@@richardrickmason6456 Hi Rik, definitely enjoyed doing this one, quite a few of those I'd not looked at in years. Just seen you've bought another so will be packing together today. @@KitbashedKustoms Thanks Jimmy, I loved look through these ones... I think my favourite is the 64 Bonneville so hopefully get round to doing that one sooner rather than later 🙂 thanks again buddy and hope you're keeping well 🙂
Those early to mid sixties pontiacs are one of my favorites, I realy like the tri color interior in the early ones. I was able to get me a modern issue 62 pontiac as a I had the idea of building few early nascar race cars from them. Thank you for sharing this video John, always nice to see these old kits and see how the optional parts been take away et. Take care and have a nice rest of the weekend 😎👍🏻
@@askoseppanen3779 thanks Asko, that newer tool 62 Bonneville is a really nice kit, actually tried to get one myself recently but got outbid early on. Great idea with the early NASCAR, would love to do something similar myself in time. Really glad you enjoyed the video anyways buddy ☺️
Another fascinating look at some great kit histories John! I wish they still had those AMT spray paints, some really gorgeous colors indeed! You have a real nice selection of Pontiacs there! I would be overwhelmed to see Your entire collection! From what You have shown, it has to be full of some real gem kits! Thank You so much for taking the time and having the consideration of sharing what You have with Us here in tubeland! Looking forward to the next video! take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
@@russellpoland6637 Hi Russell, I must admit a lot of those Pontiacs won't make the cull and will definitely be staying in the collection for now. I've not looked at most of these in years but seeing things like that 64 Bonneville really does make you fall in love with them again. Though the collection is definitely getting thinned down, I'll still have an abundance of the nicer stuff I can't part with.. not just year anyways so hopefully with me giving up eBay soon it'll give me more time to concentrate on building some of these old kits. I've already seen ones I've sold being built and great works in progress across Facebook pages so this is the thing that makes it worth me selling the ones I have, so great to see other people enjoy them and actually get them finished like they should be. Thanks again Russell for all your support, it's greatly appreciated as always. Take care and speak soon 😊
I don't think I've ever seen so many Pontiacs in one place.👍👀 Nice variety of colours👍😃I saw a real Toronado for sale over here recently, that must be unique for the U.K. 😎. Thanks for showing another highly educational video👍😎Pete 🤓

Wangers 🤦🏻♂️🤣. Holy smokes John!! What an incredible array of beautiful Pontiacs. Some really sharp builds to keep as is too or just clean up. I love those old box arts too. They were so good. Such a collection of awesome kits and awesome boxes. Thank you very much for sharing these, my friend.

Constantly surprised what you have on your shelves John, I must have had two or three ‘64 Grand Prixs off you and you’ve got another three there! 😂 Get that Judge done, it looks really close. I’ve got a ‘69 Firebird in the same 95% done stage that I just can’t get around to finishing. Maybe we should have a one hour to finish it group build 😀
@@CycolacFan Thanks Mike, I suprise myself sometimes 😂 haven't looked at some of that stuff in years. And definitely sounds like a good idea on a bit of a group build, I don't have many like that gto so would definitely be a good push to get things like that done 🙂, just sorting through more random junk now so probably another late night for me anyways 😂
Another lovely trip through some old plastic! Do you know if there was a kit of 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix? I've seen a picture of a resin kit but have yet to locate anything. It's kind of become my grail/very hard to find kit, that I want to be able to do a replica of Larry Watsons first Lace paint job. If not, may have to settle for the 64 Grand prix.
@@sodakmodelcars sorry Adam, just seen this one now. From how I understand it, amt released the 63 Bonneville in late 62, updated the tooling for the 64 late 63 to push it out as quick as possible before altering the tooling completely for the grand Prix eliminating the Bonneville line. I think they did this because they used the 63/64 convertible body tooling for the 65 Bonneville as the roof was so different then used the 64 grand Prix hardtop for the 65 GP. I think mpc then got the licencing for the Pontiac line from 66 onwards. That's just how I've worked it out in my head knowing how companies were pre-boxiing new model years as far in advance as they could in sight of changing tooling to keep up with new model years and maximizing shelf space with different models.. all quite clever thinking about it. I think the grand Prix roof is pretty much the same from 63-65 so if you did run across a 63 builder then transplanting the GP roof wouldn't be too difficult.
@J.B.Scale.Creations Thanks for the info. The roof is one thing I did notice seeing them all in succession that the easy to find 65GP would have the same roof line if I were to come across a convertible or damaged roof 63. Thanks for sharing the collection and knowledge!
I have a old built up of a 65 Grand Prix that has custom parts on the front and back with the vinyl top model in and the newer releases doesn't have a vinyl top, do you know about when they removed it ? something else could the putty in custom parts be rewarding easily? I sent you a message on eBay about some 64 to 67 vetts how many cars would I have to get to make worth shipping to usa I'm looking for a cheap decent earlier monogram 55 chevy
@@brianlewis6926 Hi Brian, I think the 65 vinyl roof got deleted for the 1980 cruzin USA kit we saw in the video. As far as I'm aware it was still on the 70s issue of the grand slam issue but assuming it didn't fly for the custom only optioned barris kit. I thought they may have restored the top for the more recent rebox of the grand slam issue by round2 but just a quick check shows it still has the vinyl top delete yet still showed it as original on the side box art. I didn't realise that was you but did drop you a reply. My public channel email is thescalereviver@yahoo.com (should be in the channel description too). If you want to let me know which ones you're after (maybe send a screenshot as I have a few vettes left over on there currently) then I'll see what I can do to save you some money. In regards to the original 55 Chevy's, I may have some but it's not going to be after new year before I get round to sorting through those as I wasn't particularly planning on selling any and not priority but once I've pieced together the ones I have with all the parts I may be able to help out on that. Many thanks again, and hope you're keeping well 🙂
