I loved hearing you mention how certain kinds of floral prints often work or don't work for each Style Key. I'm an Amethyst girl who loves wearing florals but I'm extremely specific about the types that I love to wear and the types that I hate to wear. At least for me, a gridlike placement of florals feels too Right, and ditsy-sized florals feel too Down. Some keywords that I keep in mind when I'm looking for floral prints are: organic, wild, lush, sketched, and painterly. (Just wanted to add that this entire stream was great and I would totally watch more!)

This was so interesting. I think the book should definitely be more complex or aspirational outfits as opposed to low-maintenance ones, or rather, the low maintenance ones should be quite creative or intriguing still. Because for some of us Rubys, when we are overwhelmed by the process or choice by or just want comfort, we resort to too simple and boring, sloppy, in a way?

Thank you! I think the lookbook has a really good balance of both, lmk what you think!

yessss being a busty apple can be so alienating when i dare to online shop - i rly can’t go outside of what cuts i know to try something else bc on top of not being represented i don’t have a very good predictive sense of how fabric falls in general even on more represented bodies. in store is the only time i buy

It really is so tough, why can't they show us different bodies?

Hi Rita! Couldn’t catch the stream and idk if anyone mentioned this, but Lucy and yak has some great ribbed tops and they focus on fun colors and showing clothes on many body sizes. I tried their cropped tops and turtlenecks after our consult/your recommendation for ribbed material and they feel so good on my LD/ruby self :)

Hey Rita! Great video. These kinds of casual conversations are some of my favorites. I learn a lot - even as you work your way around the technology - hear how you think through concepts. Also, your outfit = chef’s kiss. The fabric flowers + bling + pink lips/nails + cream + pink + lavender + blue eyes + Barbie cup - all so comfy and fancy and elegant together.

That was fun! I always thought I would love to talk with you about clothes for hours and now my wish is being fulfilled (kind of 🙂). Loved to see your thought process and how much effort you put into making your content. Looking forward to the next one!

Rita I’d love to see a video like this for those of us who are very curvy but not plus size. For example I’m a size 4 and a petite 5’2”, but my shape is exactly like the images of the Evans website. But clothing manufacturers only make curvy shapes in plus sizes. So if I look for a “wrap dress” or “wrap top” in my size, the shapes become very rectangular and straight and there is no room for hips or boobs, they basically take the shape of a men’s dress shirt and add a belt to it. This is the number one reason why I have nothing to wear! I can’t find curve accommodation under a size 14!

I should add that this is the case over the last five years or so because clothing trends have been more square and boxy. So ONLY plus size clothing is being made with curves in mind. But back in the 2000’s when JLo shapes ruled the fashion scene, all the clothing was curvy even in small sizes! I literally have not loved my clothes since 2011. I have been dressing like a boring Betty flour sack since then because I can’t find curves anywhere except in plus size section now!

FWIW, Pinterest did start to add search customization for body shape and size (at least in beta). It works to some degree, but I'm unsure if it goes off of tags or AI, bc I'll see a few page scrolls worth of larger models and then it'll revert to size 8 or below models. A WIP for sure, but I'm hopeful they'll adjust and improve over time.

Your necklace is gorgeous. I have a question about that style, is it a style that works well for R-U Sapphire? Or is it more related to an archetype or something any quadrant could wear depending on styling?
