So amazing to watch the transformation from Chunk to Giant Chisel Rough to Knife Detail to Precision Cuts to Woodburning the effects and winding up with another master piece. Amazing Doug just like Michelangelo removing the marble from the David trapped inside, you have brought Frank from the bark into our view. Crazy Good!
That was interesting to see how all those different chisels built the face, he looks very real!

Doug, I have an almost identical slick, gifted to me by an older friend thirty years ago, that had belonged to his grandfather, in a word it is elderly, like its current owner. Love using it. Always enjoy your videos.

Those chisels go through that wood like it's butter.The cotton wood is much darker than I expected.No carving glove needed anymore, but what a bite those chisels would take out if you misplaced your thumb for an instant. Man you knocked that out quick, masterfully done.
