and does it with a smile. And an ipad. Up to date. I can now know exactly what temperature and moisture will be in my micro clima today and swiftly choose wich nocked off brand coat I use from my coat brand nockoff closet". Meanwhile in the fraction of secs it took for the app to make that choice for me 50 children died for lack of a luxury called basic nutrition... it´s a new thing, we´re trying it out here by providing excesso abundance of 100% nutrient deprived "food".Peachy.- Me? I just want to know where´s the nearest bar or, much more preferable, the nearest pro-cannabis doctor and nearest dispensary. There is no other way out... "they" are all long due overcrazycized. There is no remedy, just give me my medicine. I managed to self medicate myself and escape from any exterior effort to make me another puppet under those white-coats dealers called doctors in the so called free market "health sistem" selling "treatment". They wont catch me there for any small thing and I´m afraid I will take the "easy" way out when finally my imune sistem goes overdrive beserk and they blame it on my "habits". Because ending up with no option than eat poisen, breed co2 -news break, we are not trees- and be bombarded with all kinds of artificial created radiation(that would be a nice change to hear on the news), was everyones choice... Oops! Wait... It actually is our choice!, Go figure!! WTF went wrong?Carlin and Bill Hicks, two of my very few true heroes. Brains AND balls. Hicks though took it too extremely and instead of filling theatres in the US like did in the UK it flew right to the Sun... true hero, but ended up depriving the world of something it needs baddly: a true joker. Passed by at the speed of light that one... same heart, diferente career strategy choice than Carlin. We loose. sorry, got carried away. Happy new more than already pre-fucked up year! ;)

      I bought a ticket to see him here in Atlanta in 08... he didn't make it :[. Fucking ticket master didn't give anybody who bought one a refund, their reasoning was that it wasn't their fault. Apparently we should have instinctively known he was about to have a sudden heart attack. They still bumped up the next act in line to play the venue that night though & adjusted the schedule to line up more acts & sell more tickets. It was the first, & sadly, the last time, I had a chance to see him in person in my state. It really brought my piss to a boil, Fuck ticket master!

      What about Joan Rivers? No one gave less of a shit about what was said than she. She was the only one who joked about those who are considered absolutely off-limits. Even carlin never made jokes about these few for which such was so forbidden. I’m not saying that George didn’t say things That went against the grain of The establishment and powers that be. That, he certainly did. Especially in the later years. Like Bill Hicks, Who also wasn’t one too necessarily stay on the reservation within the boundaries of what was permitted. This is what got all three of them killed.

    "Guys and Dolls." George Carlin was advocating gender equality long before it became "cool." And if he was alive today, he would be making fun of _[politicized discussions of]_ the Me Too movement just as much as he made fun of male shortcomings in this book. He always was great at recognizing the flaws in both sides of every argument.

What I meant (and should have said) is that he'd be making fun of some of the dumb conversations and misrepresentations that sometimes come up, not the movement itself. I think it's just fascinating how comedians can remember so much without skipping a Beat like George Carlin or any other with a quick wit. It's funny how I always go to George Carlin and the old comedians for a good laugh. His cynical nature was is a big part of why I like him as a comedian. He didn't worry about ripping on society or the backlash he might receive. At least I got to see him perform live multiple times while he was alive. His Alive show Compares to nothing the pre-recorded and audios of him.

    He was the modern Mark Twain

    • @thezeptetis5087
      @thezeptetis5087 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He was the Joker. These original came in two distinct forms, Jokers and satiric Trovadores. Dylan was a Trovador, a joker. Carlin or Hicks were Jokers, and I´m not talking party clowns. ;) A party clown is a jay lenno. Humongous diference. Mark Twain was a writer pulling a mirror in front of people in society, hence, a joker.

    New evidence has now come to light recently stating the brothers were abused by their parents unless- they are now due to be resentenced… very ahead of his time
