I can't tell you how much your essence system has helped me in my personal style journey 💖 So often I would try to dress like a R+D person and even though the outfit was cute it didn't feel right somehow. Your system made that click for me. I love learning about style systems like Kibbe and seasonal color analysis and they were helpful in many ways but also started to feel a bit stifling. Knowing that I'm L+D I now give myself "permission" to break or bend these "rules" if they don't feel like me and that feels so good 🥰

I'm so happy to hear that - I find it a bit challenging to explain in super simple terms what R+D or L+D *are* but once you get it and see it, it's really clear and so helpful to understand why some thing just aren't for us and why some things may go against "rules and recommendations" but really enhance our beauty and make us feel great

Sooo literally me. Especially not wanting to feel like I'm in a costume and concerned with even small simple changes. Even if I think it's the most basic pieces that will look normal and nice on anyone, I can still feel not right or not feel like it's me (costume/poser) for whatever reason. Then I'll get uncomfortable and self-conscious ngl, lol so whenever I make a change it has to be subtle, comfortable, and eased into it.

I'm so glad you recognize yourself in this - noticing our sensitivity to style is so important because once you notice you can actually work WITH it and be kind to yourself (as you are doing) rather than trying to force yourself to "get over it" (which is never a sustainable strategy)

Thank you for all the time and care you put into helping us understand 💖💕 I really like how your system accounts for people’s feelings and mindsets and not just how things appear. That is what can make it complicated, because people are complicated, but it’s worthwhile!! And you’ve done so well at organising all your thoughts and ideas into a straightforward system

I LOVE the nature analogy! I am Moonstone but I love to learn about the Ruby universe and how it is different in it's essence.

I'm glad you vibed with it! I think the sweet thing about Moonstone essence is that even though you like the idea and feel of the "abundant liberated free nature" in theory, in practice you can't help but want to tidy it up and structure it. I find that Moonstones love tending to their garden and cultivating a vibe of "control with spontaneity and freedom mixed in"

I am Kind of stuck between the left up and left down. The explanation of the struggle really resonated with my current problems though. It’s always lovely to watch your videos ❤ such a fan ✊🤩

This is what is distinctive and so helpful about your method, is it goes straight to the heart of our individual style. At first it was hard for me to get it because it can come across so abstract but once I got it ,it really made all the difference. As someone who is creative, I love so many different aesthetics and it can make shopping and dressing a confusing mess, but understanding what is under it all really simplified and while I'm still in the discovery phase of this method, it's already made a difference in how I dress, allowing me to be much more authentic. Keep up the great work and I wish for you a lot of success💞🤗

Rita I did a gentle guidance with you a few years ago and we talked about the main character for me. The system has changed a lot since then (that was before it became the style key) and after exploring other systems I’ve realized this is my style key. I get so lost when I try and put myself into a colour season or kibbe type and it just leads nowhere. But something that has really helped was figuring out my style roots ala Ellie Jean and that lead me back here. It’s the inner parts of myself that I want to express that lead me to the style that feels the way I want to in the world and it feels like coming home! Long journey but here I am!!! A left down cool girl/seductress

Oh wow as I was typing that you were just talking about the multidimensional thing, and that’s sooo true for me. I do feel that pressure to have a very cohesive style but that always makes me feel hemmed in.

I came back to rewatch this because I just love your system, but I was feeling so disconnected from myself and listening to this was so helpful. Would you consider making a video about the showing/hiding thing? I just want it selfishly tbh but to me it also seems like it’s a distinctive feature of the ruby key that might be a good litmus test for people who aren’t sure where they fit? Maybe you could make it a series with an equivalent video for the other quadrants? About these distinctive considerations each type has

Thank you for the request 🌸 I strive for a balance between educational public offerings that give you enough to work with and my paid content which is more advanced.
I have the style key Mastery for each of the keys and that includes the visual guide, the archetype guide, and the audio course (which includes all my deepest insights including a discussion of showing/hiding for Ruby). You can find it right here: www.stylethoughtsbyrita.com/stylekeymastery
I don't think showing/hiding is a good "test" for style key because ultimately it's just a technique and many people could successfully apply it

@@StyleThoughtsbyRita It must be a tricky balance between public and paid information! Totally understand if there’s things you want to keep in your paid content, you’re already so generous with what you’ve made freely available and it’s good to have boundaries 💕
That makes sense, now that I think about it even the way that I’ve always used it is more about hiding/showing my personality which is different than for many people who focus on hiding/showing the body

My biggest style "challenge" is feeling "feminine". I work from home so its so easy to get in a rut because its not i dont need a work "uniform". I also have this active lifestyle with a high energy dog.
So its working out what feminine means to be, without going to the extreme. I need pratical walking boots, so its like what can I change to keep practical but feel a bit feminine. For me it might be keeping my botttom half in practical and wearing an interesting blouse insread of default of jeans/tshirts. Or wearing jeans and a spagetti style tshirt and throwing a becah cover up over it instead of a cardi for a bit of sensual movement.

I totally feel you Rita! I resonate so much w everything that you said and it’s so exciting to have this kinda help where you’re seeing who I truly am that it feels almost too easy but I’m allowing myself to just let it go especially when it comes to sensuality, lil bit of uncomfortable feelings around that but it certainly feels like to home adding that touch in my clothing

I wonder if Joss Stone is a Wildflower. Just came to my mind 😂. I think she fits so perfect this archetype. For me she seems to be very elemental, sensual, approachable and ease. This video is so great ❤🎉! You really hit the nail by discribing all the different vibes/essences. That helped me a lot. Thank you, gorgeous Rita 😊!

      Hi Hiba! I'm wearing
      Nyx lip pencil plum
Lumene moisture lipstick 04 wild Heather
Max factor honey lacquer in blooming berry
Probably the lip gloss is the star of the show so I would look there first
