Sometimes it’s good to be alone. Add in a highway and a far and wide view of some beautiful country near dusk or dawn and you’re truly livin’. This is THAT kind of music and I love it.

Yep, stuck in Albuquerque in 77, no money, didn't know a soul. No food for 7 days. Bought an orange at the flea market. Walked out to interstate, flipped a coin, east or west. Got picked up in Oklahoma, started cooking at a restaurant for money and food. Worked the oil field, construction. Nearly 50 years later, retired, building a few instruments, gardening, write some poetry, fly fish occasionally. Sometimes late at night, I think of the journey. Some of it unpleasant, but generally good. Theme through it all was, "I'd rather be alive than dead."

Simple solution... Except Jesus Christ as your personal savior, you will never feel lonely. I love people, don't like them all and most of them are hard to be around, I also enjoy my time by myself, but I never feel lonely! Halleluyah...
Jesus I trust in you, please save me! Sounds silly mean those words see what happens...
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We happened by Las Cruces visiting my wife’s aunt and uncle on a motorcycle ride from the east coast. It was a good stop, they were getting older, good short visit.
Got back on the 10 heading east, there was a full moon with the base hitting the horizon and the sun in my rear view hitting the horizon dead up same time. If I were a photographer I would plan for such events. Affordable as it was as bad ass as it gets by happenstance.
Oh and the chilicahilies in Las Cruces for breakfast the next morning were awesome as well.

I live in the Appalachian mountains, and I never truly understood the West until we drove across the country to California. I live in a place right of the AT, and you can get lost in the wilderness and die, but.. the desert expance ....., There is something mysterious, magical, frightening, awesome, beautiful, terrifying, and wonderful about the desert. New Mexico sang to me in a way I did not expect.

If you ride with headphones and want to try an experiment on the bike, try some Slayer tunes. A lot of their stuff comes in around 180-190bpm and then you time your cadence with the bpm it'll keep you right in that 90-95rpm wheelhouse. There's even faster stuff out there in the 270-280bpm range that also lines up, but that's not for everyone.

Awesome Grooves~!! Reminds me of many a solo journey thru the mountains out west ~ & many a glorious sunset, star-filled nights, trail ride near Granite Peaks, making home made ice cream & taking it to 'Virgina's' a local landmark that has been reopened...house-sitting in some beautiful & remote places near National Forrest on the outskirts of Durango & Vallecito, Ouray & magical journeys driving to Telluride, Montrose & the smell of the crisp clean pines & the beauty of the summer wildflowers, the breathtaking beauty of watching snow storms coming over the horizon & mountain range, the extraordinary colors in the fall that was like driving in a beautiful painting ~ very surreal...driving back roads to Taos & the rocky cliffs of New Mexico seemed to harken of ancient Native Amerocan Spirits of long ago ~ discovering & driving the 'COSMIC HIGHWAY both at night & during the daylight too & how much brighter the stars were out there & the ethereal vibes & feeling one would get in that area...between Alamosa/Fort Garland, Crestone & Monte Vista...did alot of solo journeying & soul searching...& Oh, my 1st {& so far 'only' plane trip in a small barely 4 passenger restored airplane flying out of Durango to Mesa, AZ ~ over the painted desert...WOW~!! {Would love to do something like thst again~!} & the views were breathtaking & seeing a rainbow from the sky ~ so many rainbows in Colorado too!
The magnificent rainbow I followed as I drove one misty day from Delores to Chimney Rock & at one point I thought the rainbow had vanished & looked out the driver's side window as it had been in front of me & discoverd I was actually driving 'inside the rainbow'🌈 & the feeling I had & the 2 interesting encounters I had w/2 people met that day~! Miles apart & 1 had shared of a miraculous near dearh experience shd had & the other was at the end of the day during the moonlight tour at Chimney Rock & randomly started pointing things out in the sky I was seeing & struck-up a conversation w/a woman there & shared the story of the woman I had met a few hours earlier & that she had been a well-known artist & had done an exhibit in the same gallery as Andy Warhol in the 70's {Barbara Winterer-Schultz} ...turned-out the woman I struck-up a conversation w/at Chimney Rock knew her & never knew what happened to her & I shared her ND Spiritual experience & the healing that seemed to take place as she shared her life story w/me & that Barbara has the bluest eyes that just sparkled of LOVE & a SPIRIT that had been DIVINELY-TOUCHED~!
& In my journey after meeting her & seeing this very huge & vivid rainbow ~ almost the whole way ~ & saw it for over 50 mi~& just as it faded & was approacing Chimney Rock for a full moonlight candlight trail tour ~ I looked up to the 2 stone spires at Chimney Rock about 10-15 mi to go & there was another extraordinary & brilliant rainbow that appeared & was going right between the 2 stone spires~!! It was such an exhilerating Spiritual experience & series of synchronicities & serendipitous events & felt more like 'home' than where I lived ever did or anywhere else I've been~!! Long to travel back to that area...has been 14 yrs~!! Life & health took a turn & has made many things like traveling rather difficult... But, I still hope to overcome the challenges & journey there & to see & experience the Painted Dessert, Sedonna, the giant & noble Sequoias & Redwoods, etc...
I Met & became well acqainted w/some interesting musicians, artists & just good folks ~ 'all of us on a higher Spiritual frequency'~!!
WOW~!! Listening to this while composing these thoughts & fond memories~ who would think ~ that all this be evoked & would flow from the resonance of this wonderful 🪄magical music~!! 🎶😘 🎶
This music takes me right back there in time ~ to a transcendent & special time & taking in nature's beauty~!!
THAN~Q~!! For creating & sharing this - these ethereal & smooth luminous vibes ~ something very mystical & transcendent about this music & also experience extreme insomnia & tinnitus & this seems to soothe the soul & calm the mind~!! So appreciate your talent & this offering & most definitely be playing this on a regular basis & will check your other offerings & channel out~!! PEACE, BLESSINGS & MUCH GRATITUDE~!! 🤗🙌☄️🫂✨🎶🕊️🎆💟🎆🕊️🎶✨

I can practically see the turquoise and silver jewelry now. And watch the sun slip beneath the horizon as the air grows cold, first slowly and then real quick.

Less than a minute in to this and can't hit that subscribe button fast enough! 😊 Great stuff. Instantly transported to the high desert and raw landscape of the southwest... at nearly 7000 feet in elevation, while standing among a grove of sparce juniper and pinon pine with a wind that chilled to the bone while watching the brilliant colors of the sunset washed over the raw land landscape all around me, no other audible human noise.. This music reminds me of exactly why I stood out there in the wind, to feel those sunset colors in my soul. Thank you for great work. 👍

Oh, Oh...El Negro. I just had a memory that you may find interesting. for about 15 years i lived around Belen, New Mexico which is a major hub for BNSF railroad. How many times I would be comforted by the sound of the engines pulling up the long, slight slope coming out of town going west. Or i would hear the train coming down the hill with the brakes straining and screeching to slow her down coming into town where they would stop to fuel up. the sounds of the trains were way off in the background, noticeable, but not noisy.
So, I wanted to suggest that these sounds could be used way in the background for some of your music. you know that the railroad was central in the history of the West, some good, some bad.
Aside from that, I love the songs with the deep reverb. sounds like walking along the mesas and through the rocky canyons.
