    I believe that “mesquite” tree is actually an elm. We have them all over LBK county. They grow great for several years then all of a sudden they’re dead. But nearly every abandoned place around here has them. I’ve cut several cords of elm for firewood just due to their availability in this area.

      You may be right. That might be a Golden Wych Elm, which are somewhat rare here in West Texas, and might be why I thought it was a mesquite. Also, I found out through another viewer that the incinerator stack might've been a brick kiln at one time. You all are smart. Cheers. :)

      Brand new chain, apparently, and very nice & clean. The original one, I'm told, is up the road from that location in the town of Tarzan, Texas. Thus, the name, I suppose. Cheers and thanks. :)

      Thanks! I should've stayed still and let that horse smell me a little longer before I put my hand out there. I bet he would've let me pet him. :-)

      @TimKreitzAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heh-heh. Those ain't twisties. Those are go-too-fast-and-wad-it-in-the-sandy-spot curves. The good motorcycle roads in West Texas are down around Fort Davis. The rest are straight as an arrow, dusted with sand and gravel, or all of the above. ;-)

    Ah, Autumn. A bit different there than here, but ours has been rather warm thus far, not a great deal of color in the trees yet except for the dogwoods. Got some interesting photos from early morning rides in southern VA, fog shrouding the valleys below the overlook at Hungry Mother State Park (not sure of the derivation of that name), one reward for venturing onto the Back of the Dragon at dawn. Between NC, VA, a small piece of KY, TN, MD and PA, got in nearly 2500 miles in the last 10 days, met several folks I've come to know through their YT channels. Great time of year (of course I'm biased, born on Halloween).

      That's a great birthday date. Halloween is my favorite of all the holidays. Autumn is an on-off season here in Western Texas. One day, the air will be cool and refreshing, the next day it's 90º again. Still, we get some of the nice seasonal smells in the air and the cool nights are most enjoyable. Cheers, and upcoming Happy Birthday.

    • @triumphrider9796
      @triumphrider9796 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Tim! It is a great birth date, hard to beat Samhain when you're a Celt at heart (hard to believe this body will be 67 though). Met up with a local vlogger named Ron C. on my way south, he put the Bonnie and me (more so the Bonnie) in a vid he called "Meeting a Subscriber", so I guess I'm mildly famous (or maybe notorious?) as I've appeared on two different channels now, each time with a different one of my Triumphs.

    Man... that's the best damn music you've ever put in one of your videos. Is that some slide blues on an old resonator guitar? One of y'all playing or just some royalty free stuff? Sounds like Justin Johnson.
