Years ago before Russia's unending war on Ukraine I went to Kiev Ukraine and had the time of my life. Their food is extremely close to American Soul food. Every meal was like a picnic buffet and the only thing I started to miss was southern style fried chicken. When I retire if Putin is no longer in office in Russia I am going to retire in Kiev Ukraine. I am not going back to Ukraine even on vacation as long as Putin is in office. If not for the United States Putin would have already murdered more Ukrainians than the 7 million people Joseph Stalin murdered. Ukraine is peaceful and has no chance whatsoever against Putin's warmongering and land grabbing if he decides to roll tanks over the country for no reason committing mass murder.
One day, this war will be ended. We have a lot more different traditional dishes, some of them are even very specific. Also in Ukraine we have "Kulish", this is a dish from Cossack times that is quick to prepare and can be cooked for many people at once. More traditional I think, but we less make it now.
Iam a very big fan of your Ukrainian traditional recipes mam.😋 😀 😊 As i am myself love TRADITIONAL food i too post many INDIAN TRADITIONAL DISHES on my sarathi easy cooking. Love your cooking and different tastes 😋 looking forward for more yummy healthy olden recipes.
Gelatine and pork can Look weird but i had an aunt Born in 1915 that made It, and i Remember It contained also same pine corn. It was kept in the freezer. Im from western Europe.
NOT pierogi...it's PIROHI....and traditionally (the older hunkies) used Lekvar (prune butter for those that aren't hunkies)....but he best is stuffed with sauerkraut, fried or with honey added...or potato and cheese, or greens with farmers cheese...all sorts of stuffings inside...fried up with loads of butter and onions....notice theme...fat, onions, garlic, cabbage...flavor!
It's KOLBASI....NOT kolbasa....and yes, in a local smoke house, NOT the garbage in the super market.....same place I get my garlic smoked bacon....note garlic in everything!! and pork , grease, onion, cabbage...flavor, flavor, flavor!!!
Wow yummy looking very tasty beautiful recipe

PROPHETIC WORDS. God bless, protect and strengthen the people of Ukraine.
Eerily prophetic. Hopefully, allot of displaced Ukrainians will come to the US and open some restaurants.

Mind as well have Glados from Portal to narrate the video
why the machine robot voice that can not even properly pronounce things?
7 of the 10 dishes are the same as in Poland, 5 as in Russia and a few in Belarus. The cuisine is never state-owned, the cuisine is regional.
In rassa you know gowno & dermo
Та не сейло, а сало. А пиріжки де?
Хахаах
Ukraine food have more similarity with Europe cuisine
What about chicken Kiev?
th-cam.com/video/CDcKkC0Qnh8/w-d-xo.html
Hi, it’s more of a restaurant dish than a staple home made dish. Not so popular in Ukraine
@@jollyberry1276 I guess more popular in Russia. Hence why Russia has commenced the special military operation….to take back the chicken Kiev
No onions please
Es bonita la gastronomía de Ucrania
niesamowita masa błędów !!!!!!!!! w podkładzie filmowym . mam wrażenie że narrator nie miał pojęcia o czym mówi :(
Борщ с салом прекрасное блюдо.
Hi I am Ukrainian and you forgot to include kotleti and duck
got me interested - what about duck? which dish are you talking about?
And a little bit of chicken fried?

What is this garbage?? Ugh.
Excuse you
@mozabique here m I hate the monotone robotic recitation. It ruins what should be a celebration of glorious food.
we have delicious food, you probably do not have culture and that is why you say these words
its ok sometimes Chris Diduch
