The MTN share price is mamipulated upwardly. I'm very sure the share price of MTN will fall some months after the public to N120 to N135 per share. in other words, now is actually the right time to sell and not to buy. I intend to buy the share after the public offer.

@@ayodeleayanfe There's a place for you to provide the number if you already have one but if you don't, select you don't and one would be provided for you. Access bank is only an intermediary and your account with them would be used for payment of dividend.

Thanks Fisayo, most people would not read the documents involved as part of MTN's due diligence before they invest, due too time and FOMO, and most can't read financial statements even tho MTN listed recently, could you do a summary for all docs from term sheet too prospectus for people that do no understand.
Very insightful video Fisayo. I have a little concern tho. This is a wonderful opportunity, but with the significant volatility of the Naira, don't you think any profit made by holding MTN stock will be eroded? Especially now where people are saving and investing in other strong currencies eg US dollars
I have a bit of challenge with the fact that the MTN offer is a an offer for sale which technically means that the shares are been sold by existing shareholders and proceeds of sales go to the shareholders and not MTN as a company. The question for me is why would a shareholder be selling their shares?
A shareholder may want to cash out after holding for so long. It's just like you too buying the shares now and selling them later in the future when the price goes higher, to make a profit. And don't forget Elon Musk sold his PayPal shares to invest in Tesla, SpaceX and other companies. And you know even recently, he sold 10% of his Tesla shares to provide funds to solve the global hunger problem.
My understanding is that the foreign parent company is trying to divest part of its holding over time in order to better comply with Nigeria's local content requirements.

Don't be fool. the fair value of the company share in not N169 p/s. The company is given the bonus to attract investor, the share value will drop after public offer and the bonus will be eroded. its better to buy after the IPO

Nice one sir but from my calculations and observation from MTN share price on trove over a 2 years the profit is little I prefer the U.S stocks looking at the country a dollar or more earned would be worth more than profit from 20 mtn shares

You end up tying down your funds for months, only to get a measly allotment at the end of the day....Or will the shares be allotted on a "first come, first served" basis? Is it perhaps better to purchase the shares directly from the floor at about N200 (except that you would lose the bonus share for every purchase of 20?)

Hello good… erm so I am a total novice when it comes to this, but I got shares via primary , and created a cscs account myself …but I didn’t get dividend … I don’t know who to talk to and I don’t even know what to do… please I will be glad if you could explain the steps to get the dividend thanks soooo much
From my own opinion, mtn group can say they want Nigerians to own their shares, i call it a bluff. They have probably lost interest in their investments in nigeria so they are slowly selling off their shares/investments in the country
