It hard to say specifically, but a few things come to mind. Your bank account is used in addition to your BVN to verify your identity. It can also be used to send you money when the company pays a dividend.

Hi Daniel, I haven't received my allotment yet. But you can check if your shares has been allotted on CSCS Online website. I have just made a video that shows how to do this. You may also be able to see on the Primary offer app too, but we'll wait and see how that works.
